  • Fabulous week at Sapphire Beach

"On arrival at this beautiful beachside 2-story unit, everything was absolutely pristine and as advertised: The office admission process took only 3 minutes and my mate and I were in our home for the week, in awe of the views from both verandas. We bought an island rum drink from the nearby "Banana Cabana" (a "pain-killer"), settled in and drove 5 minutes to the loval village of Red Hook where we had dinner at Pesce, a lovely Italian restaurant, then picked up a few groceries across the street before returning "home" to bed, excited about the morning to come. The master suite is exquisite, and all the furnishings and appointments were A-Class. From the complex, we took several day trips on sailboats and a motor launch for snorkeling, sight-seeing and dining. Our condo unit owner provided handsome discount coupons when we rented and some helpful info as well. Sapphire Beach is also the only condo harbor where you can walk to the boats, rather than taking cabs, etc. The beachside sand is pure white and there are trees for shade if you want, with little ducks and a few iguanas to entertain you in between great snorkeling only a few steps away, with tropical fish and even a few sea turtles in residence. There are pools as well if salt water isn't your thing, with beach runners to bring you drinks and lunch if you prefer. All in all, a most fabulous week at a great rental unit in a laid-back atmosphere. I will return very soon. Beachcomber Joe"

  • Another beautiful stay at Crystal Cove

"Thank you again for another fantastic stay at your beautiful condo at Crystal Cove. After a 10 day sail trip we were very happy to have long showers, a big comfy bed and air conditioning! Your condo is even better than pictured and the accessibility to the most beautiful beach and bay on the island is fantastic. Everything is very clean and well maintained. It feels like you are staying at a relatives home. Norma leaves basics/staples in the cabinets and refrigerator which is a nice touch. We have no need to leave the property once we arrive and are content to make our own meals in a kitchen that has everything you need. We love to take a cooler to the beach to waste away the day gazing out at St. John and the most beautiful blue water you have ever seen. The snorkeling in the bay this year was fantastic with many large turtles and rays seen. We hope to return in 2 years to again enjoy your fabulous accommodations."

  • Excellent Unit and Location!

"We can't say enough good things about this unit and it's location on the property. Where to start... Sapphire Beach is located on the East End of the island and is within a mile of Red Hook which is packed with great restaurants, bars (Duffy's) and the ferry to St. John. Sapphire Beach in our opinion is the best beach on the island. It has it all...small crowds, great snorkeling, soft sand, shade trees, a snack/drink shack, a pool and a marina with fishing charters, parasailing, sailing charters and PWC's. The best part of all is this unit is located right in front of the best part of the beach. As for the unit...It is located in the "B" building and occupies the top two stories. It is also a corner unit so both the 1st and 2nd floor have a wrap around balcony. The inside of the unit is completely remodeled and very inviting. The 1st floor has a full tile bathroom, kitchen complete with all the appliances, a pull out sleeper sofa and chair, TV, a dining table and a full set of patio furniture on the balcony. On the 2nd floor there is another full tile bath, king bed, pull out sleeper sofa and chair, TV and dresser. There is plenty of storage for your weeks worth of clothes and purchases. You really can't go wrong with this unit. We'll be back soon for sure. If this unit is booked the owners also have a two story corner unit in the F building which overlooks the marina and St. John. Thanks for sharing your paradise with us!"

  • WOW -- What a view!

"I have been traveling to the USVI for many years now -- but it has been our first time back with our kids (ages 10 and 13). We really wanted to stay on the East End, close to the ferry and to Red Hook so we can enjoy the many beaches and restaurants the east end has too offer. But we still wanted to cook / eat breakfast when we wanted to. (Breakfast options are not plentiful.) Unfortunately, many resorts have been run down in the area. But not Cowpet! The villa was excellent. Updated, clean, and everything we could want. The location of the villa within the complex was probably one of the best -- overlooking the end of the beach -- but far enough away that it is totally private. We loved falling to sleep to the waves. The beach was truly a gem. Not crowded at all (unlike the Ritz next door), with no sea grass (unlike a few other resort beaches). Two top notch restaurants on site, and a place to rent water toys. The entire complex was well maintained, as the complex was gated and secure. Oh, the pool was great too! Nice and big, and tropical. Loved the little pool bar where we could watch a few football games while we enjoyed the beach/pool. My son snorkeled the bay almost everyday (even though it lacks a reef that would attract many fish). No worries though, plenty of great snorkeling at Coki and Sapphire -- all within a 10 minutes drive. I really hate writing such a good review -- as we want the place all to ourselves. But Bill was a great host, and we won't be back for a few years. He deserves a great review."
