"We just got back from a wonderful vacation in Costa Rica and a beautiful stay at Crystal Sands Condo. Annette and Tom have thought about everything a family would need in their home away from home. This condo was absolutely beautiful and fully equipped. We had five adults and we had plenty of room. The large deck that overlooked the ocean was a perfect place for starting your day with a leisurely breakfast, watching the humming birds, and then watching the spectacular sunsets every evening. The pool and hot tub were very clean and well maintained. We walked into Tamarindo each day and the route was lit at night. There are two markets within walking distance where we could pick up groceries. Lola at RPM was very helpful and responsive and we appreciated her coordinating our shuttle from the airport and then back again."

"This was truly a week in paradise, I only wish we had booked a longer stay! The house was perfect for our 2 families of 4, everyone had their own space but the house also offers plenty of room for us all to eat together, or lounge on the patio or yard. Beach access is right out the back door, to a long, wide uncrowded beach. Sunsets up on top of the "Rock" were fun for the kids (15-23).Plenty of patio furniture and beach lounges to enjoy the outdoors. We saw one turtle on the beach one night, though it wasn't nesting season! The orange and purple crabs are everywhere - it became a nightly ritual of shooing the crabs out of the courtyard (Not an easy task without hurting them)so they wouldn't scurry into our rooms when the doors were opened! All part of the jungle life, it didn't bother us at all. Water pressure in the house is really low at times, but there is a drought right now so it was no problem for us to deal with. House water is safe to drink, we had no problems. We had Kimberly cook 3 dinners for us - she is not only a great cook (Her Arroz con Pollo is amazing!) but she is very helpful in answering questions about the house and the area in general. Taco stand just down the block is great, Bula Bula has a really nice dinner in a beautiful setting, but the stand out meal was at Café del Pueblo, the small restaurant on the left as you're heading out of Playa Grande. Not to miss!
We booked an Adventure Tour through Frijoles Locos (Corynne is so nice and very helpful!) at Rincon de la Vieja. $85/pp if you drive yourself, which is a very easy 1 3/4 drive away. It included awesome ziplining through gorgeous river gorge, horseback riding (I would skip this part - unimpressive) and whitewater river tubing - the highlight of or whole trip! Also amazing hot springs and mud bath, and a great buffet lunch. Awesome day, I would HIGHLY recommend!
Overall, the house exceeded our expectations. Just remember that you are in a beach house in the jungle so there are critters and sand everywhere. Relax and enjoy! PURA VIDA"

"We spent a week at Playa Flamingo and stayed in #6 condo at the Palms. The condo was awesome in every respect: Clean, comfortable, well stocked, luxurious. The views were great and the location can't be beat (right on the beach). Owner was responsive and very helpful. He suggested a charter boat for offshore fishing, which turned out to be three amazing days on the water. We caught sailfish, roosterfish, tuna, mahi and to top it all off we caught a 250# and 1000# blue marlin. That's not a misprint, the "grander" was a record fish for the boat after 28 years chartering in Costa Rica. I will definitely be back and would not hesitate to stay here again. I also had my wife and two kids, age 8 and 14. They too loved the place."

"just visited Costa Rica with 7 of my friends. We stayed at casa bali for 10 days traveling from phoenix Arizona U.S.A. we had an amazing time and the house fit all 7 of us comfortably. the outdoor space with the pool is great. The kitchen is very well equipped and comes in handy and having a washer and dryer available at all times is a plus. It is perfectly located in walking distance from the beach but also a very short drive from Tamarindo. Christi was great with directions and quick to respond to any questions we had and the house keeper Lazaro is also very helpful and friendly both at just a phone call away. We are missing the monkey noises in the morning and the iguanas in our front yard we will be sure to visit casa bali again."
