"Beautiful setting! Loved having coffee and tea on the veranda. Nicely setup roomy condo. It was great to have a washer and dryer as we got some refreshed clothes mid-trip. Some tour guides (though older) were available.
Nice neighbors--we lost power due to a storm--luckily they called the power company to get things in motion to get this fixed quickly.
Ed was helpful, meeting us to handover the keys.
Nice Italian place and breakfast place a couple of miles South.
Bed wasn't the most comfortable, and didn't quite feel like home. Would have been nice if there was aan active phone.
All in all, good place and would go there again."

"My boyfriend and I decided to take our January vacation in Costa Rica. Not only was this our first time traveling to CR, but also our first time using VRBO. We were very nervous but we had no issues using VRBO and we got our full deposit back the day we left the property-so if you have any concerns, don't!
When choosing our property, we wanted a mix of good tourist area where we would feel comfortable with things to do but without the super touristy resort like feel. With this property and area, I feel like we accomplished that! The night we arrived, Franklin showed us to the property. Both him and Ricardo are very nice and accessible. Whenever we contacted Ricardo, either before or during our trip, he was very quick to respond via phone call or email! He was also very helpful with recommending things to do etc.
The house itself is also great- it is located in a gated area, which made me feel safe and secure. A car is definitely needed for this property, preferably a 4 wheel drive or SUV (something with some clearance) as the roads in CR are not all fully paved. We managed fine with a sedan but would have felt better in an SUV, especially in the rain. (Also, most activities and such are definitely driving distance) The house was great with a master bedroom/bath and deck upstairs; another bedroom/bath downstairs; kitchen with utensils/bowls/etc; another deck off the living room which is gives you amazing sunset views!
The nearby town Nuevo Arenal (5 minute drive) has a grocery store, a bank and numerous restaurants with CR food, Italian, American and German food (so a great variety). The Windcatcher and German bakery were great breakfast spots. Los Platillos, Moyas and Tinajas (Tinajas is 5 min out of town on the lake) are great for lunch and dinner!
As far as activities, we drove to La Fortuna (35 minute drive) to see the waterfalls, go zip lining, hot springs, hanging bridges and hiking.
DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this property with Ricardo!"

"We've had many trips to Costa Rica and this property is one of our favorites. Initial booking and communication was excellent and friendly. Ed, the Property Manager was great on our arrival and was very helpful in getting us settled away. A nice touch is the extra supplies that were available and the house is very well equipped. This is a great location as it is very quiet and the Las Flores community is very well maintained. Morning coffee watching the birds was a treat and we enjoyed several evening meals on the patio. There were 5 of us on this trip and the house was comfortable and spacious. The local artwork and very well stocked library were also very enjoyable. Overall this is a very well maintained and managed property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Recommended local restaurants include Las Tijanas, Gingerbread and Moya's Place all of which are well worth a visit. There is a very nice walk around the property by the pond that is great for spotting some of the local birds and frogs. Don't hesitate to book this property."

"This was my second visit to Villa Encantada! After the first visit in 2010, my daughter decided this was the place to get married! We returned with a group of 30+. The bridal party(14) stayed at the Villa and Glenn helped to place the rest of us in properties close by, including his sister's house up the hill. The whole event could not have been better! Let me say that Glenn is a great guy and incredible host! If you want to experience the best of Costa Rica, stay with Glenn at the Villa! The grounds are as beautiful as the pictures indicate and you can be entertained right on the property. The Tabacon Lodge and Skywalk at Volcanoes National Park are under one hour drive. Shopping and dining in Nuevo Arenal has a true Tico feel and much better than dealing with the big tourist towns. Pura Vida! Thank you Glenn!"
