"I cannot say enough good things about this property and the owners! The house has the most amazing view and is very beautiful. Sam and Roxanne are very attentive and always available to answer any questions you may have. We definitely plan to go back to Costa Rica and we will definitely stay here again!"

"Wow! What a home--the views of the valley and hills are amazing, day or night. Most nights we'd sit on the expansive patio enjoying a drink and nature's peaceful sounds. Open up all the pocket doors and you feel like you're living in a luxurious tree house, no one around to disturb your day. The home is beautifully decorated and is located away from other homes in the area--you can't see or hear anyone else.
This home was easy to book, the owner is responsive and Leticia the house manager is lovely and helpful. The home is an easy drive from the San Jose airport and a great home base for exploring Costa Rica. From the home we drove to the Poas Volcano, Sarchi (quaint artisan town), Jaco and Puntaranus (beach towns), Zoo Ave and so much move. The pool is great and you can hike from the house to coffee and mango farms.
The climate truly is perfect in Atenas, beautiful in the day (even in the green season, just an occasional afternoon rain) and perfect at night (no air conditioning needed!).
We were visited by a wonderfully sweet cat, with a physical disability that will win your heart over in a minute. She stays outside and is very courteous.
We would love to come back and likely will--a perfect vacation!"

"Victoria was very helpful with questions that I asked by e-mail & phone calls in the days before leaving for her house in Costa Rica.I was unsure of our arrival time so mentioned between 4pm and 5pm, Victoria's Sister was there waiting for us when we arrived. The GPS we rented with the car was very helpful in finding the home and the lion statue outside the house two doors down. One thing to remember is that besides the lion statue you will be looking for the garage door of the home and not a view of the house front. Once we realized that after looking at the instructions again the home was spotted right away.Victoria's Sister actually met us at the front court yard door and opened the garage door for us to drive the car into the garage area. The home was visibly clean and smelled fresh, a lovely home. Victoria's Sister showed us what was needed, keys and locking of doors, internet equipment and phone numbers for Victoria and her brother Guillermo. Guillermo called while we were there asking how everything was going for us, which was great. The internet stopped once but by unplugging the power cord, waited a minute then plugging the power cord back in. The internet worked fine again. Having the internet supplied was a very nice. The front room and dining room was spacious. Kitchen area was open with nice appliances, washing machine was easy accessible.Bath room was nice with a large tiled shower area, the complete house floors were nicely tiled. The back yard was nice for sitting with beautiful flowers and humming birds visiting regularly. There is a covered area in the back yard and the thing to remember here is that there are clothes drying lines also. Move your clothes there under cover before day trips in case of afternoon rains. The main bedroom had plenty of closet and drawer space for clothes, second room a nice chest of drawers. We felt very secure in the house. We did day trips away from the house to La Fortuna, Puntarenas, Jaco beach, Manual Antonia and La Paz waterfall. All great places to see. Poas and Arenal volcano was clouded in. We contemplated a trip across the Gulf of Nicoya by ferry but would need to leave earlier in the morning. Access to Alajuela, San Jose and the Airport is very easy and fast with GPS help.We ate lunch at the restaurant "Las Delicias Del Maiz" easy drive from the house, very good. The home had the feel of being out in the country yet close to town. A very good experience and would recommend the home for renting."

"We stayed here 5 nights in August with two grandkids (ages 12 &15). Others have mentioned this is on a typical Central American unpaved road which adds to the driving time but also the adventure. When we arrived it was starting to get dark and pouring rain but Nancy's directions were excellent and we found it with no problem. The house is exactly as pictured and quite roomy with AC, washer and dryer and plenty of hot water. Loss of electricity is common in this part of the world but we only had one outage for 4 - 5 hours. The morning after we arrived, we had the good luck of a visit by one of the two scarlet macaws who seem to hang out in this area. The macaw came to the balcony railing that circles the bedrooms on the 2nd floor. It's hard to imagine teenagers excited to be woken at 6 AM but the macaw did the trick and got our trip off to a good start. While here, we hiked the waterfall, visited Baldi hot springs, rapelled through waterfalls with Puretrek, and ziplined with Skytrek. All of these were a 30 - 45 minute drive away. We also visited Proyecto Asis which was a little farther but well worth the trip. We tried out Essence (very convenient 2 doors away and great since we are all vegetarians) and Pizza Johns (a short drive). This was a great property and trip. The only minor complaint was from my husband who likes to cook and so we ate in a few nights - the house needs a few good knives."
