"We stayed here with our son and his girlfriend and had an absolutely wonderful time. The home is as lovely as it looks in the pictures! What we didn't realize is that the two bedrooms are in two separate buildings - making it perfect for two couples giving each great privacy. The main house is in the middle. The view is spectacular and we loved sitting on the veranda at night watching the lighting show off in the distance! We took advantage of the offer to have someone come in an cook for us and the meal was delicious and it made for a relaxing time for us! I tend to be skeptical of reviews and if you are like me, I hope you'll take this review to heart!! Thank you so much for a very memorable time!"Guest: Kathryn L. "This house is incredible. Its features with the pool/ jacuzzi overlooking the canyon are amazing. The interior is simple and tasteful. The beds are beyond comfortable and the outdoor showers are to die for. I love this place and we all talked about returning to this house and lovely country again. The Vista de Valle Plantstion Inn is a great little resource as well."Guest: Loverotravel Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 18, 2014View listing
"My wife, 2 kids (11 and 8) and I have had one of the most memorable summers you could ever imagine and it would not have been possible without having a place that we could call home for 2 months. The house with its open floor plan, the 3 bedrooms and, my kids favorite, the pool gave us a place to settle in and allowed us to really explore the beauty of Costa Rice. With the internet I was able to do business and stay in contact with my office as well. We experience the farmers market on Friday mornings, the Mercado a couple a times a week, the plaza for the kids to run play and make friend and the one and only Gelly's for our ice cream, ask for Alex he's the owner and is the nicest man and try to make it to La Casita del Café up route 3, great view on top looking down the valley and on a clear day you can see the ocean and the food is really good. We were able to explore multiple beaches that are 40-60 minutes away, go to the volcanoes of Paos and to the waterfall of La Pez, do forget to get your fresh strawberries sold on the side of the road. We also made a weekend trip to Arenal, wonderful. When we needed our American fix we found a Walmart and a Starbuck 20-30 toward San Jose. Great experience and the owner of the property is easy and trust worthy to deal with. I highly recommend this this house and this wonderful little village of Atenas."Guest: Brandon P. "We are a family of 3 (couple and a 10 months baby) and we rented this house for 12 days. We needed to get away to a quiet and beautiful place. Casa Dos Leones was exactly that. Barry and Claudia gave us tones of informations and were very helpful. Everything they said turned out to be true. No bad surprises. The description and pictures gives an exact idea of what you're gonna get. Atenas is beautiful and the weather is just perfect. The house is located in the mountains surrounding the town. The view is spectacular. The house is really comfortable and spacious. We got great service from the property management (Marian and Aad). Marian took us everywhere (beach, coffee tour, La Paz, etc.) and it was really convenient with our baby. Thank you again for everything. We recommend your house very strongly. We had an amazing vacation. Pura Vida!"Guest: Julie-Jode Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: May 26, 2014View listing
