  • Another beautiful stay at Crystal Cove

"Thank you again for another fantastic stay at your beautiful condo at Crystal Cove. After a 10 day sail trip we were very happy to have long showers, a big comfy bed and air conditioning! Your condo is even better than pictured and the accessibility to the most beautiful beach and bay on the island is fantastic. Everything is very clean and well maintained. It feels like you are staying at a relatives home. Norma leaves basics/staples in the cabinets and refrigerator which is a nice touch. We have no need to leave the property once we arrive and are content to make our own meals in a kitchen that has everything you need. We love to take a cooler to the beach to waste away the day gazing out at St. John and the most beautiful blue water you have ever seen. The snorkeling in the bay this year was fantastic with many large turtles and rays seen. We hope to return in 2 years to again enjoy your fabulous accommodations."

  • Wonderful Saphire Beach Condo

"The condo was in very good condition, right on the beach, on second floor, but only 6 steps up with a wonderful view of St John and it's only 5 minutes away from the town of Red Hook. The beach is good for swimming and great for snorkeling, saw many different types of fish, small squid and turtles eating in the sea grass just off shore."

  • another fabulous month in paradise

"The Hideaway made my month in St. Thomas this year even more memorable. It's exactly as you see it, and what you can't see are the stars at night, the sunsets, the view from bed across the deck out to the Caribbean. And the quiet, the quiet nights (versus in town at Red Hook!). Just above Secret Harbour, good for a walk down and a swim every afternoon. Jan is a gracious hostess and will help in any way she can if you have any problems or questions. Or join her, she has a busy life, always up to something exciting, and enjoys company. She is always available of you need something. Property location is ideal, near Red Hook and the ferries to St. John and the BVI, restaurants and etc. Hated to leave. Already planning the next escape. I recommend a car on St. Thomas but actually you could do without at the Hideaway. Red Hook and Secret Harbour are close enough to be walkable even given the hills and the road widths. Just be prepared to step off into the bushes! Try the night kayaking at Marriott Frenchman's Cove (you would need a car) or new this year, at St. John Cruz Bay. Fish Tails in Red Hook always good too. Thanks again, Jan!"

  • Perfect accommodations

"This is a great studio unit. The bathroom renovation is outstanding. Wall to wall and floor to ceiling window overlooking the Marina and beautiful ocean. The owner, Tom, was a pleasure to deal with. He made us feel very easy and good about the booking from our first interest in the condo. Everything as he describes and the pictures are 100% accurate. We found it very easy to get around without a car as the entrance to the Condo property is a stop for the local open air Safari Taxi, which costs $1 to go Red Hook or Tutu, and $2 to go into Charlotte Amaile. The two sets of snorkel gear provided are good quality, just like everything else in the unit. We highly recommend this unit, if you are wanting something more then just a hotel room. Thank you Tom for the two phone calls to ensure all was going well and that there was nothing more that we needed."

East End Travel Tips

Situated just east of Puerto Rico, the small Caribbean Island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands is known for its beautiful beaches, shopping and dining. The quieter East End area makes a pleasant contrast with the busy capital and port of Charlotte Amalie. The quiet town of Red Hook with its red-tiled homes overlooking Pillsbury Sound has a relaxed atmosphere, uncrowded beaches and spectacular dive sites. Along the streets of this charming town, the Havensight Mall offers great Caribbean wares at duty-free prices and there is a surprisingly vibrant nightlife after dark. Red Hook lodging is a great place to find a cold drink, casual dining and party music.

Enjoy Staying at East End St. Thomas Vacation Rentals

Choose a small private villa or share the cost with family and friends and book one of the larger villas, often with their own swimming pool, terrace or gardens. The charming East End town of Red Hook has plenty of supermarkets to stock up on food and drink. There are also many local restaurants for those who do not want to cook. East End vacation rentals are the perfect ways to experience the more intimate side of Caribbean living.
