"We spent a week at villa Casa de la Cascada as we were a group of 12 people and one baby. The house was beyond our expectations! The view is stunning and the house is comfortable and well maintained. We booked three activities and had a cook prepare meals for us twice a day. The activities were:
1. Deep Sea Fishing
2. Hiking in Ricon de la Vieja
The management communicated with us well before our arrival and made sure to respond to all our requests. They booked transportation to and from the airport which allowed is to feel safe on our arrival. Special thanks to all the staff including the maid and gardener!"

"Great location on the cliffs looking over the pacific ocean. The 'jungle' leading down from the house to the ocean also happens to have several troops of monkeys that swing thru the trees from time to time.
Anna and Freddy, the care takers are wonderful additions to the property. Anna is a very good cook, charming and gracious, she keeps the place feeling homey and clean. The pool over looking the ocean is great. The house, great. Playa Carillo, great. There is not much written about the near by beach but it is very idyllic and highly recommended. Very few people; water can be a little bit rough occasionally; the water temp. is just a couple degrees cooler than the air; All in all very beautiful. Stay at Casa de la Loma you will have a great vacation."

"We took a risk that paid off! We scheduled our trip in October even though it’s rainy season in Costa Rica. With a total of 9 people (5 children), we knew as soon as we rolled up the driveway to Casa Juliana we were in paradise! The screened in terrace was spacious and provided a perfect place to lounge, watch the kids swim, eat, play games and generally relax at any time of day or night BUG FREE. Bring your favorite playlist as the sound system is perfect for creating an impromptu dance floor.
Everyone had very comfortable and clean bedroom space, fully functional and clean bathroom facilities, and the décor and cleanliness made this house feel like a home. Since it was rainy season, some of the local restaurants were closed, but between the fully equipped kitchen and the bar/BBQ grill we had some great in-house meals. Georgina shopped for us and since we had a birthday in our group, she set up decorations and a birthday cake for our arrival (per our request). Such a nice surprise for the 10 yr old birthday girl in our group.
Much of our time at the casa was spent in the pool or at the beach, which was an easy walk from the property. Make sure to bring some kind of floatation device. The undertow is serious. We made a short drive south for the San Juanillo Wildlife tour and the group got to swim with a Ridley turtle out in the open water – most memorable for our group. Other nearby adventures included the Pinilla Zip Line and a Palo Verde River tour. So many great things so very close to “home”. The air conditioning and pool were such a nice welcome home on the big adventure days. There were also several nice Tico restaurants within a few minutes’ drive as well easy access to the Junquillal grocery store.
Our first visit to Costa Rica was in 1999, and although Tamarindo has evolved and grown, Playa Junquillal provides the Costa Rican experience that we longed for, and Casa Juliana was the perfect place for all of our needs and wants. Our one complaint if you can call it that was that we ran out of black pepper and couldn’t replace it. I would say that equates to a highly successful vacation and one we look forward to repeating. Casa Juliana far exceeded our expectations."

"This was our first trip to CostaRica and I am so glad we chose Tamarindo and to stay in Bocaraca! Joel is absolutely awesome and really went out of his way for us.. Bocaraca is a perfect location in the town of Tamarindo. It's a 2 minute walk to all the restaurants and beach and it really is a very nice place to stay! The howler monkeys around the property are an added bonus as well. Thanks again Joel for everything!!! Pura Vida!"
