"Casa Miramar was a perfect place for our 2015 spring break! Our daughters had a blast! The house was spacious and very accomodating. We soaked up a lot of sun relaxing by the pool on the terrace while enjoying the magnificent view! It is an easy walk to the beach (Playa Flamingo) and good restaurants. Marta was a big help in the kitchen (her guacamole was awesome) and kept the place clean as did Donald with the pool and hot tub. Jonas with Adventours set us up on memorable adventures, ziplining through the jungle, riverboat/wildlife tours, and our favorite, the sunset cruise on a catamaran! Casa Miramar is a wonderful place for an unforgettable vacation!"

"This is a good condo for family vacation. The views of the ocean from the balconies and bedrooms are very nice. The kitchen is functional.
There was an initial setback as the water was turned off. This was a major inconvenience as we arrived at 10 pm after a five hour road journey with three kids. No one could not use the bathroom until the next morning. The rental property management company knew of our arrival from owner/VRBO as well as my own phone conversations with them, so this was unexpected. Throughout this, the owner was helpful and worked to get the water turned on at 6:15 am instead of 8 am that the emergency contact had provided as the ETA. No one at the property management company apologized when I stopped by their office the next day with another question about the location of the safe - they didn't know where the safe was. These and few other things did not leave a good impression on us about the people that manage the property.
After the effect of this initial experience wore off, we were able to appreciate the condo. The swimming pool is nice, the beach right next to the condo is awesome for quiet strolls and collecting shells. The sunsets are gorgeous. We had a very good time staying here. Tamarindo is the nearest town for activities like surfing, swimming, renting a car, dining and so on. The condo is about a few minutes drive from Tamarindo downtown. Most people either spoke enough English or we able to get by with very limited Spanish. The people are very friendly and the places felt quite safe. The condo has security guards who were helpful and nice. Right next to the condo there is a small grocery store for basic necessities.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and if we visit Tamarindo area again would consider staying at this condo again."

"Una casa muy linda, la encontramos super limpia, todo muy ordenado y equipada con todo! Las áreas sociales del condominio son espectaculares, la piscina una belleza. Tuvimos una situación con unos tubos e inmediatamente llegaron a arreglarlo, y era 1 de enero! Georgina nos dio un excelente servicio, informándonos de todo, sugerencias de restaurantes. Pasamos un excelente año nuevo en esta casa."

"Congratulations! If you are reading this review, you have just made the best discovery you will ever make. My husband and I found Casa Doshack four years ago, and we have returned for longer and longer stays each winter since that time. It is truly a perfect little cottage in the midst of a tropical paradise.
Located directly on the quiet end of a long, beautiful beach, Casa Doshack has been (and will continue to be) a wonderful place for us to relax, recharge, and enjoy a peaceful break from our busy lives at home. Here is a sample of our typical day at Casa Doshack: We rise early and take a run or walk on the approximately 1½ mile beach, which is nearly deserted at sunrise. Then we drink coffee and visit as we sit in rocking chairs on the veranda, which looks out over the ocean. We spend the mornings reading or writing or taking pictures of the exotic wildlife, which surrounds us in the beautiful garden. We usually go for a swim in the ocean or take another walk along the beach. Then we prepare lunch in our fully-equipped kitchen and eat at the big table on the veranda, or we wander down the beach to one of the many restaurants in Tamarindo.
After lunch, we have time for more reading or we take a snooze in one of the hammocks in the lanai on the edge of the property overlooking the beach. Sometimes we go on an excursion in the afternoon, or we stroll into town to pick up groceries, visit the Farmer’s Market, or shop at the many boutiques and gift stores lining the streets of Tamarindo. We always make time for another swim and another walk. At dusk we make our way to the beach for a view of the gorgeous sunset.
In the evening, we prepare dinner on the grill and dine on the veranda or stroll along the beach one more time for dinner at a restaurant. We look forward to settling into our comfy bed where the sound of the ocean and the feel of the breeze lulls us to sleep.
Kathy Doshack, the owner of Casa Doshack, goes out of her way to take care of her guests, arranging activities and transportation and offering great advice and information. Her cheerful housekeeper Illeana keeps the house in order and will cook wonderful Costa Rican meals upon request. The friendly gardener Manuel entertains us as he maintains the pristine garden.
To give an adequate description of the virtues of this wonderful place would take many more paragraphs, but you really need to experience Casa Doshack for yourself to understand its magic."
