"We arrived at Montelaguna Residence on February 1st, 2015 and departed March 31st. This condo unit is one of the most beautifully appointed, well-equipped condos that we have ever had the good fortune to stay in. There is every available kitchen utensil, bath towels or any other amenity you can imagine. The beds are comfortable and the layout of this condo is superb. Because of the beautiful long balcony accessed by the master bedroom, living room and dining room sliding doors, made the use of the air continuing unnecessary. Beautiful stainless steel appliances including an ice-maker water maker fridge which we found quite useful. Great supply of reading material, movies to watch and cd's to play. All in all, with the addition of the huge private pool and with the luxury of choosing Samara Beach or Carillo beach which are only a stones throw away, this property was pure bliss. And for the above reasons, that's why we have already booked this unit for next year!"

  • Great stay at Casa Chili

"We had great stay in this house. It worked well for us as we were 2 couples holidaying together. The perfect amount of privacy for us. I would highly recommend a vehicle we are young and adventurous but if we would have walked to the beach we wouldn't have been walking home. It's too hot to walk that far packing all your beach stuff. House was equipped with the basics for cooking. Pool was excellent for an early morning swim and a late afternoon or evening swim. Flapjack was an excellent greetor we enjoyed his visits. (Local dog) Linda and Scott were very helpful with directions and information. If your looking for a fishing trip Jamie recommended Viber he was terrific we will fish with him again. It was an adventure going to locate him. Very fun. We would definitely stay in this house again. Could use better/comfy loungers by the pool 4. We left 2 boogie boards that we bought so people can use them. It was lots of fun. The monkeys, iguanas and huge grasshoppers made you feel like you were in the jungle. I would highly recommend this house and location for your Costa rican adventure."

  • Best spot in Nosara

"We (along with two other couples) had the pleasure of staying at Ginger Powers' Rancho Authentico for a week. We arrived after dark from Liberia, and Ginger was there to greet us and show us around. When we woke up the next morning, we couldn't believe it -- breathtaking beach, sunshine galore, and all of the beach amenities you could want -- lounge chairs, towels, outdoor shower, it was fantastic. Photos don't do it justice. It's bigger and better than the photos (and the photos look really fabulous). Before our trip, Ginger was very responsive on e-mail and helped us connect with local fruit/meat vendors who were able to deliver food before we arrived. There's a new gas range in the house that worked great, as did the blender for fruity cocktails. The craziest thing about this place is how quiet and un-touristy Playa Garza is. Many days, we were the only people on the beach. We felt as though we had an entire cove to ourselves. There were several funky beach bars that we could walk to at night (again - NO crowds and amazing star gazing). Playa Giones is a short 10 minute car ride away for more restaurants and shops. And, you can catch a boat for a fishing trip right there on the beach. We did several excursions, but also entertained ourselves in the water by body surfing and boogie boarding. The waves at Garza are tame enough for recreational swimming -- occasionally, the waves were good enough for actual surfing. But Guiones and its big surf was so close, it's not a big deal to travel where you want. Plaza Garza is VERY clean. Clean beach, clean water, no signs of pollution, jelly fish, etc. It's a PERFECT beach! We are still dreaming about this place and need to figure out when we can return. A couple of things we noted for future travelers: Bring ear plugs if road noise or high wind noise bothers you. We had a couple of very windy nights at the house with almonds/coconuts falling on the tin roof most of the night. Also, the house is right off the village road, and rush hour in Costa Rica is much earlier than in the U.S. (think, 5:30a.m.). Since the house is open-air, all of these sounds travel right into the house. Also, bring plenty of sunscreen if you don't want to fry (we ran out of sunscreen on the last day -- oops!). Ginger -- We will be back!"

  • Wonderful home, Wonderful Area

"This Villa was just the ticket for our two families (one with 1 child, the other with 3 children). We enjoyed a lot of surfing. The close proximity to the beach (5 minute walk) made it easy for everyone to go back and forth with ease on their own schedule with their own gear. The layout of the house also gave both families their own privacy but were able to come together nicely in the common areas. The house has all the necessities, is well decorated and has beautifully done landscaping. All this made for very relaxing times at the house either near the pool or on one of the two porches. Lots of wildlife around the house. The location is great. Close walk to couple restaurants. We rented golf carts, although not a necessity, this broadened our reach quite a bit. Can walk to everything, but transportation is nice if you wish to explore area. We all felt very safe in this house and in the area in general. Activities: We enjoyed surfing-took lessons and rented boards-utilized aqua tibia, coconut harry's, and the one on the corner near beach access, took nice quad tour with monkey quads, and had much success fishing with fishing nosara. Really enjoyed trying out the different restaurants in the guiones area, had some really good meals. All in all, this property provides a great foundation for a great vacation!"
