"We were visiting my husband's sister's home on the Pacific coast side of CR. She took us to stay a week at Steve and Nancy's. 10 minutes after meeting them we felt like we had known them forever and were our new best friends. Where the villa is located is a paradise, very quiet and secluded. Nancy is a horticulturist extraordinaire and loves talking about her hobby. Steve is the cook and will do so for you in the drop of a hat. The 3 rottweilers became our daily visitors and we loved them. You find your eating habits change to a more healthy menu down there, going to the markets for fresh produce and cooking in the well equipt kitchen. We have made new friends and will keep in touch by Facebook and hope to return many times. The only negativity is you must take mosquito spray if they like you, they don't affect everyone. You will never find a more scenic property or more friendly and accommodating hosts. An unbelievable experience at an unbelievable price."

"This is truly an amazing place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica. My family of 5 (3 kids: 9, 15 & 17) stayed here while traveling from the Caribbean Coast (Puerto Viejo) to the Pacific Coast (Dominical) and wanted a half way point to see the mountain/volcano area of the country. Upon arrival we were greeted by Henry (Host/Chef) and immediately fell in love with the surrounding views, amenities of the home and warm hospitality. We ended up canceling our plans to go sight seeing and spent the afternoon relaxing on the patio enjoying the views. Chef Henry prepared an excellent dinner & desert for us (last minute) and we spent the evening playing games and enjoying the company of the host family (at our request). They helped us with laundry and sent us off with a delicious breakfast. We couldn't ask for more!
-Reservation: The owner was the easiest of the 3 rentals we booked in CR (all online and secure).
-Getting there: You will want a GPS and 4x4.
-Regrets: I should have stayed longer
Thank you Libby, Henry, Khrissa and family for making this such a memorable stay for us! I hope we have the opportunity to visit this area again."

"We loved, loved this home. It is so comfortable and roomy. The thing we loved the best was the view off the back porch- Just breathtaking. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens and lots of birds!! The owner has a book of common birds in the area so you can pick out what you are seeing. We saw 17 different birds but there were many more in the book that live in the area. Be sure and bring binoculars!
It is very close to Cartago but you would never know it. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. There is a Walmart close by and many restaurants. We mostly cooked in, though. The caretaker and family is very nice and helpful. The house is close to many attractions we wanted to see so it was a perfect location!!
I highly recommend this property for a relaxing vacation."

"My wife and I along with our two children (11 & 13) travelled to Costa Rica in November of 2014. This was our 3rd trip to Costa Rica (previous was ’08 & ’09). One of our goals on this trip was to spend a bit more time in the Turrialba area and to connect more with locals. Also, as an adventurous family (we have a sea kayak company in British Columbia: www.bcseakayak.com), we were keen to do some river rafting. Finding Jose’s “Natural Paradise” was perfect as it seemed to satisfy all these goals. Initial communication with Jose was clear and concise - and gave us confidence to move ahead with more questions before booking. Since Jose and his brother Sergio are guides, they easily organized a rafting trip for us on the Pacuare River (what a great day!!). Staying at the family farm was not only peaceful and relaxing but it allowed us to connect with a kind and wonderful Costa Rican family. This kind of experience is priceless! In learning my kids love soccer (they brought a soccer ball with them…), Sergio was keen to organize a fun soccer match with some of his friends and my kids. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate, as intense rains shut down the field on both days we tried to play. Regardless, the thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated! Relaxing at Natural Paradise, connecting with the Rivera family, experiencing their kind hospitality and partaking in some well-organized adventures was a highlight of our 2014 trip to Costa Rica."
