  • Love this place!

"Right on the beach and such a nice peaceful spot. We loved this room and the fact that we could walk right out on the beach to swim or just sit on the back patio and watch the day go by. This was our first time to visit St Thomas and we will definitely stay here again. We shopped at nearby Food Center and the kitchen was stocked with what we needed. The bed was very comfortable. Freshwater pool just steps away."

  • A dream come true!!

"My husband and I celebrated our 35th 'coral' anniversary in St Thomas. I reviewed several different condos online but kept coming back to Luna Bella! Sue has videos posted online and I watched them over and over dreaming of the day I would be there in person so when I actually walked down the steps into Luna Bella it was so surreal! It was definitely a dream come true to be there!! I have not seen videos posted on any of the other condos I inquired about. The video was an absolute plus!! Our flight had gotten in late so all we could see when we arrived in the dark was lights on the hillside. I anticipated the arrival of daylight and the opening of the condo drapes to see the glorious view as if I was waiting for Christmas morning. It was breathtaking! The toaster was not working but they promptly replaced it the same day with a brand new one which by the way now matches the coffee maker and blender. One reason I chose Luna Bella was because the bedroom is actually separated by louvered doors. Most of the other condos the bedroom was either part of the living room or it was only separated by a curtain. For our anniversary we spent thurs at Coral World park which is just around the bend. We purchased tickets in advance. When I inquired on which day would be best to go they suggested thurs because the cruise ships would not be in (so not as many tourists). That was a good choice because we went to Charlotte Amalie on Wed when the cruise ships were there. That was amazing seeing two huge ships in the harbor. I've never experienced that before. We purchased tickets from coral world for the butterfly garden which come to find out is actually in Charlotte Amalie. That was so fun having butterflies sitting on your shoulder and the flowers were beautiful! Coral world was a wonderful experience. We got to interact with a sea lion (extra charge), feed and pet sting rays, view the magnificent ocean life from under the sea without getting wet! The iguanas everywhere were delightful (: we got to feed them lettuce at the end of the day. The condo provided free scuba gear. We were so busy we didn't use it until 2 days before we left. For beginners such as us Sugar Beach at the bottom of the hill was perfect! Who would've thought we would see amazing purple and yellow fish about 10 feet from shore. From the beach you just see a rock sticking up out of the water but put your mask on and there is another whole amazing world! Luna Bella we miss you! Thank you Sue!"

  • Great vacation, great resort, great owner

"Many thanks to Sharon and her family for shaing this great property with us. The reservation process was easy and Sharon was accessible via email to answer any questions I had leading up to our stay. We stayed at the resort from 7/12/14 - 7/19/14 -- the facility and setting are both absolutely beautiful. This is a truly execptional resort and the units are spacious and very nicely appointed. Parking was fairly easy for our rental car. The pools are large and not freezing cold (like many in the Caribbean), the one by the destination club runs from 3-5ft deep while the one by the hotel starts at about 1ft and gets to 5ft deep, so both were good for our 4yo. There are also a handful of kiddie pools and an adults only pool on the property. The restaurants on the property are good but pricey. We had a few good dinners in nearby Red Hook and used the kitchen in the unit extensively for breakfast and lunch. Watersports are available at the hotel for a reasonable fee. It was a great way to sample a wide range of activites (snorkel, paddle board, hobie cat, peddle boat, wind surfing, kayaking). The fitness center would qualify as a very nice hotel gym and had a good selection of cardio and weight equipment. It was just an overall great experience."

  • Perfect Vaca Location

"Just returned from an incredibly beautiful and relaxing week in St. Thomas. Our stay at this Point Pleasant condo was perfect for the 4 of us, although the unit could accommodate more than 4. This unit has a spectacular view of St. T and you can see St. John and other islands as well. While there are not many new (if any) condos that we saw in St. T, the owners of this unit have kept it up very well. It was clean and comfortable with all that we needed to enjoy the week away. Point Pleasant does not have too much commercial development around it, so offers a bit more seclusion and privacy. It is a convenient drive to Red Hook where there are several restaurants. That is also the area where many day-sails launch, so again an easy drive. While at the condo, we spent most of our time on the balcony enjoying the view. The condo is up rather high within the complex, which provides the awesome scenery, but the walk down to the Pt Plst beach was more exercise than we were looking for, so we opted to take the car and visit some of the incredible beaches that are short drives from the condo. A car is fairly essential in order to maximize your experience. Our two favorite beaches were Megan's Bay and Lindquist (which you can see from the condo). The water is incredibly clear and the beaches were not crowded, a perfect combo from our perspective. There is also a pool that is a two minute walk from the condo. We used that pool in the morning and went to the beaches after lunch. We will definitely go back to this location again and recommend it. The fact that the condo owners also support our military through a program called Wish For Our Heroes was an added bonus and another reason we would go back to this particular unit. While we have been fortunate enough to enjoy some vacations over the years at some beautiful locations, we concluded that this week was absolutely one of our best ever."

East End Travel Tips

Situated just east of Puerto Rico, the small Caribbean Island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands is known for its beautiful beaches, shopping and dining. The quieter East End area makes a pleasant contrast with the busy capital and port of Charlotte Amalie. The quiet town of Red Hook with its red-tiled homes overlooking Pillsbury Sound has a relaxed atmosphere, uncrowded beaches and spectacular dive sites. Along the streets of this charming town, the Havensight Mall offers great Caribbean wares at duty-free prices and there is a surprisingly vibrant nightlife after dark. Red Hook lodging is a great place to find a cold drink, casual dining and party music.
