  • Amazing visit at Million Dollar View!

"We spent 5 amazing nights at this apartment and loved every second! The view really is amazing at any point of the day. Diane and Robert have stocked the apartment with everything that you could possibly need, most importantly a cooler/ice packs, beach chairs, snorkel gear, and beach towels. Definitely make use of those when visiting all the gorgeous beaches on the island! The wifi availability is very helpful, especially if you do not have phone service on the island. The tree frog sounds are incredible at night and are very conducive to a good night's rest.. we missed them at home! The full size kitchen makes it easy to make quick snacks or meals to take with on your outings or enjoy on the beautiful deck. From the airport, you can stop at the Pueblo grocery store on the way - but we also found a huge Walgreens reasonably close to the apt. that had everything you could want at reasonable prices for the island ($$). It is very necessary to have a car on the island, as everything is reasonably close but on winding narrow roads. At first, the roads/driving/parking are intimidating but it gets easier as you get the hang of the island maps. Magen's Bay (seen from the deck) is less than 10 mins away and is certainly worth the admittance fee (stop at Cup&Cork for a snack on the way and Udder Delight for a milkshake on the way back!!). We also enjoyed Sapphire Beach and Smith Bay - about 15-20 mins away. Make sure to make a trip to St. John using either the car barge or regular ferry, the beaches and snorkeling are beautiful with hiking opportunities as well. Upon arriving at the apartment, take the time to read the guest book - there are TONS of helpful hints in there! Robert and Diane are extremely friendly and helpful with any questions you may have or suggestions on places to see/eat. There are several nice restaurants less than 5 mins away from this location. Book this beautiful place!! Thank you for a great stay, we would return in a heart beat!"

  • Simply Amazing

"This villa is by far the most beautiful place on the island. We have been to the Virgin Islands several times, but never, ever stayed in such luxury. The master bath is to die for! I wanted to bring it home to my house! The privacy is fantastic and the décor is elegant. So much care has gone into everything. I am a clean freak and usually think the island houses are a bit dirty---but not this one!!! The cleaning crew treats the house as though it is their own and the villa manager is just about the sweetest person on earth, SO helpful. The views are just amazing. You could sit all day by the pool and never get bored because it is just so gorgeous. I hate to write such positive reviews because too many people will want to stay here and we may not be able to get in when we want to come back!"

  • This is the place to stay in St. Thomas

"I really can't imagine staying anywhere else in STT. Gypsea is a beautiful, secluded private residence with great views. The roads are rough, but it is not a problem if you drive slowly and stay on the left. We had a small SUV, which worked just fine, but it wasn't a necessity. Gypsea is no more than 20 minutes from just about anything you want to see, except for Red Hook which is a bit farther. Our favorite place to go is Hull Bay for swimming and lunch at the beach bar. We would also recommend Tickles and Gladys' for lunch."

  • Your search ends here! This house is amazing.

"My family of four (including 13- and 9-year olds) enjoyed a blissful week-long stay at Villa Papillon. Hosts Linda and Mike are very friendly and informative, and happy to help with advice and recommendations. They are close by, so you don't have to worry about inattentive or nonexistent homeowners not returning phone calls. But they will offer you your privacy. Linda cheerfully met us at a supermarket after we stocked up on supplies, and drove us through the twists and turns (and inclines!) of the roads on the mountains of St. Thomas. The gorgeous home is located in a gated community in Peterborg, which is on the peninsula that encloses Magen's Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world (5 minutes away - no exaggeration). She and Mike have maintained the property nicely: the beauty of the views can not be overstated. The home is just like the pictures, perhaps even more beautiful because you cannot appreciate the comfortable layout in the photos. The home is remote and peaceful, and we didn't hear or even see neighbors unless we took out the binoculars. We grilled every day while still being able to be together in the pool/hot tub area on deck. We found a well-stocked kitchen with top of the line appliances. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms, though a bit dated, were clean and very functional with ample storage. The home is decorated like a real home, not like a soulless rental. We went to Magen's Bay almost every day (we swam with a giant turtle there), but also made trips to Sapphire and Coki bays for better snorkeling. Be aware: parking is sketchy at Coki, and the surrounding areas are sort of rundown. But fish and coral are plentiful. When we return to USVI, we will stay here again. We didn't even have to worry about mosquitos- the gentle breezes keep them away. Thanks LInda and Mike for a wonderful week!"
