  • Spring Break 2014

"All can say is WOW! My wife, three college kids and I rented this boat for spring break 2014. We came back with memories of a life time! Roy (the owner) did a great job of making all arrangements and reservations. His itinerary was awesome. (We did make a couple of minor changes - which were no problem). The boat is roomy, comfortable and FUN! The Exuma's are beautiful. You wont find water more clear and crystal blue anywhere. Make sure you get Todd and Dana as the crew. They are the best. I can see this venue for families with elementary school kids to all the way up to grandparents with their kids. For your final night you MUST do dinner on the beach at Aviva."

  • An Awesome Experience!

"Our trip aboard Ayacanora was everything we’d hoped it would be. Unsure if we could handle 7 days at sea, we booked a three night cruise and Mike and Roberta (along with Rick, we had tri-captains :)) gave us an experience we’ll never forget. Ayacanora is spectacular. It was really cool seeing passengers on other boats taking pictures of her. We knew we wanted to snorkel the caves at Norman Island and see the Baths on Virgin Gorda but, other than that, what we had no agenda other than to relax, enjoy a good sail and snorkel and anchor in some crystal clear, calm water. One night at The Bight and two in Pond Bay on Virgin Gorda, as well as a sail to Leverick Bay did the trick. And the food! We told Roberta that we’d happily eat seafood for dinner every night and she absolutely nailed it—freshly caught poached lobster over cheese ravioli, grouper with roasted potatoes and green beans with bacon, shrimp and scallops over wild rice with shaved zucchini and carrots. Are you drooling yet? Happy hour treats included crab cakes, pesto pinwheels and lobster and crab puff pastries. Oh, and there were freshly baked blueberry muffins and amazing cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Sorry, Roberta, but we do hold you responsible for some of the weight we gained! We so enjoyed getting to know the three of you as we shared those late-night conversations in the cockpit. Seeing the Southern Cross and phosphorescent algae for the first time was just icing on the cake. Thank you for a fantastic experience. Mark and Jamie"

  • Why this is the ideal format

"Why Sail with Captain Dave and Bobbie Rae You will be treated as royalty. Being the only couple on board you can choose your ideal balance of sailing, activities ashore, and snorkeling. Scuba is an option as well. They greeted you at the airport and transport you by private car to the dock. Return is the same, only much sadder to be leaving. Captain Dave and Bobbie Rae even take care of your luggage. Bobbie Rae keeps everything ship-shape. From coiling jib sheets to picking up mooring lines, to tidying up around the stateroom and galley, she is always busy. Her artistic touch is evident in the welcome champagne, carved soap, and other touches just for your arrival. You will appreciate the Captain’s excellent culinary skills. We ate incredibly good meals and were felt there was not enough to eat. Drinks and snacks overflowed as well. His pre-cruise checklist includes foods for you to select and he calls la few days before launch to make absolutely sure he understands just what you want. In addition to being a skilled sailor all his live, Dave knows all the best places to anchor. He considers current, wind, bugs, and diving options. We saw the most unbelievable array of undersea life. Many types of coral, a bevy of sea turtles, a peacock flounder, an octopus, and about 30 different tropical fish – many of which were not in the book. You will never meet a more gregarious guy than Captain Dave. He knows everyone around town and on the water and they all are glad to see him. Sleep late..,, full breakfast,,,, sail…, dive…, fancy lunch…, sail…, dive…, elegant supper… your favorite music to aid stargazing of an uncluttered sky…, then let the waves gently rock you to sleep. Repeat. What a terrific week. The only regret will be that the week sails by all too fast. In summary, a week with Captain Dave will be memorable because their goal is to make you completely happy."
