  • Seniors Spring Break Trip with an Amazing SUNSET VIEW

"Where do you take 8 Senior Girls (with 22 other family members) for an unforgettable Spring Break trip? Magen's Bay, St. Thomas of course! When you first arrive at Coral Gardens after a semi-harrowing trip from the airport via the narrow roads of St. Thomas, you are struck by the sheer size of this property. There are levels after levels, bedrooms after bedrooms, and kitchens and refrigerators and pools and a private beach. However, the most amazing feature is something that gets discovered as the sun begins to set on the first night of your stay...four levels of balconies facing the West! There are multiple perfect spots to enjoy the sparkling water as the light begins to fade. A true highlight of the Coral Gardens experience. Werner and his crew provided some phenomenal meals and a fantastic trip to the BVI. Take advantage of those opportunities if you can! (The welcome BBQ and a meal with the private chef that could work ANYWHERE if he and his assistant didn't love making fantastic meals for groups like ours!) Use Werner's recommendations on local restaurants, rental cars, excursions, beaches, etc...I think he knows everyone and everyplace on the island. Take a ride on TRIPLE SMOOTH (his boat) to anywhere he'll take you. Great experience and a great ride. Order pizza from a boat at Christmas Cove! A Spring Break trip that will never be forgotten...thanks to Coral Gardens and Werner!"

"We very much enjoyed our stay in the villa. It was clean and spacious, just as advertised. The view was breathtaking, pictures do not do it justice. Should we plan another family vacation, without question we would return to the villa."

"To say this place was beautiful is an understatement. Words do not do enough to capture the beauty of Villa Eau Claire. We arrived in the early afternoon and were greeted at the airport by the incredibly warm and helpful Julia. She took us to the supermarket and then we traversed the hilly roads to arrive at our condo. The views are amazing. We swam daily with sea turtles right in the pocket beach on the premise. We walked down to the big beach and enjoyed some pizza and rum punch and we spent the days snorkeling and swimming around the bay. This location was perfect for our two teenagers 15 and 17 and our friends that joined us in the studio apartment below. The condo was open, breezy and had everything we needed. The studio can get a little stuffy when it's quite warm, but the air conditioner cools it down quickly. My husband developed a very serious tooth infection while on vacation and Annika the owner not only recommended a dentist, but also allowed us a later than usual checkout so he could rest before flying home. The only downside we experienced is no broom in the main condo (at least not one we could locate), but the people next to use let us borrow their broom. Oh and driving. Driving is a risky endeavor on the island, but one we adjusted to. We cannot wait to return to this little slice of heaven on earth!"

  • Unique Island Living

"We stayed here during Christmas week 2014. An escort met us at the airport at the appointed time and guided us to the villa. Peterborg is a very nice quiet area. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and out to the Point. What a beautiful view! The villa is about 20 minutes from Red Hook. Once we got use to driving island style it wasn't bad. The roads are steep and the driveway does require a two point turn but the rental minivan got the job done. The villa is as pictured. It was pleasant to leave the screen doors open and listen to the water. We relaxed in the hammock each day. It was fun to watch the hummingbirds and butterflies flutter in the bushes. We did not cook in the villa but the kitchen seemed to be well stocked. We did use the snorkel equipment. It was nice to not have to rent gear for the week. Having beach towels and a cooler provided were also appreciated. The sun deck was most pleasant with an unobstructed view of the Bay. The villa is stocked with a few board games, DVDs, lots of books and CDs. As another reviewer mentioned, there is another building that is a part of the complex but not included in the rental. This unit does have a view of the rental's outdoor deck and pool area. It was empty during our stay. If renting again, I would inquire if this building would be occupied. The owner responded to email and phone calls quickly and answered all our questions. There are two reasons I did not rate the property five stars. The lower bedroom smelled a bit musty. There was a dehumidifier in the room but it was broken. Running the AC helped. Also, there are motion sensor lights on the lower level that did not always operate. It was difficult to navigate the steps in the dark. Overall, this villa is a great value. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again."
