  • Good Rest, Good View and island life

"I highly recommend this beach side abode to a couple or person traveling to St Thomas for the first time or for the experienced traveler. It's above Secret Harbor Beach, the swimming is great, the unit is perfectly appointed and you can walk to the beach / restaurant . It's on a small hill and the sunrise / sunsets are amazing. You won't be disappointed."

  • Great condo

"My wife and I had a wonderful 35th Anniversary week in St. Thomas. The condo was ideal, right on the beach and on the first floor. The patio was fantastic, covered from the sun, a nice table and chairs, and the sound of the waves. There's a great view to St. John's and beyond. Red Hook is nearby for essentials and entertainment. All food markets are very close if you drive. We brought our own masks and snorkels and spent an afternoon checking out the reef right out the patio door. Numerous fish to see.You can rent if needed. At night we just lay back in bed and saw the twinkling lights of Cruz Bay, St. John's. Very scenic. The condo was well furnished, even a special request for a cold bottle of bubbly was waiting for our arrival, thanks Susan, my wife loved it! The unit was very clean and well maintained. A very comfy bed. The satellite tv had everything you could want, we watched the first rounds of March Madness. Unit E is ideal for those who like the ocean nearby, no trees blocking the view, and set aside from all the other units. Units A - C had the main beach out front, but the beach was much wider and at the waters edge the view was blocked by all of the trees. It's a much busier area. As far as the entire facility, there is a definite need to update the pool area and scuba/snorkel rental shack. The pool is very nice, but the pool building was roped off. Not sure if construction was due, or not. A nice on site bar/pub would have been fantastic, no need to leave. All meals were either in the condo, or in Red Hook and beyond (we had a car). I recommend renting a car if you want to see the island. We had a very nice dinner at A Room With A View at Bluebeard's Resort in town (not the one on the beach) for our special dinner. The Charlotte Amalie airport is a bit deceiving, small, and easily traveled on your inbound flight, but quite hectic on departure (8:00 a.m.). Arriving 90 minutes early, we stood in line to check bags (American Airlines), stood in line for customs, and stood in line for security. At these stops no one seemed concerned about speed. We just made the flight with minutes to spare, not sure about those arriving later than us. Our flight was not full. Advice, get there early. The car rental return was so easy, a drop box for keys. I'd recommend this unit for a beautiful vacation, quiet, scenic, yet close to the the main beach and more activity if that's your thing. The small beach out front wast perfect for us."

  • Your search ends here! This house is amazing.

"My family of four (including 13- and 9-year olds) enjoyed a blissful week-long stay at Villa Papillon. Hosts Linda and Mike are very friendly and informative, and happy to help with advice and recommendations. They are close by, so you don't have to worry about inattentive or nonexistent homeowners not returning phone calls. But they will offer you your privacy. Linda cheerfully met us at a supermarket after we stocked up on supplies, and drove us through the twists and turns (and inclines!) of the roads on the mountains of St. Thomas. The gorgeous home is located in a gated community in Peterborg, which is on the peninsula that encloses Magen's Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world (5 minutes away - no exaggeration). She and Mike have maintained the property nicely: the beauty of the views can not be overstated. The home is just like the pictures, perhaps even more beautiful because you cannot appreciate the comfortable layout in the photos. The home is remote and peaceful, and we didn't hear or even see neighbors unless we took out the binoculars. We grilled every day while still being able to be together in the pool/hot tub area on deck. We found a well-stocked kitchen with top of the line appliances. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms, though a bit dated, were clean and very functional with ample storage. The home is decorated like a real home, not like a soulless rental. We went to Magen's Bay almost every day (we swam with a giant turtle there), but also made trips to Sapphire and Coki bays for better snorkeling. Be aware: parking is sketchy at Coki, and the surrounding areas are sort of rundown. But fish and coral are plentiful. When we return to USVI, we will stay here again. We didn't even have to worry about mosquitos- the gentle breezes keep them away. Thanks LInda and Mike for a wonderful week!"

  • Great vacation, great resort, great owner

"Many thanks to Sharon and her family for shaing this great property with us. The reservation process was easy and Sharon was accessible via email to answer any questions I had leading up to our stay. We stayed at the resort from 7/12/14 - 7/19/14 -- the facility and setting are both absolutely beautiful. This is a truly execptional resort and the units are spacious and very nicely appointed. Parking was fairly easy for our rental car. The pools are large and not freezing cold (like many in the Caribbean), the one by the destination club runs from 3-5ft deep while the one by the hotel starts at about 1ft and gets to 5ft deep, so both were good for our 4yo. There are also a handful of kiddie pools and an adults only pool on the property. The restaurants on the property are good but pricey. We had a few good dinners in nearby Red Hook and used the kitchen in the unit extensively for breakfast and lunch. Watersports are available at the hotel for a reasonable fee. It was a great way to sample a wide range of activites (snorkel, paddle board, hobie cat, peddle boat, wind surfing, kayaking). The fitness center would qualify as a very nice hotel gym and had a good selection of cardio and weight equipment. It was just an overall great experience."
