"My family of four took my mother and father on a trip for my dad's 70th. We had a wonderful time and the condo was perfect for what we needed. We used the kitchen for breakfast and lunch and then ate out for dinner. It was great to have coffee already there for us. We used the snorkeling equipment often and it was so nice to have enough for all six of us. The views were gorgeous and the condo was very spacious. The owner gave us lots of great information."Guest: Jennifer Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: December 23, 2014View listing
"My family of four (including 13- and 9-year olds) enjoyed a blissful week-long stay at Villa Papillon. Hosts Linda and Mike are very friendly and informative, and happy to help with advice and recommendations. They are close by, so you don't have to worry about inattentive or nonexistent homeowners not returning phone calls. But they will offer you your privacy. Linda cheerfully met us at a supermarket after we stocked up on supplies, and drove us through the twists and turns (and inclines!) of the roads on the mountains of St. Thomas. The gorgeous home is located in a gated community in Peterborg, which is on the peninsula that encloses Magen's Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world (5 minutes away - no exaggeration). She and Mike have maintained the property nicely: the beauty of the views can not be overstated. The home is just like the pictures, perhaps even more beautiful because you cannot appreciate the comfortable layout in the photos. The home is remote and peaceful, and we didn't hear or even see neighbors unless we took out the binoculars. We grilled every day while still being able to be together in the pool/hot tub area on deck. We found a well-stocked kitchen with top of the line appliances. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms, though a bit dated, were clean and very functional with ample storage. The home is decorated like a real home, not like a soulless rental. We went to Magen's Bay almost every day (we swam with a giant turtle there), but also made trips to Sapphire and Coki bays for better snorkeling. Be aware: parking is sketchy at Coki, and the surrounding areas are sort of rundown. But fish and coral are plentiful. When we return to USVI, we will stay here again. We didn't even have to worry about mosquitos- the gentle breezes keep them away. Thanks LInda and Mike for a wonderful week!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 18, 2014View listing
"We just recently (03/20-03/27, 2014) rented this beautiful villa in St. Thomas. The photos are very accurate but the villa is even more spacious and beautiful in person. Everything we needed was supplied. It was very clean and cozy. The view of Meghan's Bay was breathtaking and could be seen by every room. The deck by the water is spacious and makes this villa even more attractive. The water out from the deck had some rocks to walk over at first but then it was all sand and crystal clear blue after that. We could leave our screen sliding doors open at night and hear the ocean's waves. The owner was very easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had. There where friendly iguanas walking around but were more scared of us then us of them. The road leading to the villa was somewhat scary at first as are all the roads on St. Thomas. But after a couple of days we were use to it and got around just fine. I felt very safe in the area the villa was located. I would definitly stay here again and give it a 5 star A+."Guest: Rinda M. "My husband and I traveled staying in "Paradise" for a week with our little one in tow. The first morning we woke up to a beautiful sunrise and clear blue skies over the marina. The place was really quiet, and the neighbors were super friendly. The place was clean and comfortable. We made full use of the snorkel and beach chairs that our host so kindly left in the rental for use.The beach area was lots of fun with great activities or just to lounge. The location was great because it was just a stone throw from the ferries which travels to St. John, Tortorla. My husband jogged the beach and down the fill to the ferry doc several mornings. And if you every venture down to the Ferry docs there is a little eatery stand inside that sells the BEST I've ever tasted patties (there are two stands right next to each other the 1st is the absolute best in taste and service). There is so much to discover on the island and around the red hook location - one week just wasn't enough. Thanks Gary for your patience with me with all my questions - your answers were very helpful - I never got lost - not once LOL."Guest: Fitinonelife Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 18, 2014View listing
