Villa Tamarindo was like a dream except EVERYTHING was real!
"I escaped Paris in France to stay in the villa for a week. 7 days of happiness in this incredible place. I guess my words won't quite describe everything because you have to see it by yourself but let me give it a try! I can assure you that when I first put a foot in the villa, my eyes went bigger. It was incredibly BEAU-TI-FUL! First time i saw such a place! The villa is built around the pool and all the rooms + living room have glass windows so that you can admire the view from your bed. You go to bed eating some fresh mangos while looking at the sunset, i mean what else? I woke up with roosters and it was so nice. I slept so well because this place feels so peaceful. Also you have a grey table outside around a pretty garden for your breakfast and dinner while being happy looking either at the cows or the mountains or the thunderstorm! After hiking i couldn't wait to swim in LA PISCINA and jump in the hot tub :) In addition, the entire space has everything you need (laundry, speakers, dishwasher and goggles ^^) and it is very spacious! To be honest, I could not expect better, because Villa Tamarindo is perfection. Counting the days until I m going to go back and improve my spanish! Pura Vida :)"

"Victoria was very helpful with questions that I asked by e-mail & phone calls in the days before leaving for her house in Costa Rica.I was unsure of our arrival time so mentioned between 4pm and 5pm, Victoria's Sister was there waiting for us when we arrived. The GPS we rented with the car was very helpful in finding the home and the lion statue outside the house two doors down. One thing to remember is that besides the lion statue you will be looking for the garage door of the home and not a view of the house front. Once we realized that after looking at the instructions again the home was spotted right away.Victoria's Sister actually met us at the front court yard door and opened the garage door for us to drive the car into the garage area. The home was visibly clean and smelled fresh, a lovely home. Victoria's Sister showed us what was needed, keys and locking of doors, internet equipment and phone numbers for Victoria and her brother Guillermo. Guillermo called while we were there asking how everything was going for us, which was great. The internet stopped once but by unplugging the power cord, waited a minute then plugging the power cord back in. The internet worked fine again. Having the internet supplied was a very nice. The front room and dining room was spacious. Kitchen area was open with nice appliances, washing machine was easy accessible.Bath room was nice with a large tiled shower area, the complete house floors were nicely tiled. The back yard was nice for sitting with beautiful flowers and humming birds visiting regularly. There is a covered area in the back yard and the thing to remember here is that there are clothes drying lines also. Move your clothes there under cover before day trips in case of afternoon rains. The main bedroom had plenty of closet and drawer space for clothes, second room a nice chest of drawers. We felt very secure in the house. We did day trips away from the house to La Fortuna, Puntarenas, Jaco beach, Manual Antonia and La Paz waterfall. All great places to see. Poas and Arenal volcano was clouded in. We contemplated a trip across the Gulf of Nicoya by ferry but would need to leave earlier in the morning. Access to Alajuela, San Jose and the Airport is very easy and fast with GPS help.We ate lunch at the restaurant "Las Delicias Del Maiz" easy drive from the house, very good. The home had the feel of being out in the country yet close to town. A very good experience and would recommend the home for renting."

"In April, we four friends spent a week at Casa Blais. The views, the breeze, the hammock, the wraparound porch, the pool, the birds, the iguanas, the hammock, the peace and quiet, the rocking chairs, the loungers – all was fabulous. The temperatures were perfect and not a bug in sight!
The house itself was well equipped, very clean and plenty of space for us. There was a TV room downstairs but I don’t think we ever turned on the TV – the view from the porch was all the entertainment we needed. The separate 2 bed/2 bath casita was very nice and offered additional privacy. The house is in a gated community (safe!) and has spectacular views over the valley. At night, the views were equally fabulous showing us the lights from the surrounding towns.
The location was perfect, close to San Jose (30 min) and easy for day trips. We did do an overnight road trip to Arenal – it is too far to go for a day, but we had day trips to Manual Antonio National Park and various local sites. Oscar, our driver, was amazing – he picked us up every day, we got in his comfortable van and didn’t have to think about anything. Highly recommend to have a driver and especially one as knowledgeable and personable as Oscar.
We walked into Atenas one day (20-25 minutes) for lunch. You might want to take a taxi back ($4) as its uphill all the way!!! Good restaurants in the town – check out TripAdvisor for options. We had takeout pizza the first night – that was an easy option and delicious. Everyone speaks English so it is very easy to communicate.
Did I mention the hammock??"
