  • Such an amazing view!

"My husband and I traveled to St. Thomas to attend a wedding and rented Treetops with another couple for 5 nights. We have stayed at Sapphire once before, but we usually stay in St. John. We chose Treetops this time due to proximity to the wedding (Red Hook), but also the privacy of the North Shore. The road to the villa was tricky (as expected), but not too bad with a Jeep and an experienced USVI driver. We were very impressed with the villa... spectacular views and it was very well-equipped for all of our needs. In the past, we have found that we usually wanted AC at all the places we've stayed, but not so at Treetops. The "tradewinds" that we had never experienced before at other villas are actually one of the best features at Treetops. We didn't need AC at all and loved the open feel of the main level with all the screen doors letting the breeze blow through. We enjoyed total privacy and didn't hear much noise from neighbors or nearby roads... we did hear lots of roosters every morning though. It was fabulous to hang out by the pool and talk or just read a book and enjoy the surrounding beauty. The kitchen was well-stocked with breakfast foods and condiments, more so than any other place that we've stayed, and it was a very nice touch. We stopped at Pueblo on the way there to get bottled water, etc, but we could have easily skipped the shopping on the first day thanks to the property manager's foresight. There were nice beach chairs available for our use as well as some snorkeling equipment that we could borrow. The only advice I would have to other visitors is to be aware that there is an outdoor staircase to the lower bedroom. This was perfect for 2 couples and gave us more privacy, but if you are traveling with children like we usually do, you might want an interior staircase to the second bedroom."

  • Absolutely Amazing!!

"Where to start? We needed a place to unplug and unwind and this was perfect! The view was amazing, like postcard amazing. The beach was rocky and rough and awesome for shell hunting. The path over to Neltjeburg Bay was AMAZING!!!! We used to live on island and I thought you had to go to St. John to see views like that while hiking, here it's in your own backyard. The best restaraunt on island (Thirteen) is right up the hill. We ate there once and then ordered a carryout our last night. The condo had everything you could need/want and then some. Very well stocked. The owner was prompt and went above and beyond. Was even willng to try to find us a car to borrow while there when our rental fell through. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A CAR. Preferably an SUV. Driving back and forth to different places we never took that same way twice (even when we tried:-)) and it was a great way to see ALL of the island. If you are wanted a base to island hop or explore everyday this is probably not the place for you. It's 45\60 minutes from Red Hook and 30 minutes to Charlotte Amalie. However if you are on vacation to sit, relax and take in postcard views of beach, palm trees and blue oceans, explore trails and private beaches, listen to waves hitting the shore lulling you to sleep, and not have to worry about if you left something at home, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!! We have a 3 and 5 year old and I would have felt totally comfortable bringing them. The local kids were always out playing. I think kids would have a blast here. The locals were great. Friendly and willing to answer any questions but never once bothered us. We never even used to pool. Wifi worked great when we needed it."

  • Paradise! Absolutely Beautiful!

"This is the perfect little piece of paradise and Jen and Chris have adorned the Villa with beautiful accents in every corner. This VERY secluded, private villa has views that are breathtaking, an expansive deck, a Jacuzzi that is a dream and lovely little touches that make you feel like you are staying at a friends home – not a rental. And these friends have exquisite taste – the decorating is charming and whimsical with an elegant flair. We spent a lot of time outside on the VERY PRIVATE deck enjoying the sun, birds, tropical breezes and amazing views. The deck is also beautiful at night; we prepared dinner on the large grill and ate outside in the evenings. But we also had an amazing dinner out at the Old Stone Farmhouse – AMAZING truly gourmet fare in a setting that is just exquisite. We also went to Mafolie for dinner one night– which had incredible views, great service and a real island feel. Both were just a short drive from the Villa. The bedroom is a great size with plenty of space for storing your clothes and getting dressed. It is painted in a lovely shade of pale blue and the four-poster bed is adorned with organza netting and seashells – it is absolutely angelic. Everything about the Villa – is just a little extra special; the blue and cream bird themed tiled bath, the rustic but elegant furniture, little treasures of eclectic art in every nook – just gorgeous! All of the images posted of the Villa are accurate – but I will say in person it is even more beautiful. It is comfortable, well equipped, roomy and romantic for two and just perfect!"

  • Seniors Spring Break Trip with an Amazing SUNSET VIEW

"Where do you take 8 Senior Girls (with 22 other family members) for an unforgettable Spring Break trip? Magen's Bay, St. Thomas of course! When you first arrive at Coral Gardens after a semi-harrowing trip from the airport via the narrow roads of St. Thomas, you are struck by the sheer size of this property. There are levels after levels, bedrooms after bedrooms, and kitchens and refrigerators and pools and a private beach. However, the most amazing feature is something that gets discovered as the sun begins to set on the first night of your stay...four levels of balconies facing the West! There are multiple perfect spots to enjoy the sparkling water as the light begins to fade. A true highlight of the Coral Gardens experience. Werner and his crew provided some phenomenal meals and a fantastic trip to the BVI. Take advantage of those opportunities if you can! (The welcome BBQ and a meal with the private chef that could work ANYWHERE if he and his assistant didn't love making fantastic meals for groups like ours!) Use Werner's recommendations on local restaurants, rental cars, excursions, beaches, etc...I think he knows everyone and everyplace on the island. Take a ride on TRIPLE SMOOTH (his boat) to anywhere he'll take you. Great experience and a great ride. Order pizza from a boat at Christmas Cove! A Spring Break trip that will never be forgotten...thanks to Coral Gardens and Werner!"
