  • Perfect vacation!

"We are a family of 3 (couple and a 10 months baby) and we rented this house for 12 days. We needed to get away to a quiet and beautiful place. Casa Dos Leones was exactly that. Barry and Claudia gave us tones of informations and were very helpful. Everything they said turned out to be true. No bad surprises. The description and pictures gives an exact idea of what you're gonna get. Atenas is beautiful and the weather is just perfect. The house is located in the mountains surrounding the town. The view is spectacular. The house is really comfortable and spacious. We got great service from the property management (Marian and Aad). Marian took us everywhere (beach, coffee tour, La Paz, etc.) and it was really convenient with our baby. Thank you again for everything. We recommend your house very strongly. We had an amazing vacation. Pura Vida!"

  • Absolutely Awesome!

"Had an absolutely fabulous time staying at Casa Ceiba. House was great and help from Kelly (conceirge) and Emilce's cooking were outstanding. Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica having close access to variety of activities from zip-lining to ATV to horseback riding. Lilander's Appalosa stables and horseback riding excursion to "secret" waterfall will be something we will never forget and would highly recommend. Views from home and variety of flowers and wildlife were truly beautiful. Thank you!"

  • Simply Extravagant

"I am another first time user of VRBO and if this is what we should expect, I will only use this site for future travel. We arrived in the afternoon and after driving up the mountain, we weren’t sure what to expect. Never in a million years did we imagine that we would be staying at such an incredible place. The pictures really don’t do it justice. The home was amazing, the landscaping was beautifully manicured and the view was spectacular. We were here to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. We enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi as we watched the sun set and loved cooking our meals in such a beautiful kitchen, which was perfectly stocked with cooking utensils, coffee maker and grinder, blender, etc. The location was perfect too! Away from the town but not too far away that you couldn’t go shopping at the supermarket or into the town for the many restaurants and shops. I also want to say how easy it was to make this happen. Joe was great in answering my questions, talking with me on the phone and making sure I felt very comfortable with our stay. I just can’t say enough good things. We can’t wait to come back and bring our family. Thank you so much!!!"

  • Great property near the great little town of Atenas

"Our stay in this upscale house on the top of a hill was wonderful. The open floor-plan house with modern kitchen house has everything one needs for a place in the central highlands. An easy 30 minute drive from the San Jose airport lands one in the little town of Atenas and a five minute car ride up into the hills finds you in the heart of luxury. Atenas has everything you need to make this your base of operation to explore the central highlands. Poas Volcano is about 1.5 hour drive and Arenal Volcano is 2.5 hours. Both can be day-trips, but we stayed overnight in Arenal to get the best use of our time. Lots of other fun stuff to do in the outdoors. And returning to the house after an active day to find the pool inviting us in for a dip was a nice addition."
