"My wife, 5-year old daughter and I loved this unit and location. We so much hated to leave. The view is stupendous and the sound of the ocean is always there. Kim and Peter were very nice and always available when we needed something. Tropical Storm Bertha arrived the day after we arrived in St. Thomas and Peter was nice enough to take us to the grocery store in his personal vehicle. We can't wait to return. Fortunately, Bertha was short lived and caused no damage and was gone after one day. This will go down as one of our favorite vacations."Guest: Tracy Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 12, 2014View listing
"My husband and I rented this villa while we were in St. Thomas for our destination wedding. We thought this would be a nice getaway for both of our families (who had never met each other before the trip) to get to know each other in a relaxed setting. The photos online looked amazing, but in person, the property was simply beautiful. From the start, the owner, Joanne, was very responsive and flexible. Her property manager gave us detailed information before we arrived and one of her staff met us when we landed and guided us to the house (super helpful!!). The location was perfect for us, 5 minutes from Red Hook (shops, restaurants and grocery store) and 5 minutes from Lindquist Beach where we had our wedding ceremony. The villa was spotless and a fruit basket and bottle of rum awaited us in the kitchen which was well-equipped; this was a relief because we cooked most of our meals. Joanne also allowed us to have a small meet-and-greet at the villa and all of our guests loved the home and wished they could have stayed there with us. The large outdoor patio, grill, stocked bar, and indoor/outdoor music system were perfect for hosting our gathering. Our families liked that the home was big enough that they could hang out wherever they wanted but the common areas felt homey enough for when we spent time together. Watching the sunset down at the jetty in the evenings was relaxing and we enjoyed the gardens as well. We tried a little snorkeling but there weren't enough goggles and the snorkels leaked water (maybe an upgrade is in order?). The only downside to our visit was that the infinity feature on the pool wasn't working. We were told that someone would come by during our stay to fix it but that didn't happen. The water level also ran low but the landscaper added water when he visited. We got to chatting with him and learned that the Bay Rum leaf (which is grown on the property), when broken, helps to ward off mosquitoes (great for those who don't like spraying on repellent)!! Regardless, we enjoyed the pool for several hours each day. All in all, we had an amazing time and we were definitely more relaxed on our wedding day than if we had stayed at a resort. I would do it all over again, without hesitation. Thank you, Joanne (and staff) for making our first trip to St. Thomas such an enjoyable experience!"Guest: Novia W Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 1, 2014View listing
"We enjoyed our stay at Crystal Cove. The proximity to the beach was a plus and it was fun catching sight of the iguanas. If we were to do it again, we'd rent a car. It was just not safe to walk into town (Red Hook) because the traffic on the road is nuts and there is no place to walk. The Safari (local bus-$1 per person) is a great option but it only goes INTO town ... you need to get a cab back @ $5 per person. Closest grocery store is about 2 miles and very expensive. Again, you take the Safari there but have to take a cab back. Our favorite place to eat in Red Hook was Tap & Still.....great hamburgers and only $7. Great happy hour prices too! We also took the ferry to St. John. Wish we'd gone earlier in the day though.....so much to do and not enough time to do it. Only negative we had with the condo was the bed. While it was nice to have a king size bed, for us, the mattress was just too hard and the sheets slippery because of the type of mattress pad on the bed. It would have been nice to have room-darkening shades on the bedroom windows too because of the light coming from the parking lot behind the condo. Minor discomforts but enough to make a comment about. I would recommend this condo if you like hard beds because the rest of the stay was great."Guest: Peggy O. "We loved our stay in your wonderful condo. The porch was great to sit and listen to the waves and drink coffee. At the entrance to Sapphire is a new food truck/smoker (Off The Grid) that serves the most delicious pulled pork and chicken. The on site Banana Cabana is great for a quick bite or frozen drink. The painkiller drink is great. The beach is sandy and great for shell looking. Snorkeling was great. Thank you Denise for sharing your condo and thank Paul for taking us to Latitude 18 to listen to the Fiddler. Go to top of hill to catch the safari bus to see the island."Guest: theresa s.
