  • BACK TO POINT PLEASANT

"We've been coming to the U.S.V.I. for over thirty years. And have stayed at Point Pleasant a couple of time in the past. The property seemed nicer than I remember! The condo was well furnished and everything was in working order, and the bathroom looked like it had just had a nice update. The condo has a very nice view, with a large "L" shaped deck area."

  • Our most relaxing vacation ever!

"We look forward to staying at the Stonehouse again! This was the most relaxing vacation we have ever been on and the Larimar unit was perfect for the two of us. There are so many wonderful and thoughtful features at the Stonehouse...from the beautiful plants & landscaping to the complimentary snorkel gear, beach bags and beach chairs we had everything we needed and much more. With a quick trip to the local grocery store (thanks Robert & Joanie!) we stocked up on breakfast and lunch items and walked down the road for dinner at Secret Harbour Beach. After visiting other beaches on St. Thomas, we quickly discovered we had the best beach right down the road (only a 10 minute walk!). We were glad we didn't rent a car since taxis are always available to take you to other beaches/hot spots on St. Thomas and we were especially glad since we spent most of our time at Secret Harbour Beach anyway. I was also amazed by all of the friendly little creatures at the Stonehouse...loved seeing the hummingbirds, iguanas, small lizards and birds & even deer in the garden right outside our front door and private deck. The privacy here is amazing! If you are looking for a fun and relaxing vacation, this is the place!"

  • A Jewel: the island and the property

"We have sojourned three different winters here at Sapphire Beach West (SBW) and have dealt with the same family/owners. Tom B. is the most efficient, helpful, knowledgeable, affable and dependable and owner/renter we have ever had the pleasure of renting from in all of our years of travel and using VRBO rentals. This association has been the fundamental reason we have kept returning. This is not to diminish one bit the perfection of the location and place out here at (SBW). We feel that the beautiful views seen from and around SBW, the quietness of the place, the maintenance of the picturesque grounds and the properties, themselves make SBW exceptional. We've driven all over the island and in our view, do not think there is a better choice available for a stay of a week or more. Charlotte Amalie is easily reachable and though traffic can be often tied up, it's never for long and there are always sights to enjoy (truly) while you wait to start moving again. Only once have we ever witnessed any road-warrior rage and that was two locals upset with the driving of another local in town. Traffic moves slowly but with everyone sharing and giving way at intersections and at parking lots and traffic lights the "island" pace is, dare I say, enjoyable. I love the use of American cars with the steering on the left which puts one's edge-of-the-road right there giving the opposing traffic as much room as the roads allow. We have, in our visits, found a delightful coffee shop/internet café outside of which to while away an hour or more reading in the coolness of the porch's shading tropical trees. Though close to the cruise ship madness of Havenside, those tourists seem almost unaware of this perfect spot to relax. The place? Don't overlook The Barefoot Buddha when you're in town and looking for great coffee flavors, fresh baked goods, relative quiet and coolness during the tropical day. And, too, Tom has yet to include the Frenchtown Rock among his recommended dining places. It's new, great selection of authentic Jamaican/Caribbean dishes. Just one block north of the Dronningens Gade main drag, at Bakery Square. They close at 6 PM. We highly recommend the place for an early dinner where we ate twice this year. So much to say-all positive, about the island but most of all Tom's two places here at SBW especially for the 55+."

  • Paradise

"Can't say enough about this wonderful house! It was more than perfect. I was worried after reading some negative reviews about the downstairs rooms and some other remarks about safety and they were so wrong! The house was in the most wonderful location and the owners have all safety measures in place and absolutely no problems. We had 10 adults and 4 children ages 7 though 1 and the set up was wonderful. We did bring monitor for the baby and set it up for naps and bedtime and worked great. The beach was not for swimming but was great for other activities such as kayaking and paddle boarding. Secret Harbor Beach was great, Cokie Beach was very pretty but I would not advise to go with children! (Lots of locales smoking funny stuff) we Also had Gavin cook and he and the food was fantastic. Best of all was the views nothing better and I truly miss them. I recommend this beautiful house to anyone considering a vacation in St. Thomas! Thanks for sharing your house with us."
