"This was our first time in doing a VRBO. Greg was very responsive to both email and telephone. A major problem was the lack of wireless. I called Greg and told him and he had a firm come out and fix it the next day. It was fine after that. The condo was fine. It was clean and everything was functional. It was about 25 steps from the water which we snorkled in three times. We were not happy with the bed, but we have had worse in hotels. The bed was long enough but narrower than a true king. The condo is a studio with a kitchen. All appliances worked just fine and the utensils were good. All tile floor. I had problems with the lock and could not get it, but my wife got it on the first try. My glasses were stolen from the back table on our patio. The power went out once and the telephone did not work. I do not blame Greg or Aimee for that, rather it is life on the Virgin Islands. I called Greg about the power going out and it turns out that he keeps matches and a lighter and candles for that reason. In general we would have given it an A+ except for the bed."Guest: afdgf Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 4, 2014View listing
"Giving this 5 stars because I hope that is what I could have given it, but calendar had not been updated. Even though it shows available, upon requesting a rental; I was told that the villa was not being rented during September, due to repairs."Guest: Glen H. "Lee was extremely correct when she said on our last day we would not want to come home! We had an amazing vacation during the off season in St. Thomas and St. John. The condo was great! We used the pool as well as snorkeled right outside the condo! We saw big beautiful fish and coral. Redhook is so close! A 2 minute car ride to all the ferries and restaurants. We are already planning our trip back to Lee's place!"Guest: Britt and Dean Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 22, 2014View listing
"My husband and I stayed in this unit from 10/17/14 - 10/24/14 and are happy we did! If you are expecting a 5 star resort, this isn't the place for you. This condo was exactly as described - the only surprise was the view! WOW! It is breathtaking, the photos on here do not do it justice. Sitting out on your balcony watching the sunrise is a must while you are here! The bed was comfortable & it was nice to have the A/C. It was very hot & sunny while we were there so coming back to a cool room was a plus. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some meals at home. We ate breakfast every morning in the condo & used the outside grill one night to make dinner. Loved the grocery store right in Red Hook, as well as Cost-U-Less which was about 15 minutes away. There are 2 pools in the condo complex - we used both while we were there to cool off & they were both never crowded. We often had the smaller one right behind the condo to ourselves. The bar & restaurant on site were closed for the month of October, but the BBQ food truck at the entrance to the condo (Off The Grid) was delicious!! $15 for all you can eat ... we ate there twice during our stay! There was a pizza place recommended by the women who lived next door that delivered. I forget the name (maybe Senor Pizza?), but we did order from them one night - free delivery! It was decent pizza, nothing to rave about but if you don't want to go out every night, they were the only option we could find for delivery. The location of this condo is great. You are just minutes from Red Hook where we went most nights for dinner. Lots of restaurants to choose from & all of the ones we tried were delicious! We also liked that it was close to the ferry to St. John. We drove down to Sapphire Beach one day to check out the beach. The beach is beautiful & there was some good snorkeling! We forgot our snorkel stuff at home and were happy to see snorkels in the condo for use! We brought them with us to various beaches & saved money by not having to rent. I do recommend having a car to explore other beaches. We loved Coki Beach which was just a short drive from the condo. Megans Bay & Brewers Bay were also wonderful. If you are looking for a place to stay, I would recommend this unit!"Guest: Rachael D. Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 28, 2014View listing
