  • The Ultimate location!!!

"As this was booked through our company we were not sure what to expect. However, as soon as you walk into this condo on main floor you are facing the pool as well as a view of the ocean. Yes, you can literally hear the waves of the ocean and are surrounded by chirping birds and tropical palm trees. You are paces away to play in the ocean and can have many long walks along the beach or you can basque in the sun or enjoy the 3 pools that this complex has to offer. It also offers a group BBQ that is available for booking across from the condo. The complex is well kept, very secure and quite. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Close to restaurants and a cab ride away from downtown Jaco for under $3.00 as well as centrally located to do the many tours that are available. The tours are definitely worth checking into and Sherri-Lee had provided a list of these as well as great contact for us to obtain our tickets. Our lasting memories will be enjoying our meals on the outdoor balcony facing the ocean as well as the evenings on the beach enjoying the sunsets that were painted every night with a different brush and visited by different planets and constellations. Truly Wonderful! The ultimate spot to be able to rent a well furnished 2 bedroom condo (laundry facilities included) from the gracious and wonderful owner Sherri-Lee. Thank you for sharing your property! We highly recommend renting this unit personally and corporately! The Ultimate location!!! Totally Awesome!!!"

  • Family getaway to Tamarindo

"We stayed at Ibis #8 for 2 weeks, from Jan 4-18th. As other reviewers have pointed out, the unit itself is very well appointed with high-end appliances, sturdy furniture and all of the modern conveniences one would expect from an upscale condo. The condo itself does not have any amenities onsite (pool, gym, etc.) - these are located directly across the street at the Langosta Beach Club. Ibis guests have full access; the club is also features one of the nicer restaurants in the area. This is the quieter, more scenic section of Tamarindo beach, which may appeal to those seeking a slower pace. Sebastian (the concierge) was very friendly and approachable. He always greeted us with a warm smile and was great with our kids. Bob handled a few issues that came up and he took care of them promptly. The security/groundskeepers/housekeepers were all very friendly and helpful. One of them kindly fixed a broken strap on our luggage, which we really appreciated. The crew at the Langosta Beach Club were also very fun and energetic. Some might find the location a bit remote (you will need to drive or walk 5-7 mins to get to Tamarindo, down a busy dirt road with no sidewalks) but we liked the fact that it was quiet and relatively secluded. We were a bit disappointed with the dust and road noise that came from the adjacent Langosta Road. Apparently a paving project is imminent, so the dust issue may be addressed soon. Nevertheless, if you are a light sleeper, I would suggest looking for a unit facing the rear of the building, which faces the Tamarindo Preserve. The unit boasts comfy beds, a pull-out sofa sleeper, nice plumbing fixtures, tasteful decorating, modern appliances and three separate decks. The WiFi is not particularly strong - barely enough for Netflix, fine for e-mail and social networking. There is no VoIP line in the unit, so you will need to rely on mobile or Skype for making calls. Overall, this unit served us well and we were not disappointed. We would recommend it to others, seeking a quieter location in an small & modern building."

  • Surfer's Paradise

"I just got home from my 10 day stay at Casa Marina and had a wonderful time. I went with my wife, our 1 year old daughter, and my sister and her boyfriend. Marina arranged our airport transportation since we didn't want to rent a car. The driver had an nice van with A/C and a cooler full of cold drinks for the hour ride to Playa Grande. He even let us stop at the store on the way to stock up on groceries. Marina greeted us at the property and gave us the quick tour. The two rooms are very nice, clean, and spacious. The pool and the yard are beautiful. Within about 2 hours we were completely settled. Half our group was relaxing by the pool and the other half were sitting on cheaply rented longboards ($100ea for the 10 day stay from a local surf camp) catching perfect warm water waves and watching the sun set over the Pacific. Over the next 10 days we surfed twice a day, every day. The beach is literally a 100 or maybe 150 yard walk at the most. Their pool is warm because it has a dark bottom and absorbs heat from the sun. I've been in other pools in Costa Rica and Nicaragua with white bottoms that are too cold to hang out in. The restaurants close by in Palm Beach Estates (all less than a 5 minute walk) were all very good. The convenience/grocery store (also less than 5 minutes) has EVERYTHING at totally reasonable prices. We took a $20 round trip cab ride into Playa Grande for dinner 2 other nights. Sunday Night Sushi at one of them was excellent. All in all, we had a wonderful time at Casa Marina. I don't think there's a better "bang for the buck" place to stay in Playa Grande. If you're looking for a good place to stay on a surf trip, you've found it. We didn't do any of the other tours (estuary tour, ziplines, white water rafting, volcano tours, etc) but I've heard they're all fun as well. We basically woke up at sunrise, surfed for 2-3 hours, relaxed by the pool the rest of the day and surfed again 2-3 hours until the sun set and started getting dark. We'll definitely be going back!"

  • infinity bay 2br/2ba condo

"New and clean unit (the entire complex is only seven years old), great location in Infinity Bay. Staff is professional and service oriented, pool is excellent and food at the beach bar is good with great portions. Beach can be crowded with lots of solicitors but snorkeling is excellent."
