  • Vacation Paradise

"Our family stayed here to celebrate our kids high school and college graduations. The house is amazing, every bit as beautiful as the photos, and super clean. The kitchen is well equipped if you wish to make your own meals. The house manager Fabrice was very helpful arranging all kinds of activities and services and with any questions about the house and surrounding area during our stay.We had arranged the welcome package (dinner and breakfast first day) from Chef Pas Cam prior to arrival which was a great way to start our vacation. The food was very fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the meals so much we arranged another dinner by Pas Cam later in the week. The house is close to the beach, Playa Blanc, a short walk and it seems like a private beach. During the week we had it to ourselves most days. Its a great beach for shelling and sea glass collection at low tide and fun for bogie boards (which they have for use at the house) at higher tide. At the top of the bluff over the beach is a hotel which is the best place to watch a sunset and have a cocktail. The pool are is beautiful and there's lots of comfy outdoor furniture for lounging. The kids loved the hammock and I like that there was a covered area by the pool for sun protection. There are tons of activities in the area...we did a hiking trip at the volcano Rincon which included two waterfalls and then a trip to hot springs for mud bath and soak. We enjoyed the trip but it is a strenuous hike so be advised (not for small children). We also took an ATV ride lots of fun! We saw howler monkeys on that trip (which we heard from the house sometimes). We went to Playa Avellenas, another beautiful beach with a fantastic restaurant that looks out on the beach. There were some local crafts being sold on the beach there too. Theres another fantastic five star restaurant in Playa Negra Villa Deveena that we enjoyed on our trip. We walked and biked (they have four at the house) into the little town (about 10 mins) to Amigos Restaurant and to get a few things at grocery. I would absolutely recommend this house to friends and family and would love to return ourselves someday! Thank you Fabrice, Patie, Pascal and Camille and Dulce too for a great vacation!"

  • Amazing Property!!!

"Our family stayed in this two bedroom condo for 10 nights in February. The condo is beautifully decorated and well equiped - it lacks nothing. It far exceeded our expectations. The pool and grounds were always maintained. Our children (15 and 10) loved the facilities and the close proximity to the beach. This corner unit was quiet and felt very private (for a condo). It has a beautiful patio/lanai with easy access to the pool and great views of the ocean. I highly recommend this property and cannot wait to come back."

  • blissful, beautiful and private!

"The pictures of the house do not begin to do it justice. You walk in to a lovely panoramic view of a 2 story high living room with stunning wooden ceiling and 2 story glass windows on either side of the house. The master bedroom is lovely with a wall of glass and private patio looking out on a view of the ocean and mountains. The master shower is a luxuriously large glass shower. The kitchen is suitable for a serious cook. It has almost every cooking dish and utensil you can think of and a few spices. Outside there is a sink, gas grill and pizza oven. The house is kept very clean by the maid who showed up for us Mon-Sat. We didn't notice any bugs inside the house (very important since I saw reviews of other houses where bugs were a problem). The pool was also well kept with little to no odor of chlorine. The location of the house is great since it is up on a hill and gets a good breeze. After a long hot day, the pool is nice and cool with that breeze and there's nothing nicer than relaxing by the pool and taking in the stunning view. Another appealing feature of this house is the Blue Water Properties Concierge Service. They were very helpful by recommending the best restaurants, shopping, sightseeing and tours so we didn't have to waste any time hunting around. There is a beach (beautiful with very few people) close by (maybe 1km?) along with a little restaurant on the beach. But most of the shopping, restaurants and grocery stores are about 20 minutes away. The concierge service also arranged a cook for us on the last night. The food was fabulous. She did a great job and it was the perfect ending for our trip. If you need a broadband connection, I did a speedtest and it was about 286KB/100KB. This means that your emails and wifi calling will work fine, but streaming videos or gaming is highly doubtful. Although 2 of our party were able to get low quality video skype working. We did see a group of howler monkeys. They didn't bother us at all, and the wall of windows in almost every room allowed us to take some very close up photos without scaring them off. The other visitors we enjoyed every morning and evening were martins. There was an array of beautiful birds that we thoroughly enjoyed. The house is private, secure and quiet inside of a gated community. I highly recommend this house and Blue Water Properties in general."

  • Perfect spot!

"My wife, five year old daughter and I spent twelve days at this villa and it was fantastic. The villa is clean, quiet and secure. All the windows and doors seal tightly keeping out the bugs which made my wife very happy! The master bed was incredibly comfortable, something you don't encounter very often down there. The beach is literally a two minute walk. It is perfect for young kids and has consistently great waves. The pool is clean and shaded during the mid day which is great for catching a break from the rays. This was our sixteenth vacation to Costa Rica and this villa is an absolute gem. We'll definitely be back next year!"
