Another Amazing Vacation
"This is the second time I've stayed at The Jungle Beach House. It's a great place for a large extended family to enjoy a quiet, relaxing vacation. The Jungle Beach House had several buildings with bedrooms so everyone had a little space. The most popular bedrooms in our crowd were in the air-conditioned building. The pool house had two bedrooms but no air-conditioning, just fans. It tended to get hot in the afternoon, but the rooms cooled off at night. There was some trouble with biting ants in the pool house, but bug spray helped. There were several "more primitive" beds and bedrooms in the Rancho that had fans and mosquito netting to help protect the occupants from nasty bugs. The on-site pool with the convenient lounge chairs and shade was wonderful and the beach was a short walk from the Rancho. Marta, was a wonderful cook and gracious "hostess" during our stay. She took care of our needs and made suggestions on the best places to purchase food. While her English and our Spanish was limited, the Spanish/English dictionary in the Rancho helped us communicate. The Jungle Beach House is within walking distance to some restaurants, surf shops and a small store and within a short drive to other great restaurants in the area. It helps to have a car when staying there, but there was some "taxi" service available via 3-wheelers. The dusty dirt roads in the area made us glad we had a good air-conditioned SUV and weren't exposed to breathing the dust. Overall, this is a great place to relax. Once you "settle in", it's hard to get motivated to leave the compound."

"Heartwaves 2 proved the perfect homebase for a group of five of us (two couples and one single person) who were in Nosara for a too-short trip. Jane was very responsive from the start and continued to be throughout the booking process, arrival, and our stay. The house itself is beautiful -- the perfect size for the five of us with ample patio space, plenty of room to doze off in the shade or sun in the afternoon, a pool in which to cool off, a grill for cooking dinner and dining outside. Though not in the heart of the small town of Nosara, everything was easily within walking distance, and access to the beach is especially close (five-minute walk or so). This all served to make us feel like we were truly away from it all - but there is nothing inconvenient about the location. Everything in the house is in perfect working order, including air conditioning, kitchen, security system. The kitchen is particularly well-stocked if you're the type to cook. And Jane, in addition to being so helpful and responsive, is also so lovely. When I go back to Nosara, I will absolutely try again to stay at Heartwaves."

"We recently spent the day with Virginia at Rancho Authentico shooting images for a catalog, and had the most amazing experience. She was so kind and accommodating. The home itself is stunning, and the location can't be beat.
Such a beautiful location with the helpful/friendly hosts...highly recommended!"

"We spent 4 weeks in the sun enjoying the local Nosara food, people, and two stunning beaches and sightseeing up and down the coast and central Costa Rica. Casa Ventana is ideally located between the touristy area and the local downtown providing a mix of all we wanted to do. We loved listening to the Howler monkies while drinking coffee on the porch early in the mornings and again while drinking martinis on the porch late afternoon. We would recommend renting a car at the airport but be prepared for the inescapable, high rental insurance costs."
