  • A lovely, comfortable stay

"Have enjoyed our stay. The views are awesome and the beach is right outside our door. We hiked to Red Hook and back yesterday. Although it is a bit of a trek, it was doable. The condo is spacious and well-appointed. We have everything we need. Would definitely stay here again."

  • priced perfectly

"perfect location, huge patio us only, sooooo close to the beach and snorkel! plenty of room for our 2 adults and 3 kids. True 2 bedrooms unlike other condos. Yes, interior/electronics are dated, but, we didn't expect high end resort amenities anyway. And it was priced as so. How much time do you stay in a room on a beach vacation? we just used it to sleep and cook and shower. Internet was slpotchy, however, AT&T smart phone service was great."

  • Beautiful villa - photos do not exaggerate!!

"Our family group of eight (including two kids) enjoyed a fabulous week in Blazing Villas. The villa is lovely and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is well-equipped and you have access to gas grill in the patio. Each of the three bedrooms is enormous and has a private full bathroom. We did a lot of cooking on site, but did run into Red Hook to try put a few of their excellent restaurants. The ferry to St John took us to that island for a fun day's outing. Each day we went to a nearby beach - at least three gorgeous beaches are within 10 minutes - Coki Beach, Lindquist Beach and Sapphire Beach... Each a bit different and more lovely than the others. When construction is completed on an adjacent property, there is a convenient and lovely beach right there...we did not swim on Pineapple Beach as it had been neglected due to the construction. One lovely feature is the private, enclosed courtyard / patio with a table; we ate every breakfast in the courtyard - and were delighted with the confinement it afforded for our 20-month-old and five-year-old. They were able to play in the yard and we did not have to worry they would wander off. The lodging included the housekeeping services of Veronica who helped us on several occasions. The home is lovely, sparkling clean and had every amenity we wanted. We've visited the Virgin Islands several times and would love to return to Blazing Villas again."

  • Great Location and Fabulous view!!

"My husband and I stayed at Lion's Gate Getaway for a week and we absolutely loved it!!! The apartment is very comfortable with a full kitchen stocked with all amenities and appliances you could think of: blender, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, Cuisinart...even some little beer cozies! There is air conditioning, however we were fine with just leaving the windows open, as there is a great cross breeze that blows through and keeps the place cool. The front porch is AMAZING! It provides a terrific view of the harbor as well as the trees and hills. It served as a great outdoor dining area where we ate a few meals as well as had morning coffee out there. Mosquitos love me, so it was great that there were mosquito coils in the kitchen for use when sitting out on the porch so I was not a "buffet." There is a queen sized bed that was comfortable with high quality linens and pillows. The pillows are soft, which we were okay with. The stone shower was huge! Good water pressure and no issues with hot water. This was a great location as we were walking distance to the Red Hook area which has many bars, restaurants, a grocery store (Moe's), as well as the Inter-island ferry dock right across the street. As this property is located at the TOP of a hill, it takes 2-3 minutes to walk into town (all downhill). However, to walk back up to Lion's Gate it is a STEEP hill. My hubby and I are in good shape and we timed it: 8 1/2 minutes to walk up the hill. So it is doable...but it is a climb. It does help to burn off rum drinks we had each day though :) That said, it is just as easy to get a cab that will bring you back up to the property if you don't want to climb. So don't let that deter you. We loved being up on that hill, as the view was phenomenal! To rent a car or not: If you rent a car, you will have a parking spot right in front of the property. I would say it's good to rent a car for at least part of your stay. It ensures you can sight see around the island. However, the cabs to go all over the island. They charge per passenger, but are fixed rates: so it ranges from $5-11 per person based upon the distance you are going. Do ask Max for suggestions on what to do and where to go. She is really great and helpful! We didn't do a sailing trip with her this visit, but fully will next time! Totally recommend this place for those wanting a place convenient to town with wonderful views."
