  • Amazing beautiful views!

"We got lucky - this spot opened up at the last minute. We loved this condo - modern and spotless, it had everything that we needed. We loved coffee and breakfast on the balcony every morning looking at those views , very relaxing. The grounds and the pools were also spotless and well kept. Perfect location so close to Red Hook for groceries, supplies, restaurants and bars. Loved that if we didn't want to go out for dinner or cook (happy hour started at 4), we could grab something at the Sapphire Grill, or the snack "bus" at the top of the driveway. We even ordered pizza one night to our door! The BBQ's on the property were also handy one night for a steak dinner. This unit was in a great spot on the property, close to the pool, bar, and the beach. Our friends were staying in one of the units on the hill, which was quite the workout, but the views were even more amazing once you caught your breath! We didn't rent a car and had no problem getting around the island. The safari taxis were great for going to town, and we even grabbed one to Charlotte Amalie for some shopping. We rented our own taxi, which took us on a personal tour to different beaches, and to the top of the mountain. Magen's Bay is stunning! We also really enjoyed the beaches in St John, which is so easy to get to - 20 minute ferry ride from Red Hook. Our favourite thing was the speed boat that we chartered for the day and got to cruise around the BVI's, snorkel at the caves , lobster lunch on the beach at Sydneys, and spend the afternoon at the beach by Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke. Awesome! We would love to come back here. There were no issues with anything, WiFi worked great too, and it was a pleasure dealing with Tom through the booking process, which was all new to these All Inclusive travelers. What a treat after this long long winter in Toronto!"

  • Best View!

"This was the first time that we have rented a condo for a vacation. Initially, I was a little hesitant but definitely glad that we did! The condo was awesome! You really could not beat the view! The condo had everything that you would need to make yourself comfortable. It felt like a home away from home. It took a couple days to figure everything out but once we did we were able to relax. I would definitely recommend renting a car. It would have been difficult to get around the island and even the resort without a car. My wife and I, who are both in decent shape, walked down to the beach a couple times and it was a little rough. I would definitely suggest going to Lindquist Beach and it is only a few minutes from the condo. Magen’s Bay was also really nice. If you are a diver, I would suggest using the dive shop in Red Hook."

  • Absolutely Amazing!!

"Where to start? We needed a place to unplug and unwind and this was perfect! The view was amazing, like postcard amazing. The beach was rocky and rough and awesome for shell hunting. The path over to Neltjeburg Bay was AMAZING!!!! We used to live on island and I thought you had to go to St. John to see views like that while hiking, here it's in your own backyard. The best restaraunt on island (Thirteen) is right up the hill. We ate there once and then ordered a carryout our last night. The condo had everything you could need/want and then some. Very well stocked. The owner was prompt and went above and beyond. Was even willng to try to find us a car to borrow while there when our rental fell through. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A CAR. Preferably an SUV. Driving back and forth to different places we never took that same way twice (even when we tried:-)) and it was a great way to see ALL of the island. If you are wanted a base to island hop or explore everyday this is probably not the place for you. It's 45\60 minutes from Red Hook and 30 minutes to Charlotte Amalie. However if you are on vacation to sit, relax and take in postcard views of beach, palm trees and blue oceans, explore trails and private beaches, listen to waves hitting the shore lulling you to sleep, and not have to worry about if you left something at home, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!! We have a 3 and 5 year old and I would have felt totally comfortable bringing them. The local kids were always out playing. I think kids would have a blast here. The locals were great. Friendly and willing to answer any questions but never once bothered us. We never even used to pool. Wifi worked great when we needed it."

  • Living in paradise!!

"My boyfriend and I stayed at the Morningstar Villa for the month of February and loved every minute of it. The view from the deck is simply amazing--very colorful and lush. It was fun watching the boats and cruise ships sailing by as we were drinking a nice tropical drink. The villa itself is very beautiful, updated, clean and located in a great area. The kitchen has everything you need, and a washer and dryer is available, so pack light. Because we stayed for the month of February, it was like living in St. Thomas and not vacationing. We would have a leisurely morning and then drive to Havensight and park our car (at the Kmart). Everyday we walked to Charlotte Amalie to climb the 99 steps that led to Bluebeards Castle. In the end it was actually 150 steps, but at least we got some exercise. Next we would go to the beach--we love Lindquist Beach the most, but we also like Sapphire Beach and Magens Bay. We liked Brewers Bay for swimming, but it is not beautiful like the other beaches. Many times after having a relaxing day at the beach we would stop at one of the many bars that have happy hour. We really liked Duffy’s and Molly Malone’s in Red Hook. We did day trips to St. John for snorkeling at Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Bay is also worth going to. We took a ferry to Water Island, which was also very fun. The bar has great hamburgers!!! We normally had our meals in and found 2 great grocery stores. I think one is called The Gourmet Gallery (Havensight) and the other is Cost U Less. Cost U less is very similar to Costco, except you don’t need to be a member. The Gourmet Gallery is similar to Wholefoods. Great meat selection. I stopped frequently to make a salad from the salad bar. Kmart is also a good place to buy groceries like cereal, bread, snacks and alcohol. The Brownings put together a book of everything you need to know about St. Thomas--ferry schedules, restaurant reviews, menus, beaches, bars, charters, shopping, etc.. Make sure you read it to get greats ideas. If we ever take a trip to St. Thomas again, Morning Star Villa is the place we will stay!!! Thank you Leah and Scott!!!"
