  • Everything you Expected

"The home, the island, and people were absolutely fantastic. We planned our trip for almost two years. We were worried about our expectations after 10 hours in the air. When we arrived all of our wonderful exceptions where confirmed. The home is beautiful, clean and close to EVERYTHING (with a car). This place is exactly as advertised! As soon as your walk through the door; you feel at home."

  • Beautiful, Quiet and Amazing!

"Amazing condo right next to Magens Bay. It was the perfect vacation for me and my two brothers. The water in the bay is crystal clear and from our balcony we could see the sea turtles swimming in the bay. You can run or walk to Magens Beach and get paddle boards and kayaks. It is also a short distance to Udder Delight which has the best milkshakes you will ever have. My brother had one on our third day there and got one everyday until we left seven days later. We rented a car because the villa has its own parking. Navigating around the island is really easy and there are a lot of activities you can do at other beaches without having to stay in a busy hotel. That was one of the best things about the villa, you were away from everything else and could enjoy a quiet beautiful day on your own beach if you wanted to. Michelle, the housekeeper picked us up at the airport and took us to a grocery store to stock up on food. There is a grill on the balcony where we cooked our food almost every night and ate outside. Michelle also came and cleaned the house during the week. There was a washer/dryer below the condo which was really convenient. The inside of the condo is beautiful and the pictures on the site don’t really do it justice. There were plenty of beach towels and sunscreen in the condo as well. The kitchen has all the necessary cooking items/dinnerware. The condo was away from I would definitely stay here again."

  • We felt like genuine St. Thomians with our own home on the mountain and a truly fabulous view.

"My husband and I loved our time at Whispering Palms Cottage. We felt like genuine St. Thomians with our own home on the mountain and a truly fabulous view. The wonderful thing about staying at the Cottage on the hills of the North Side is that you are on your own, but you have competent and trustworthy support and guidance nearby from the cottage owners Joanne and Ken. Staying at the Cottage felt safe, private and relaxing and we enjoyed having the comforts of home such as a comfortable and clean bed, fresh linens, clean bathroom and a well appointed clean kitchen. We felt the furnishings were of nice quality and the seating provided and lighting were very nicely placed both indoors and out. Because we rented a Jeep from Discount Car Rental we had the freedom to come and go as we pleased and experience what it was like to actually live and drive on island. We drove all over exploring the island to see what there was to see, such as glorious ocean vistas, residences both extravagant and simple and along the way stopped to visit all the must-see tourist destinations and beaches. We grocery shopped, cooked and had a great home base to head out on our daily adventures from. Top tips for a good time: When Joanne makes a recommendation such as the eating at Sibs on The Mountain, she's speaking with years of experience, so take her good advice. We suggest you definitely pack, and carry with you at all times, sunscreen and bug spray, stay hydrated and remember to always be polite to strangers. Remember to always drive on the left (even when you’re pulling into a parking lot) and adopt the courteous local habit of pausing to letting people into traffic. When you take the car ferry to/from St. John (which is an absolute must do because it’s so great over there) inquire about the schedule for the day, and don’t assume you can catch the last ferry of the day in the last 15 minutes prior to departure to head back to St. Thomas because you might not get a spot and you will be stranded on St. John for the night and miss out on sleeping in your own bed (at the Cottage). Also you don’t have to use the same ferry company over and back, but you will spend more for 2 one way tickets rather than 1 round trip. Overall, relax and have fun on your vacation, you earned it!"

  • What an AMAZING place to stay in St. Thomas!

"I had SUCH a positive experience during my recent stay here! It was my first time on the islands and this place was the PERFECT place to stay. The owners are such genuinely kind people and were incredibly helpful with providing information on beautiful nearby beaches, fun local attractions, and where to find basically anything else we were looking for! We were also pleasantly surprised to find that many of the essentials that can easily be forgotten when packing (like clean beach towels!) were already provided in the apartment closets. It's location is truly unique in that its nestled among nature, but is still only a short drive from Magen's Bay, shopping centers, and other fun activities that the island has to offer. Overall, this place is truly a GEM in Paradise and I highly recommend it!"
