"I enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo beach. The condo was beautifully outfitted and very comfortable, air conditioning was outstanding. Renee, the Condo manager, was very friendly and helpful, before and during the stay. Her recommendations of tour guides was most appreciated. The only fault I would bring up was the water pressure was terrible, This made showering and getting rid of the fine sand from the beach almost impossible. By the end of our stay I had sand in the bedding that I couldn't get rid off. In hindsight I should have contacted Renee but didn't. I am not sure if she could have helped but I am sure she would have tried. I think that the problem was with the entire complex as they were not watering any of the grass at the grounds even though sprinklers were present. This made the grounds somewhat brown and not as pretty as they could have been. Yes we were there during the dry season.
Although the Condo sleeps 4 it only had living room furniture and dining furniture for 2 which meant the balcony furniture had to be moved in for all of us, a party of 3, to be together. When I had booked the condo the prior pictures showed different furniture that would have actually accommodated 4 people. This was unfortunate as we were constantly moving chairs in and out.
The balcony over the bay was an oasis with the waves crashing against the shore most relaxing.
There are no grocery stores in walking distance of the condo other than a very overpriced convenience store so consider picking up your groceries on the way in if you do not have transportation. Our tour guides that we had on Renee's recommendation were always most helpful with stopping on the way back from a tour to pick up things at a larger grocery store."

"We spent a wonderful week at Casa de Serenidad. The whole place is amazing. To start with of the hosts, Babe and Don are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our unit had the most amazing views perched like an aerie over the Pacific. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen well supplied. The AC sufficient. The unit had a nice private deck to hang out on or have dinner or have a massage. We remember one moonlit night with the surf glowing and lights across the bay twinkling, Breathtaking.
The rest of the property was equally amazing. The architect had some fun. There is a cable bridge between the tops of two of the buildings. What a kick. And a spiral staircase to get down from one of the roofs. Another bit of fun was two hammocks suspended over a wading pool under a ramada on the roof of a building perched over the Pacific. These hammocks were a wonderful place to read. There is space for grilling out. There is an indoor cool Jacuzzi which turned out to be wonderfully refreshing on a hot day!
We highly recommend Casa de Serenidad and we hope that we can return soon."

"Our family of 7 (six adults and our 16 month old grandson) spent a glorious week in this beautiful ocean front home at Playa Potrero! Prior to our trip we traded e-mails with the owner who gave us a lot of valuable information. Rita of Tropical Homes of Costa Rica (property manager) greeted us at her office when we arrived from the airport and escorted us to the home. A notebook in the home had great information about grocery stores, restaurants and activities. This 4 bedroom home (3 kings and 2 twin beds with 3 1/2 baths) was perfect for our group. The kitchen was well equipped as we cooked many meals there. Towels, including beach towels, were provided which was very helpful. The patio and pool area was our favorite place to relax and especially to watch the beautiful Pacific sunsets. We had fabulous food; a lot of restaurants within walking distance. We spent a day paddle boarding at Las Catalinas beach and had a fabulous lunch there as well. The guys chartered a boat for a day of fishing, catching bait as they trolled out of the bay. Some of the group surfed at Tamarindo and we saw a surfing competition at Tamarindo as well. Tropical Homes of Costa Rica created a custom hike close to one of the volcanos, including a mud bath and a delightful swim under a waterfall. We also rode the Monkey Trail (road not as bad as we had heard) and indeed saw monkeys. Our last meal was at the Sugar Beach Hotel where we experienced the most beautiful sunset we had ever seen and the food was absolutely delicious! What a pleasant surprise to meet Angie and Mino. Angie worked very hard to keep our home clean and tidy! Mino was a wonderful gardener, pool caretaker and security guard for us. We were quite pleased with their services!!! We highly recommend this home for your next vacation to Costa Rica!"
