  • Away from the cold

"My husband and I just returned from a wonderful trip. The villa gypsea was the perfect place for us. We wanted to be away from it all and have our own place to relax when we returned from the beach. The house is secluded, and had all the things you would need away from home. My husband usually doesn't sleep well while on vacation but he had no problem here. We really enjoyed the beautiful ocean views. The property owners really went out of their way to make the home comfortable, clean and private. Our stay was a quick one but well worth it. A rental car is a must."

  • COMFORT AND VIEW

"We loved this condo and would definitely stay here again. Seeing the water and islands from the kitchen while fixing meals brought immense pleasure. Kitchen itself was well-stocked with detergents, condiments, oils, etc. Since we did a lot of cooking, we were saved some expenses. Clean, comfortable and attractive furnishings added to our pleasure. Rooms were large so at no time did the 4 of us feel crowded. The biggest plus was the light , airy feeling with a view that constantly fed the soul. Beach towels were appreciated as well as laundry detergent, soaps, and lotions. Improvements might be improved mattress in second bedroom with better wardrobe in that room. All in all, we found Trade Winds Terrace to be a delightful experience which we would like to repeat."

  • Wonderful Place - Best Hosts Ever!

"We just stayed for 12 days at this fabulous mountain top getaway. Every word in the description of the property is exactly what you get; - the bonus is, you get the sweetest hosts you will ever meet! Cindie picked me up at the airport after a glitch with the rental car and I got an insiders' insight of life on the island. She drove me to the grocery store so I could get more groceries and things I would need until my husband arrived the next evening! How many owners would go out of their way to help you like that? It made me feel very cared for and special! I think it was the attention to detail that impressed me the most. Whenever we had questions or needed help - they responded immediately. I loved that they took care of breakfast for us the first morning! How thoughtful! After a day of enjoying the beautiful beaches, sailing, snorkeling or shopping it was a quiet place to come back to and unwind. I enjoyed watching the hummingbirds that visited frequently. -The drive up is a little intimidating at first, but after a few days my husband was driving those hills like a pro! (Cindie gives very detailed directions that are extremely helpful). -The beaches we visited were all beautiful! -If you want a great snorkeling/sailing adventure - Use Island Girl Adventures, Captain Mike was wonderful! -Fish Tails in Red Hook was one of our favorite restaurants...best Key Lime Pie ever!"

  • The third visit was as good as the first.

"This is our third stay with Joe at Hidden Cove. It's a little piece of heaven. And the views, the sound of the waves hitting the shore below and the privacy never fail to put us on island time. There is a beach that's just down the hill but we prefer driving over to the world renowned Magen's Bay beach. Joe provides snorkel equipment, beach towels, chairs and a cooler for guests. So, there's no need to rent anything and it's easy with this gear to head to less populated areas of the beach. A car is a necessity but there are a number of excellent restaurants nearby. The Northside Bistro has a "to die for" dessert called the chocolate bomb. Try it, you won't be disappointed. And, if you rent from Joe, ask him to tell you some of his best jokes. We loved the one avout the talking dog."
