  • Fantastic Vacation in this Beautiful Home

"I spent a week in this beautiful location in April. The house was very clean and equipped with everything needed for our great vacation. The setting was spectacular ... I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the large porch watching and listening to the birds. I have never seen so many colorful birds in any location I visited ... my favorites were the toucans. I am prone to insect bites, so I was worried whether I'd have a problem here. I didn't get bit at all ... yay!! This was surprising to me since we were right in the tree tops looking out at a fabulous array of trees, plants and flowers. There are numerous adventures near this property and we took advantage of it! We went zip lining, walked on the hanging bridges, visted the hot mineral springs, hiked down to a waterfall, had a massage ... wonderful! The restaurants nearby were great also. I especially liked Gingerbread and Moya's. I would highly recommend this house .... beautiful ... surpassed my expectations!!"

  • Pictures do not do this place justice!!!

"We arrived here on December 23rd and stayed until January 6th. As we were on our way to the cottage, we kept saying " Oh man, I hope our view is this pretty." Much to our surprise...the view is more than we ever expected. WOW. It is more beautiful than anywhere we've ever stayed. The house was perfect. We went to Nuevo Arenal to the grocery store about 5 minutes away and bought food for our stay. We cooked out on the grill and had wonderful dinners with the windows open and the perfect breeze coming in. It was amazing! We drove into La Fortuna almost everyday for our excursions and it was about an hour each way which didn't bother us because the drive is so beautiful. It took us about 3-1/2 hours to get to Jaco where we went for New Year's Eve. All the roads are great any way you go around the lake. We loved the peaceful nights and the coffee in the early mornings. I was very appreciative for the washer & dryer lol. Being there for 2 weeks and we definitely needed it. Thank you Dan for allowing us to enjoy your home. We can't even begin to express how wonderful you made our honeymoon by letting us use your house. The hammock was so relaxing to just lay and read and take a nap. OMGoodness I could not say enough about this place. Breath Taking. We are definitely spreading the word about this little piece of Heaven. Thanks again."

  • Wonderful Place to Relax

"We began our 8 night journey to Costa Rica with a 3 night stay in Casa Grande at the Arenal Springs Villas by the Lake. We loved so many aspects about our stay but I will highlight the following-amazing view, well-appointed and very large home, super accommodating owners, and a comforting sense of security. Tom and Maria were gracious and helpful hosts at all points in the pre-arrival and during our stay. I would highly recommend!"

  • Beautiful property and home

"A group of 10 of us enjoyed staying on this property. Though two nights was not enough to truly experience all the area has to offer. This was our fist time to Costa Rica. We wanted a couple days inland near Arenal to see that side of the country. The house: somewhat rustic style, very clean and well-maintained. Very spacious for such a large group, which suited us nicely. Great outdoor patio overlooking the property. We liked to cook for ourselves, the kitchen had everything we needed. The property manager and gardener were so friendly and nice to work with and talk to. The property: so many acres to explore! We enjoyed walking the grounds and looking for various fruits, plants, etc. We were able to pick our own oranges and lemons for fresh squeezed juice! I wish the pineapple and other fruits were ripe when we were there. My favorite place is the platform being built at the highest point of the property. It was a beautifully constructed wood structure (outdoor yoga studio?) with an amazing view of the sunset over the lake. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area, removed from any touristy spots. Location: As others have mentioned, the road to get to the driveway is very bumpy, 4x4 is definitely a must. About a 15 minute drive to Nuevo Arenal and an hour (or less?) to Arenal activities and La Fortuna. It was a wonderful area to visit and see the culture there. Driving around the area includes amazing views of the lake, farms, pastures and rural communities. It was a nice break from the busier tourist areas on the Coast. Activities: We liked to plan our own adventures and not be on time constraints. So we enjoyed the Arenal Hanging Bridges and enjoyed Tico food in La Fortuna. We ended up not making it to the Hot Springs, but hope to try another time. I'd definitely return and stay here again. The price is right, as is the location. I'd just add a little more time to be able to try more restaurants and other activities. Thank you, Bret!"
