"This place is quite large and beautiful inside. The pictures of the unit do not do it justice. We loved it and were very impressed by Norma , the caretaker, who was a joy to meet and deal with. I also hesitate to tell people how great this place is because I want to come again. As Richard advised us we brought food, meat , breakfast items etc. and saved ourselves a bundle. Our trip to St Thomas was made so much more enjoyable due to Richard and Norma working with us so willingly when we had to make changes in our travel plans."Guest: Lynn C. "I stayed at Jennifer's condo for three nights as part of a girls vacation. The condo was clean and well maintained and looked like the photos! The kitchen was well stocked even though we didn't do any cooking. Bathroom is beautiful and two sinks made it very nice to get ready in the evenings. We loved the patio and the sound of the ocean. The unit overlooks a pool that looks as if renovating around it has been started but not ever completed. The unit is close to the town of redhook but the road to get there is a little too scary to walk on so we took taxis all the time. We ate at Fish tails and Reverly which were both very good restaurants! We were told there is no longer a grocery market in red hook which was slightly disappointing since we didn't want to travel very far just to buy some cereal. The beach at sapphire is very nice although we ended up taking taxis to Megan's bay and Coki beach and didn't get to spend much time at our own. I would recommend renting a car! The condo is easily accessible to drive to and parking was ample, and cabs get very expensive! We took the breakaway new horizons boat tour which left from sapphire marina and it was a great time! I have a few comments/ suggestions for the owner... I have stayed at many other vrbo loactions and most of them provide more details and instructions surrounding their property in regards to entry and any tips/ tricks navigating the island that may be useful to know. . A little "welcome folder" would be a nice touch. We did not try to rent snorkel equipment from the beach but we did use, what was in the closet...the snorkel tubes leak and should be replaced. There is a safe in the condo but we could not get it to work, we called the property manager who told me that it had been broken for 2 years. A lot of travelers feel more secure with a spot to store their valuables. I was at sapphire beach 11 years ago and I feel like this beach has a bit of a run down feeling to it since my last visit. The tennis courts are in disrepair and I am curious to know how long the beach building has been undergoing renovations? I will say that Building D has a fresh coat of varnish on all of the decks and railings which make it look so much more appealing then the buildings that haven't been painted yet. I did see workers sweeping the beach and cleaning the pool area every morning which was nice! St. Thomas is a beautiful island and Sapphire Beach is a very good location in my opinion! Choose this unit!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 21, 2014View listing
"Just returned from Kiribe. We enjoyed a 14 day stay on the island and the last four at Kiribe. Condo was clean and very comfortable. Enjoyed those beach chairs. We opted to drive down to the beach. It is a bit much with coolers, chairs, and snorkel gear. Everything on the beach was closed down but we always go prepared. Disappointed the pool was being refurbished while we were there, but found another one, one level up and it was beautiful. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. Very close to red hook and other beaches on the east end."Guest: Ed & Bernie S. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 17, 2014View listing
"A great place to spend a week or few days! Everything was as we expected it to be and the position is perfect. Loved having 3 restaurants within walking distance and especially liked the Lobster Grill at the far end of the beach at Bolongo Bay Resort. Enjoyed the half day sail to Turtle Cove on the catamaran too. Definitely recommend hiring a car as there are lots of other bays and beaches to explore. We went to Avis downtown and had no problem."Guest: Barb Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: May 3, 2014View listing
