  • Perfect Home Base for Your Island Adventures

"Blue Sky is a wonderful home base for your trip to the Virgin Islands. It sits on Ridge Road, overlooking Vessup Bay off the back porch with views of the Caribbean out the front door and across the street. The neighborhood is quiet, with only the occasional traffic passing on the way to or from the Secret Harbor beach and resort just down the hill. While the drive back downtown is quick, you will also be minutes away from the Red Hook ferry terminal and easy access to many other islands. You will find the house clean, secure, and well equipped. With a full kitchen (including a nicely stocked spice pantry) and a grocery store just minutes away, you do not need to rely on restaurant food if you do not want to. There are appropriate security features but the area is so safe and quiet that they must simply be there almost exclusively for deterrence. Joanie was 100% honest and cordial in her dealings. She was helpful and available without being intrusive, and she gave generously of her local knowledge. She even provided us an excellent reference for a babysitter. Rent Blue Sky with confidence. Specific tips: If you can take your eyes off the harbor, spend some time studying the trees below the back porch. You might just find an iguana or two soaking up some sun. Ludy's Place is a food truck that is parked to the left of the Food Center parking lot as you look at it from the road. The ladies there serve up delicious food at a reasonable price. It was so good we ate there twice. Check the cruise ship schedules online. While we were there, Saturday was a no-cruise-ship day so we ventured downtown to walk around. We stumbled onto a great open-air market and got to enjoy a small taste of callaloo while listening to one of the great Caribbean sounds: Men playing dominos and arguing about it. I rarely feel so happily far from home."

  • Lovely rental

"This unit is wonderful!!Extremely clean. Has all one will Need. The owner Carole is a joy to deal with. We rented this unit for three weeks. The unit is just a short walk to the laundry center, the view from her unit Is relaxing. She provides a complete list of what is in the area. The area provides many establishments to dine on. Fishtails in RedHook has a nice atmosphere and quiet and soft music. They provide an area with a tv screen with shows for little ones. Ask for Sally.Hull Bay on the other Side of the island is also a nice place to visit for taco Night. This unit is also within a two minute walk to the Boats for a days get away. We will definitely rent from her again. One could rely on taxis and the local bus system we choose to rent a car as we went to visit our daughter many times. If one likes to hike go to St. John On St Thomas go to Water Island for movie night. It is a safe and quiet area."

  • Sapphire Beach - Great

"Condo was as advertised. Two floors. 2 boys sleep on lower level on pullout couch. Upstairs bedroom has large living space. All the kitchen items you need. We even made a cake in microwave/convection oven. In addition to the chair use at Sapphire Beach, there were two cloth "bag chairs/soccer" and one shorter beach chair. Also use of a small 10 quart cooler. These were great when going to other beaches, especially when you rent a car and take it to other beaches, including car ferry to St Johns. Food Center (5 minutes away, turn left when leaving the condo) has all the food you need. We cooked most of our meals, but brought all our our food except milk and eggs. Prices are about double on the island, except some liquor which is the same or less than mainland. We did buy smooth mix and made smoothies a couple times a day in the Condo. Pool is was open and we used some evenings, even though it does not have specific pool lights. Would stay here again."

  • Awesome Vacation

"My Wife, 2 boys and I enjoyed our week at the Ritz Club in St Thomas. The Staff at the property are amazing. The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed. The owner, Ken, was great to work with. We were last minute on our planning and he worked very hard to make this vacation happen for us. He also provided us with information he has gathered about the resort and the Island over the last 17 years he and his family have been vacationing there. We had such a great time. We went fishing and caught 60 lbs of Black fin Tuna. It was so good. The Deckhand cut one up on the way back to the resort and we had sushi on the boat. We took the ferry over to St. John and snorkeled Trunk Bay which was rated one of the top beaches in the world. We took a boat over to Virgin Gorda and toured these huge rock formations called the Baths. We went too Cook island with a population of only 35 residences and had a great lunch. We snorkeled the caves of Norman Island where pirates hid their treasure. There is so much to do around the Islands and on the Island. We took a water Taxi over to Hassel Island where we rented a golf cart to tour the island. We visited the old WW2 Artillery Bunker which was very interesting and has great views. Then we Golf carted down to a beautiful Bay and ate a great meal at an open air beach restaurant and swam in the bay with the kids all afternoon. The Ritz Carlton Club on St Thomas is an ideal vacation for Families because it is located so close to all of the activities and has seperate bedrooms for everyone and a kitchen. We ate several meals in the residence. Their is a grocery store 5 minutes from the resort with everything a mainland store would have. We had maid service every day. They changed our linens mid week and we had turn down service every night. We loved our Housekeeper. She became part of the Family by weeks end. To sum it all up. The owner was great to work with. St Thomas is a great vacation destination with many activities to do and incredible beaches if you just want to relax. The Ritz Carlton Club is the most luxurious accommodation on the island. I couldn't think of a better place to Stay on St. Thomas. We will be back again."
