  • Fantastic Property - Fantastic Vacation

"Everything I can say has already been written. The reviews are spot on and we appreciate the others before us to write them (we read them and depended on them). This is a spectacular home, with amazing features and views. The staff is truly amazing and provided us with a fantastic, relaxing vacation. One excursion not to be missed is the full day boat tour. We fished (and caught a 60 pound Mahi Mahi), snorkeled, and had an wonderful lunch on a private beach. The staff even prepared Sashimi for us with our fresh catch. We loved every minute of our time in Costa Rica and hope to return soon to this property."

  • Hidden Gem in Paradise

"I am a seasoned traveler, having stayed at many resorts, hotels, private rentals, etc. all over the world for both business and pleasure. We traveled to Barefoot Villa on October 27th, with my wife, daughter and her two university girlfriends for a period of 1 week. We found BV to be everything it was described as, and more. It is set on a dead end road surrounded by lush green trees and flora native to the region, tranquil and quiet, conveniently located close to town and spectacular Guiones Beach. We were treated to the marvelous cooking of Nina; 3 healthy locally inspired meals a day, with fresh meats we purchased at the pescaderia (fish market), and local general market nearby. Everything else was provided prior to our arrival for off the shelf value plus a 20% service fee. Well worth the price and reasonable daily rate (we saved a small fortune by avoiding the restaurant option). We also procured the cleaning services of Laura 3 times during the week (one was included with the rental), which again was well worth the modest rate. Both ladies were well tipped for their awesome efforts. The house itself was spectacular; elegant and practical, with abundant space for the five of us. Angie has taken great care of ensuring all instructions, tips, local contacts, and everyday living details are carefully documented and accessible. We felt at home right away, and comfortably secure with the comprehensive yet easy to use security system. Our method of transportation was private shuttle from and to Liberia Airport, and 2 ATVs rented from David at Harbor Reef Hotel for local daily outings. This provided us with amazing opportunities to get to know the local area and beyond, without having to necessarily stay on the main roads. Angie has negotiated a discount with David's Guiones Beach Gear which made the ATV rentals very reasonable and far cheaper than a local car rental. Barefoot Villa also offers 3 bikes, 2 surfboards and a couple of boogie boards which were well used every day. All in all I would rate Barefoot Villa as one of our very top vacation rentals, in a spectacular and so far secluded region of amazing Costa Rica. We will be going back! I am happy to provide a personal reference, you can get my contact information from Angie."

  • Great House!

"We loved the place, easy access, near everywhere and full amenities. We have stayed many times in Nosara, but this one has been one of the greatest. The place is private, no need to share the pool or common areas with other guests. And the Bajaj is incredible, an extra value for a great stay. Maybe at beginning the fact that you can see cameras in all the outside areas made us free like a big brother like sensation, but you get used to them. We were familiar with the area but I am sure that Dave and Eduardo would do anything you need to get the best experience. We will come back soon!"

  • Casa Delfin At Playa Langosta

"What a great vacation! There were 4 of us and we packed all 10 days as full as we could. The condo was fully equipped with all the essentials of a hotel stay and the kitchen was very well supplied! Previous renters had left a variety of items...foil, salt and pepper, mayo & mustard and a few other things which was nice to have and not have to purchase! We grocery shopped at the Auto Mercado just on the outskirts of Tamarindo several times to be able to cook some meals instead of eating out every time! This was a great money saver as well as not having to get ready to go out into public! The pool is just steps away from the patio. The design of the pool makes it almost private! There are 5 iguanas that live in the very large tree at corner of pool. We kept them fed and hope that they are not hungry this week! One of them is quite friendly and will approach you to get a chunk of watermelon! The beach is a short walk and was rockier than I had pictured in my mind. Having previously stayed at Playa Grande, I just assumed the beach was a big span of sand! It did not keep us from enjoying it, tho. My husband surfed just across the river mouth which is just a short walk/swim away. Thank you Rich for the use of your condo! It was a great vacation!!"
