  • Most wonderful and relaxing vacation I have ever had!!!

"There isn't much more to say than has already been said....this is a little slice of heaven in a single vacation! The accommodations are wonderful, the view every day is breathtaking, and the surrounding beaches are wonderful to explore and experience. Carl and Kathy are the perfect hosts, able to advise you on all things Nosara. As several have stated before...leave 1/2 your clothes at home and prepare to relax!"

  • Beautiful Nosara & lovely house

"We spent 10 wonderful days in Nosara in January. The house Paraisito, formerly Green Fish, was a lovely, spacious home with everything you need (only thing missing was a kettle). It was in a quiet neighbourhood (except for the Howlers in the mornings, which we enjoyed) and was walking distance to Playa Pelada beach. There was a washer and dryer which was very convenient, good Wifi and lots of TV stations. There were visiting ants at night in the house, which is to be expected in the jungle, and we just swept them outside. The roads are rough to drive but you get used to it & it's well worth the trip! You don't have to have a car to get around but it would have been a long walk to Guionnes, so we would recommend a car or renting a jungle cart. We were there in the dry season, so the main road is quite dusty from the dirt road, so again for us the car was better. We loved La Luna restaurant on Pelada beach, Harmony Hotel in guionnes (restaurant, juice bar and yoga), swimming at either Pelada or Guionnes beach (Guionnes is busier) - the ocean temperature is warmest ever! Not to be missed is the tour of the Nosara Refuge for Wildlife with Brenda - she is doing amazing work & is truly inspiring! We had a relaxing stay at Paraisito and Virginie the property manager was always available if needed. Highly recommended."

  • Beach paradise

"We are super sad to leave this beach paradise. We had quite an adventure. Got lost getting here from the airport, mostly my fault. We were racing the sunset and should have just stayed the night in Liberia. Thought I had it covered but missed the turn onto 150. We pressed on until after dark and found ourselves in Samara. Glad we didn't press on from there. We met a wonderful innkeeper from Bolonga Italy and had a fine time. We managed to get our rental car stuck in a river crossing the following morning, and a helpful stranger from Switzerland pulled us out with his 4x4 and coached me through after. Virginie is so nice and this area is beautiful, your cottage is in a perfect location. The locals and displaced foreigners here are so hospitable and friendly. We knew from our last trip, but were still pleasantly surprised by the warmth of our Ticos hosts. We even had a neighbor dog with the same name as ours that helped us not miss our Daisy dog. In spite of water being rationed, a power outage and an earthquake, really an earthquake, getting lost, stuck in river, flight cancelation and delay, we are coming back. We are glad we chanced upon your cottage and look forward to staying here again."

  • Wonderful vacation home on a beautiful beach.

"We fully agree with all the previous positive reviews, so will not repeat them. A couple of small hiccups during our stay - wi-fi was limited to the pool area, we had several hours without power, and no water for half a day (thus 4 stars, not 5), but we still plan to return when we can. It's a great location, pleasant people, and all in all a very enjoyable vacation experience."
