  • Nice house, great location

"Villa Buena Vista is a lovely property in Potrero Costa Rica. Jorge the property manager is very helpful and the directions to the house were great- thanks! Ernesto and Anna Maria(?) his wife are wonderful and are on the property full time to help out, clean, etc. Loved the house dogs- rusty, jack, Skye and I forget the big ones name- they are so friendly and they hung out with us on the deck every day! The house itself is set up on a hillside with amazing views, 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths and 1 half bath. Can walk to the beach but it is about a 1/4 mile so we drove- beaches are nice and pretty private. The house has a pool which we used every day- covered cabana, table & chairs and barbecue at the pool site. Birds all over and beautiful parrots everyday. Monkeys too! Only suggestions I would make- can use some new pots and pans for cooking - they are old and the non stick is pretty much all worn off. Need a new toaster too- it started sparking and did not toast well! Overall a nice place to stay Air conditioning in the bedrooms but not the living areas, however there are ceiling fans and even though the temperature was in the 90s during the day, it was much cooler in the morning and evening, besides who spends time in the house when outside is awesome! We spent all our time on the deck enjoying the view and birds. Table and chairs on the deck so we always ate out there. Potrero is nice and quiet and a short 30 minute drive to Tamarindo if you feel the need to see a real touristy beach town and Playa Flamingo is a short 10 minute drive- smaller than Tamarindo but still enough restaurants, shops and bars"

  • Cindi B

"The six of us ladies just got back from a week at the most beautiful beach. Our villa had a view that can never be outdone. We spent hours just sitting in the pool and on the large deck staring out at the Pacific Ocean. The location of the villa is second to none on that entire beach. And of course, thanks to house manager (Oli), we were able to do many truly memorable activities. Oli was able to set us up with great events and people, maximizing the entire Costa Rican experience. We all could not have been happier with the location, the view and the staff!!! Great time had by all."

  • Everything we wanted and more!

"Right from the start this place exceeded our expectations. Kalli was amazing to deal with and very helpful in ensuring all of our questions were answered. We arrived at the condo very late and when we woke up in the morning the location took our breath away. The beach and ocean in front of the condo was much better than the pictures showed. The condo was beautiful, clean and everything we wanted was there. Kalli's information book in the condo and the information she sent prior to our trip was perfect. The sunsets from the deck with a glass of wine in the evening were spectacular after a long day of adventures. The Shack, the Beach House and Coco Loco's are must go to places for food. Everyone in our group are foodies and we were not disappointed with either place. We initially rented bikes and then upgraded to golf cart as it was to hot for us to bike everywhere. The golf cart was a perfect way to experience the local area, we even made a couple very long trips to Tamarindo :) Our next trip we will rent a vehicle to get inland a bit more but would def. recommend the golf cart to travel locally. If you are a diver I would highly recommend the Aqua Centre in Flamingo. Sailing on the Panache (first class), Surfing in Playa Grande. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and will not be our last. We are already discussing our return trip and planning to spend a month as we found 16 days was not enough time to see this beautiful country. Again thank you Kalli for this wonderful place and we returning to the House of Summer sand in the very near future."

  • Amazing Vacation at Casa Playa Bonita!!

"My family of 4 travels really well with 3 other families/amazing friends of ours. This was our 2nd annual Spring Break shared Vacation. There is no way I will be able to say enough about what an incredible time we all had at Casa Playa Bonita. Where do I start? Lisa is so prompt and pleasant and made planning our trip a breeze. She and Yoko answered all of our questions immediately. Yoko will book your transportation and any day trips, she will make reservations for dinner, she is available to answer any questions at any time before and during your stay. When I called, she picked up. We were taken care of. Herman and Blanca were a dynamic duo for sure. Blanca is one stealth woman! She was like a ghost. We bought tons of fruit and she would cut it for us every morning and set it out without anyone seeing her. Any time we would try and wash a glass or dish she would stop us. She cleaned our rooms every day and I swear I rarely ever saw her! Herman and Blanca have perma-grins and they are wonderful human beings. Make sure you arrange at least one dinner cooked for you. They made us the BEST Tuna we've ever had. Even the non seafood eaters tried it and loved it! Casa Playa Bonita is a perfectly designed home. 4 families, 14 people and there was plenty of privacy when needed. Best location, gorgeous sunsets, steps to the beach, a quick walk to Coco Loco's. It's like you have your own private resort. Coffee every morning looking out at the ocean, listening to birds and watching dragonflies buzz by was so incredibly relaxing. We rented sea-do's down the beach, kayaked and paddle AND boogie boarded right in front of the house. Fish would swim between our legs and the kids saw a sting ray. There were no vendors bugging you on the beach, it's super mellow and GORGEOUS. White sand and clear water. Yoko set us up with a 4 wheel/canopy tour and everyone had a great time. So much so that the kids decided to go on a 4 wheeling guided tour later in the week to ride again. We swam in the pool for hours and took advantage of the kiddie pool to float because we have no little ones. I want to be floating right now! Read the house book that Lisa will provide front to back. Everything you need is in there. We cooked in the amazing kitchen, went to Angelina's for dinner (tried octopus and LOVED) and there were daily walks to Coco Loco's for a coco loco served in a coconut. YES! I want to write more and I'm being cut off so....JUST GO. We can't wait to return. Pura Vida!!"
