"The villa is set in an amazing area of Costa Rica. Perfect weather, insects weren't a problem, amazing botanical gardens surrounding villa and many sights to see and do. The villa is so very charming with attention given to the details. It was clean, bed comfortable, well equipped kitchen. Would go back in a heartbeat! Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Loved to just sit on the veranda to enjoy the beauty but so much out there to do also!"

"We only had 5 days to stay here but wish it had been 50! This place is in perfect condition, furnished with nothing but the best, a spectacular kitchen (and ALL the amenities) and an amazing view on the huge upper deck. The huge locally-made natural wooden doors throughout make it seem like a castle.
The owner is a bird watcher and he gave us much information and photographs to identify the many birds that come to the feeder. We loaded the feeding platforms with plantain and bananas each morning and they would be empty by nightfall.
This is a very peaceful place with access via good roads (can't always say THAT in Costa Rica!). You will need a car. Shopping is nearby and the elevated Walmart is the biggest we've ever seen.
We will definitely return some day, and likely with our daughters and grandkids -- there's room for everybody!"

"Our stay here was such a wonderful experience. The house is roomy and comfortable, the view from the deck is stunning, and Jose and his family are so friendly and helpful. Our family stayed at Jose’s house for about 10 days in Sept 2015 and there was never a dull moment; Always something to do. Jose set up activities for us, such as horseback riding, a trip on the Pejebaye River, and canyoneering which is an adrenaline-charged rappelling descent down the face of several waterfalls!
The house is reached by descending a steep (intimidating) road/driveway, but don’t let that put you off; the roads are gravel (not mud) and some neighbors use only 2wd sedans to go in and out. With a 4wd there will be no problem. The property is surrounded by beautiful forest on all sides so there’s no shortage of bugs and critters (arachnophobes beware) but the upside is you’re surrounded by an explosion of wildlife. You can hike the trails on the property or pass through Jose’s farm to secluded swimming in a nearby stream. There are so many birds; hawks, woodpeckers, toucans, oropendola, hummingbirds, finches, buzzards, egrets, owls, and you can see most of these from the comfortable stone deck that overlooks Jose’s farm and the forests. If you have a passion for bird-watching, Jose has a remarkable knowledge of the local species and can explain the detailed characteristics that set them apart from one another. He’s a pro.
Breakfast was included with the rooms, so you will get a chance to meet Jose’s family when they bring the food each morning. The food is delicious and they are so much fun to have around. We felt very fortunate to get to know them and their energetic children, and other neighbors as well.
We definitely want to go back someday. Altogether, the house, the location, Jose’s family and the neighbors make for a complete vacation package. Don’t miss this opportunity to make new friends and see some of the best Costa Rica has to offer."

"My boyfriend and I visited Turrialba for the weekend and are so happy we stayed here. 10 minutes from Turrialba, high in the mountains there is peace. Henry and his family are excellent hosts and very kind. It was great talking with them (good Spanish practice too)! Henry is a brilliant cook and having the option to eat food in is a great addition to the b&b.
Whilst in the area we visited Golden Bean coffee farm and Guayabo national park, both are places I would recommend.
We will definitely return!"
