"I had the opportunity to stay at this condo for nine days along with my fiancé and we had a wonderful stay. The property is located off the beaten path, is very quiet yet close to Red Hook amenities such as restaurants, bars, stunning beaches, ferry to St John and most things we needed. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Everyone we came into contact was very friendly. There was a small market in Red Hook that has closed but there is a bigger supermarket located slightly west and is about a five minute drive. A car is almost a necessity here although cabs will respond. The unit was stocked with everything we needed and there were no problems at all. Dawn was responsive to our questions before the trip and everything went as planned. We loved sleeping with the doors open and hearing the waves lap at the shore very close by. The unit has AC but we seldom used it because we liked the night sounds so much. This is my fourth stay in St Thomas and I love it very much. We took walks every morning which allowed us to see some other very interesting properties as well as scenic vistas very close by. If you have never been, you will be amazed at the scenery along with St John. We rented from Avis which allows cars on the ferry to St John. Parking in Red Hook can be a challenge but there is a free underground parking garage that we found after a few days, take a right at the sign for Molly Malone’s if heading east just as you enter the center. Our favorite beach is Lindquist which is located between Sapphire and Coki. The water is crystal clear for good snorkeling, bring a cooler. Secret Harbor is a good place for a snorkel and a sunset cocktail and is very close by the condo , it is calm and protected if there is too much wind at the east facing beaches. Red Hook is a blast and we will return and stay in this property again, it is a great value. Thanks Dawn, Jay and Wendie Newport, RI"Guest: Jay O. "My wife and I stayed at this property from Jan 24 to Jan 30, 2014. Superb location and beautiful view; even better than the pics. There is a fantastic restaurant in the ground floor at water's edge. Nice beaches (Coki and Saffire) near by. We also loved the little but charming secluded beach right on the property. Of course, we loved the view, the food, the beaches. That made our stay so enjoyable. But it would not have been so if not for the help and the extra mile that the Manager, Dionne, went to accommodate us. Due to a snowstorm our flight on the 22nd January got cancelled and we got a flight two days later than our scheduled arrival. Dionne was always there to help us while I was coordinating with the airlines for flight and she was not sure how she would do it but assured us that somehow she will take care of it. Indeed, she did. She had to move us to another unit for the last night of our stay there. We're really thankful for her accommodating us and being always cheerful."Guest: Sid Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: March 15, 2014View listing
"I've been trying to think about how to review this condo, and I think a list of pros and cons might be easiest: Pros: The view - amazing. From the back veranda, you could see some gorgeous water, as well as St. John (if you walked a few feet down the beach). The beach - quiet and beautiful; at times, it felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves, which was cool. Very clean and maintained. The decor - very modern, updated, trendy. The cabana bar - lordy, those women could make some rum punch. I mean, one would do ya just fine. Some were working on island time, but they made up for it with that rum pour. The critters - my hubby and I really enjoyed the iguanas and little lizards and hermit crabs, as well as some cute little leopard-print ducks. We're big animal lovers, so it was neat to see some new faces. Cons: I think that the condo itself (and its furniture and fixtures) could stand a once-over and here's why: Within an hour of arriving, I found myself locked in the bathroom. My husband used the bathroom before me and said the door didn't shut completely, so it swung open mid-stream, shall we say. Well, I'm not so brilliant, so I gave the door a firm shove when I went in (I didn't know about his door experience yet) and... it stuck. I believe the pin that goes from the knob into the door frame itself jammed up or broke completely. I had to remove the doorknob from the inside with a knife and a screwdriver that the very nice maintenance man passed me under the door. We spent the remainder of our honeymoon without a bathroom doorknob. I'll just say - it sucked. Could have been much worse, but still sucked. My hubby, who weighs all of 165 lbs, was sitting in a wooden chair on the back patio area a couple nights before we left and it actually split apart and dumped him onto the ground. It looks like it's happened before because there was already a small wooden piece of the back missing. We were able to fit the pegs back together and it was intact again, although we didn't sit in it for the remainder of our trip. Bottom line, the view and beach is fantastic but I think this place really needs some routine maintenance. As it stood, with the bathroom and the chair incident, it rates a solid 'good'. I would definitely consider returning, but suggest the owners visit first and make a few improvements."Guest: Amber P. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 8, 2014View listing
"The condo location and position is wonderful. - the perfect combination of relaxing privacy and accessibility to beach activities, necessities, and restaurants. Condo is fully equipped with many amenities. We snorkeled with sea turtles and rays right off the condo beach! The pool was a bonus and large enough to swim laps. The restaurant food was very good and reasonably priced and next time we would pack a suitcase with nonperishable food items to cut on grocery store costs. Scott and Leah are very professional and provide intensive pre-trip advice with more info binders in the unit. We traveled with a 17 and 20 year old and they loved it too! Easy access to and from the airport. Many places to sight see, shop and snorkel on St. Thomas and the Ferry ride to St. John is a must with breathtaking sights and beaches, shopping, restaurants and activities as well - really a fantastic 2 for 1 vacation!"Guest: Nancy B.
