  • Amazing visit at Million Dollar View!

"We spent 5 amazing nights at this apartment and loved every second! The view really is amazing at any point of the day. Diane and Robert have stocked the apartment with everything that you could possibly need, most importantly a cooler/ice packs, beach chairs, snorkel gear, and beach towels. Definitely make use of those when visiting all the gorgeous beaches on the island! The wifi availability is very helpful, especially if you do not have phone service on the island. The tree frog sounds are incredible at night and are very conducive to a good night's rest.. we missed them at home! The full size kitchen makes it easy to make quick snacks or meals to take with on your outings or enjoy on the beautiful deck. From the airport, you can stop at the Pueblo grocery store on the way - but we also found a huge Walgreens reasonably close to the apt. that had everything you could want at reasonable prices for the island ($$). It is very necessary to have a car on the island, as everything is reasonably close but on winding narrow roads. At first, the roads/driving/parking are intimidating but it gets easier as you get the hang of the island maps. Magen's Bay (seen from the deck) is less than 10 mins away and is certainly worth the admittance fee (stop at Cup&Cork for a snack on the way and Udder Delight for a milkshake on the way back!!). We also enjoyed Sapphire Beach and Smith Bay - about 15-20 mins away. Make sure to make a trip to St. John using either the car barge or regular ferry, the beaches and snorkeling are beautiful with hiking opportunities as well. Upon arriving at the apartment, take the time to read the guest book - there are TONS of helpful hints in there! Robert and Diane are extremely friendly and helpful with any questions you may have or suggestions on places to see/eat. There are several nice restaurants less than 5 mins away from this location. Book this beautiful place!! Thank you for a great stay, we would return in a heart beat!"

  • Saphire Bay

"I was on the Island for two weeks on business...11/25/2014 to 12/8/2014. My accommodation plans had changed sudddenly and I found myelf in need of immediate lodging. Through VRBO and a few obviously lucky clicks I came across this unit. It was Thanksgiving day and the owner and her on site rental manager moved mountains to accommodate me. Thank you both again! The unit was lovelier than the pictures portrayed and its view, aspect and proximity to the water were incredible. The unit was wonderfully decorated and thanfully not so in a fussy way. Type A clean freaks like myself will find themselves with nothing to do or re clean here! It was fully equpiied with all comforts for both work and play. The Wi-Fi was strong and consistent. Saphire Bay is within walkable distance to Red Hook though unless you are part Billy Goat I suggest you drive it. If you are travelling to St Thomas and want the best life has to offer this property fits the bill. Oh, I would be remiss not to mention the BBQ truck that is parked on top of the entrance to Saphire Bay. Its called Off The Grid. Get there early as they sell out daily. Carnitarians will genuflect at its mere passing."

  • Private villa, lush grounds, and breathtaking views

"This house had it all. The views were spectacular! We would wake up every morning and congregate on the front porch (or by the pool) with our coffee to greet the day. We would peer at the cruise ships coming in, watch the various birds and even was graced with the presence of a double rainbow one morning. The house was fully stocked and supported the needs of six active adults. When we went to the store we did not have to worry about buying many staples, since they were already there. We did a lot of cooking at the house and had what we needed. The pool, the outdoor shower and the grounds in general were added bonuses. We spent a whole day just lounging at the house floating in the pool, cooking on the grill and wandering around looking at the beautiful landscape. The property manager, Leah, was a dream to work with. She made everything so easy and convenient for us. We had a rental car issue with one of our travelers and she got a car for us then delivered it to the house. When it was time to return the car she worked with our schedule for us to return it. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! I would highly recommend this property for its location (very convenient to town and the east end), the views, the privacy, the lush grounds, and the ease in organizing the rental of this place. We would stay here again in a heartbeat."
