"i can't even say enough about our week stay at Peter and Beverly's Sapphire Beach condo...!! location, perfect...everything inside, perfect...the weather while there, perfect...the snorkeling, perfect... this condo is stocked with every single thing you can think of, including candles and binoculars!! and of course snorkeling gear and noodles! there is nothing they haven't thought of!! the inside is as beautiful as the outside!! we so loved our nights on the balcony sipping wine or fruity frozen drinks made in the best blender i've ever had on vacation, candles flickering, the sound of gentle waves and the lights of St. John in the distance...this is not a commercial looking beach..it's small, feels personal, and is absolutely gorgeous... i leterally cried almost every morning there at the sheer beauty of it all... just watching the pelicans diving every morning was another favorite way to start our day...it was also super easy to catch the $1 safari into Red Hook to catch the ferry into St. John, as well as just enjoying what became some of our favorite places right in Red Hook...Peter was always very quick and helpful to answer any question i had before our arrival and having Smitty pick us up from the airport, stop at the grocery store, and take us back the day of departure was also just perfect!! this was truly a magical vacation for us and we so can't wait to go back!! we have caught island fever and i don't want a cure!!"Guest: chelle Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 14, 2014View listing
"This was our (family of 4) first time down to the Virgin Islands and our stay was perfect. The condo was a good size for us and the kids each had their own bed. It was recently renovated and looked great. And it is right on the beach with beautiful views. You can relax and swim on the sandy beach, snorkel at the reef (we saw sea turtles and lots of cool fish), or hang by the pool. The location on the island is great as well. It is probable a mile or so from Red Hook which has a few restaurants and light shopping plus a ferry that can take you to St. John. I would definitely go back. I should also mention that there are people around, but it is absolutely not crowded, so no worrying about having to reserve a spot on the beach or by the pool at 8 AM, just come and go as you please. We did not rent a car and were fine using the "Safari Bus" and cabs. There were usually cabs hanging out in the parking lot, but it would have been more convenient had we had a car."Guest: JeremyK Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 22, 2014View listing
"This was truly the most amazing trip ever. Everything was perfect. The room is spacious size to fit 4 people comfortably, it was clean and the view from the large balcony is incredible overlooking all of St. Thomas! King Bed, pull out couch, broom w/ a waterfall shower & a full kitchen. Staff is very friendly w/ free shuttles all day! Not only is the room great, but Point Pleasent Resort is in the BEST location in St. Thomas. Red Hook is only a few miles away which is a town close by with several restaurants and bars and also is where ferry is to take to St John ( only 15 min) ! We went to Red Hook 4-5 times while we were on our 8 day trip. Favorite restaurants there are Island Time Pub ( best pizza around) ; Fish Tails ( delicious seafood); Tap & Still ( yummy/cheap made to order burgers ) & Molly Molones ( great breakfast burritos wrapped in pancakes! ). There is also an amazing more expensive seafood restaurant we went to called Mims a Seafood Bistro. It's directly on the beach in Balongo Bay in St. Thomas. We had a 10 pound Carribean Lobster! The beaches in St. Thomas are gorgeous. A few favorites that we visited were Sugar Bay Beach, Magen's Bay and Coki Beach. While at Coki Beach, order the fresh fruit smoothies ! (with rum of course! ) We took the ferry to St. John one day and that is a must. The town is fun & has a lot of restaurants, beach bars & even a small casino. A few of the beaches we went to in St. John were Magen's Bay, Cinnanmon bay Beach and Trunk Bay. Bring $for cabs to each beach. Only about $5 each but they don't take CC. All beaches weree gorgeous & water is crystal clear everywhere. Snorkeling is the best at Trunk Bay ! Make sure to do some water activities ! We parasailed over St. Thomas and the views were incredible. Make sure to bring a waterproof camera up there !! Our favorite part of the trip by far was taking the ferry to St. John and then hopping on a chartered Catamaran to the British Virgin Islands(need passport)- the most breathtaking beaches we have ever seen. Our boat went to Great Harbour Beach & Jost Van Dyke (our favorite). Go to famous Soggy Dollar Bar there & get a painkiller drink with fresh nutmeg on top :) All in all, we promise a relaxing, yet fun filled adventurous trip if you come stay at Point Pleasant in this unit. We absolutely cannot wait to go back ! Thank you to the owners Alison & Roy for giving us the opportunity for this unforgettable trip! We are forever grateful! "Fantastic!! Would highly recommend this to anyone. Working with the owner was great. Very nice, clean condo. Would definitely request this same condo again. The management on the property was excellent too, if we had any problem or concern they were on it immediately! The beach is so close. Quality, affordable condos near Red Hook, like this one, are the best and safest places to be on the island. This is our 2nd year in coming here and this is where I would prefer to stay for sure!"Guest: Sheryl M. Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 7, 2014View listing
