"As a traveler who places a great deal of value on view when traveling to the Caribbean, I have to say that I doubt very few can top the view from Villa Caribe! We had originally planned to stay on St. John where we were married five years before our visit, but were victims of online fraud, and we lucked into getting Villa Caribe last minute for Presidents' Day week when Sue & Dewey had a change of plans. I have to say, the view of St. John and straight down the chain of the BVIs is one not to be missed. The fantastic outdoor living area has couches, table and plenty of chairs, great for a family breakfast at sunrise, or drinks in the evening after a day of exploring. The eastward exposure also allows for cooling trade wind breezes, and you don't get pounded with afternoon sun, either, which is nice. The kitchen is ultra-modern and good for cooking family meals, and each bedroom is like it's own little suite with private bath, which was really nice. They even have Internet and DirectTV for those who refuse to disconnect, although I suggest you pass on that stuff unless you have to! We even enjoyed the musical instruments and selection of tropical music they have on hand. We had some older, less able family members with us, so being able to pull up in a driveway right by the front door with only one step was awesome (and pretty rare for the USVIs). The location is also tremendous - only a few minutes from the Red Hook ferry dock for trips over to St. John (we made several), but it also has very close proximity to about a half dozen of the best beaches in St. Thomas as well. It was also nice to be super close to the Food Center grocery, just down the hill, for a quick trip for food, beverage, or forgotten supplies. All in all, a superb villa that we highly recommend!"
