"I recently returned from a 12 night stay in this unit and I loved it! The condo is clean and spacious (just me so I had plenty of room...but definately room for 4) with an absolutely gorgeous view. This condo is in a perfect spot within the Sapphire Village Condominiums with a very short walk to the beach or to the pool/restaurant. Also the kitchen is equiped with every pot, pan, utensil, appliance needed and a full size refrigerator. I loved sitting on the balcony each morning with tea and toast while I enjoyed a lovely ocean breeze. Heaven! Also everyone is very friendly at the condos. There are snow birds, and vacationers and traveling nurses and always someone to talk to. And you can get free wi-fi right outside the Office 24/7. Sapphire Beach is lovely and I so appreciated that the owners of this unit provided beach chairs (otherwise I think they were $7 @ day). This beautiful beach has some trees for shade, snorkeling, volleyball court, bocci court, and other water sports. Food is not a problem at the beach as some St Thomas ladies had a grill area set up and made delicious grilled chicken sandwiches (among other things), plus people from the poolside restaurant at the condominiums came around to take orders as did someone from a pizza place in Red Hook. Or within 2 mins you could be back at the condo and make a little lunch! I did not rent a car but found it easy to catch the $1.00 safari to Red Hook to go to restaurants, buy food at the Market, or take the ferry to St John's ($12 RT) which I did twice. Also I took the safari to Charlotte Amalie for $2.00! You can also take a day trip on boat that is right at the Marina in front of the condos. I highly recommend renting this property if you want to vacation in St Thomas: beach, pools, spectacular views, boating, restaurants, easy transportation.... gorgeous weather, island breezes... Paradise!"Guest: Sandy Date of Stay: January 2012 Review Submitted: February 23, 2012View listing
"Very nice and clean unit. This unit was the most expensive one we found at Cowpet but my wife loved that the master bath had 2 sinks and updated ceramic tile floor & shower. Great snorkeling right out the door. Very nice beach. Close to St John ( our favorite island)-Miss Lucy's Restaurant at Coral Bay is always good. Good restaurant right at the beach and snack bar too. Latitude 18 was fun with music every night and good food. Must have a car as condo is far from airport and walking even nearby is very dangerous. We will rent at Cowpet again. This was our 6th time on St Thomas and 5th time staying at Cowpet. Thanks Chris and Kelly"Guest: Chris W. Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 19, 2014View listing
"This was our first time renting on VRBO. I was hesitant at first, but once we got to the Sayers' rental home it blew away all of our nervousness and exceeded all the expectations we had. We were a group of 6 adults and our 8 month old baby. The set up could not have been more perfect as my wife and I stayed with the baby in the guest house which kept things quiet for our other family traveling with us. Steve even had a stroller, pack n play, and high chair there so we didn't have to bring any of that with us ( a very pleasant surprise)!! Jeana met us at the airport and was so helpful all week long with everything such as directions and where to eat. The views at this villa are surreal. .. beyond words. This home was designed with a great attention to detail, kept up very well, and was super clean. Everything you need is there (even a wine bottle opener which we always forget). If you are thinking on staying at this property you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Steve and family for sharing your beautiful home with us, we had an amazing time there! !"Guest: Luther M. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 8, 2014View listing
"I've been trying to think about how to review this condo, and I think a list of pros and cons might be easiest: Pros: The view - amazing. From the back veranda, you could see some gorgeous water, as well as St. John (if you walked a few feet down the beach). The beach - quiet and beautiful; at times, it felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves, which was cool. Very clean and maintained. The decor - very modern, updated, trendy. The cabana bar - lordy, those women could make some rum punch. I mean, one would do ya just fine. Some were working on island time, but they made up for it with that rum pour. The critters - my hubby and I really enjoyed the iguanas and little lizards and hermit crabs, as well as some cute little leopard-print ducks. We're big animal lovers, so it was neat to see some new faces. Cons: I think that the condo itself (and its furniture and fixtures) could stand a once-over and here's why: Within an hour of arriving, I found myself locked in the bathroom. My husband used the bathroom before me and said the door didn't shut completely, so it swung open mid-stream, shall we say. Well, I'm not so brilliant, so I gave the door a firm shove when I went in (I didn't know about his door experience yet) and... it stuck. I believe the pin that goes from the knob into the door frame itself jammed up or broke completely. I had to remove the doorknob from the inside with a knife and a screwdriver that the very nice maintenance man passed me under the door. We spent the remainder of our honeymoon without a bathroom doorknob. I'll just say - it sucked. Could have been much worse, but still sucked. My hubby, who weighs all of 165 lbs, was sitting in a wooden chair on the back patio area a couple nights before we left and it actually split apart and dumped him onto the ground. It looks like it's happened before because there was already a small wooden piece of the back missing. We were able to fit the pegs back together and it was intact again, although we didn't sit in it for the remainder of our trip. Bottom line, the view and beach is fantastic but I think this place really needs some routine maintenance. As it stood, with the bathroom and the chair incident, it rates a solid 'good'. I would definitely consider returning, but suggest the owners visit first and make a few improvements."Guest: Amber P. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 8, 2014View listing
