  • Paradise Found!

"Views were stunningly beautiful. Can't say enough about the views, they almost do not seem real. Pool was a nice plus after a long day of exploring! My family used the pool quite a lot and really enjoyed it. The house is super cute and nicely decorated with comfortable furniture and stocked with everything you could need or want. The owner and caretaker (Cheryl and Robin) were super responsive and provided sufficient information about the house and things to do on the islands. The location is great and accessible to all areas of the island. Very safe and nice neighborhood. We appreciated Robin meeting us at the airport and guiding us to the house and going over everything! As they say in the description though, this house does not have central air and it does get very hot/humid and somewhat uncomfortable in the main living areas. However, the bedrooms are very comfortable and cool as there are AC units in those. As for St. Thomas itself, we ate at Northside Bistro, Mahogany Grille, Amalia Cafe, Glady's, Sibs, and Island Time Pub. Northside Bistro is hands down the best food I have ever eaten...anywhere. It has a beautiful view, outstanding service, and tasty food! Keep in mind, that is does not have AC, but is a screened in porch and quite nice at night with the breezes. Mahogany Grille is the best for steaks and a cozy atmosphere. Glady's is the best spot for lunch downtown!! Amazing food and service. Amalia Cafe was also very nice, but we preferred Glady's. Sibs was more a bar atmosphere, and I highly do not recommend for lunch or dinner. Tables were dirty and there were cats everywhere. But if you want a beer, sure. Plus it's close to the house. Island Time Pub in the Red Hook area has the best pizza! Definitely stop by Udder Delight on the way to Magen's Bay for some delicious milkshakes. Beaches we visited that were all great were Magen's Bay, Sapphire Beach, Coki Beach. I don't know how you could go wrong with any of the beaches on either island, though. We visited St. John's for one day, and wish we spent more time there. Super beautiful, calm, and very clean island. We shopped at Mongoose Junction, which is in my opinion the best shopping area in general. Hawksnest Beach, Cinnamon and Maho were all very nice beaches on St. John. I hear Coral Bay is the best spot for snorkeling, so we'll have to try that next time. All in all, this was top 3 best vacations we have ever had and would highly recommend the islands and staying at High Blue Heaven."

  • Simply Amazing

"This villa is by far the most beautiful place on the island. We have been to the Virgin Islands several times, but never, ever stayed in such luxury. The master bath is to die for! I wanted to bring it home to my house! The privacy is fantastic and the décor is elegant. So much care has gone into everything. I am a clean freak and usually think the island houses are a bit dirty---but not this one!!! The cleaning crew treats the house as though it is their own and the villa manager is just about the sweetest person on earth, SO helpful. The views are just amazing. You could sit all day by the pool and never get bored because it is just so gorgeous. I hate to write such positive reviews because too many people will want to stay here and we may not be able to get in when we want to come back!"

"We loved this condo and would definitely stay here again. Seeing the water and islands from the kitchen while fixing meals brought immense pleasure. Kitchen itself was well-stocked with detergents, condiments, oils, etc. Since we did a lot of cooking, we were saved some expenses. Clean, comfortable and attractive furnishings added to our pleasure. Rooms were large so at no time did the 4 of us feel crowded. The biggest plus was the light , airy feeling with a view that constantly fed the soul. Beach towels were appreciated as well as laundry detergent, soaps, and lotions. Improvements might be improved mattress in second bedroom with better wardrobe in that room. All in all, we found Trade Winds Terrace to be a delightful experience which we would like to repeat."

  • What a view, what an island!

"We just spent 5 unbelievable days and nights in the Million Dollar View apartment and wanted to say that everything exceeded our expectation. Robert and Diane are the best hosts you can ask for and it was a great pleasure to meet and spend a little bit of time with them. Million Dollar View is not an exaggeration. We arrived at night and even with just the moon light the view was unbelievable. Words and photographs can not describe the view at sunset and sunrise. You have to see it for yourself! Even if I wanted to, I could not find a single bad thing to say about our vacation, the apartment and islands. Couple of thoughts: get a car. Everything is very close on St Thomas, but you would not want to walk -- roads are narrow and terrain is fairly rugged. Get a car with hardtop and I would recommend 4x4 if you are there during the rainy season -- roads are steep and can get interesting when the weather hits. Nothing dangerous, just feels more comfortable when you are in a solid car. Definitely consider going to St. John. There are car barges leaving every hour or so. Not cheap, but well worth it! Fantastic beaches, nature and St. John has a very different look and feel from St. Thomas, you'd want to see both!. Again, just wanted to say that if you are looking for a super clean, quiet place with one of the most amazing views for two (or a single person), seriously consider Robert and Diane's place, you will not regret it. Do read other reviews, they give you a few pointers and will make your decision easier!"
