  • Good secluded place for some peace and quiet

"Beautiful setting! Loved having coffee and tea on the veranda. Nicely setup roomy condo. It was great to have a washer and dryer as we got some refreshed clothes mid-trip. Some tour guides (though older) were available. Nice neighbors--we lost power due to a storm--luckily they called the power company to get things in motion to get this fixed quickly. Ed was helpful, meeting us to handover the keys. Nice Italian place and breakfast place a couple of miles South. Bed wasn't the most comfortable, and didn't quite feel like home. Would have been nice if there was aan active phone. All in all, good place and would go there again."

  • A piece of heaven

"We were a group of 8 women, over 60, who were looking for something a little different from your normal Caribbean vacation. We definitely found it in Costa Rica and at Villa Encantada. This villa is unbelievable. It is so comfortable, settling in is easy, yet had the air of a resort. The house is wonderful and the grounds indescribable. We had our very own pool, complete with water slide, and our own island in the middle of a pond stocked with fish. There are trails throughout the 40 acre properly and even waterfalls. The 2 resident peacocks greeted us upon arrival and visited us daily. We loved hearing the howler monkeys 'barking' every morning, reminding us we were surrounded by the jungle. We ventured out a few days during our week to go to a spa, go zip lining, and on a boat tour of Lake Arenal, but really would have been happy to just stay at the villa. This house would also be good for children of all ages. During our week, we had the pleasure of having Chef Natalie cook dinner for us 3 times. She was wonderful. The food was great and quite inexpensive. Her presentation was fabulous. Most of Natalie's food was homegrown, organic and as fresh as it gets. We truly experienced "farm to table". She brings a helper and they do everything, including clean-up. We cannot say enough about Glenn, the owner of the property. He was just a phone call away at all times and always checked on us after one of our excursions. We feel like we truly made a new friend in Glenn. Even during our planning stages, months before, he never hesitated to answer the many questions we had. Thanks Glenn, for everything."

  • Fantastic Experience

"This was our 2nd trip to Costa Rica, but this time we brought along my mother in law (77 years old) and two boys (2 years old and 18 years old). The property was amazing with fantastically decorated rooms and unbelievable views. Candace was very helpful when working with us to plan the perfect experience for our family. Velma greeted us each morning with a fantastic breakfast and steaming hot coffee. Alex took us on horseback rides through the rainforest which included the Macadamia Nut Farm. This house was built to provide for large families or groups, but cozy enough for our party of 5. This home is the perfect vacation spot for anyone wishing to experience Costa Rica since it is so convenient to Nuevo Arenal (my most favorite town in Costa Rica!!!), zip line adventures, Arenal Hanging Bridges, Eco Termales, ect. We had a fantastic time!!! :)"

  • A hidden gem with Lake access!

"We, a party of 6, stayed at Stephanie and Ron's beautiful gem for a total of 13 nights. We loved the layout and space available to us, especially the big living room/kitchen area and the deck. Getting to it at night can be challenging since the "Turtle Cove" sign is partially damaged. Jorge, the property manager, was kind enough to wait for our delayed arrival because we got lost a few times. :) Unfortunately, the weather wasn't that great but the never-ending winds were just right for the die-hart windsurfers amongst us. It's important though to let new tenants know that the road to the property is a dirt road so that people can make decisions about the type of car and car insurance to get when coming to stay here. Nevertheless, it was an okay enough road with a regular car. Thank you again, Stephanie and Ron, for letting us stay at your beautiful property! We would definitely recommend this place this to others who want to stay near Ticowinds or who do not mind driving 45 min to see the volcano, go on hikes, or enjoy the hot springs."
