  • Christmas Awesomess!!

"Our stay at Villa Vista de Oro was incredible. Our entire family of 11 spent the week of Christmas here and it was full of awesomeness. The villa is absolutely beautiful and meticulously maintained by an incredible staff. It has 180 degree views of the ocean complete with beautiful sunsets and great breezes. We had the pleasure of monkeys on a few mornings out the front door. The birds were all very entertaining as well. Four of the bedrooms had splendid ocean views and the “bunk” room upstairs had great jungle views. Every bathroom was jaw dropping gorgeous. I cannot rave enough about the staff and the all-inclusive aspect of this villa. Isabel was a savior with her fluent English. She arranged for smooth pickup and drop off of family coming in from the Ohio, Oregon and England! She arranged for all of our tours and shopping excursions with expert precision. Isabel was there every day to meal plan with us and answer any questions what so ever. What a beautiful person she is and a pleasure to talk to and visit with. And I can’t say enough about the all-inclusive way this villa is run. This method takes all of the hassle out of everything. There was always plenty of beer, wine, water, food, whatever we needed. Isabel even made a special “coffee run” to get us coffee to take home. Chef Jose cooked us 3 wonderful, delicious meals everyday with fantastic desserts as well. He even accommodated one of our family members that had dietary restrictions. Jose Mario kept the pool spotless, our drink glasses full and even protected us from a possum in a tree that was driving the dogs crazy one night, haha. Costa Ricans celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve so we wanted to give them the night off. Chef Jose and the staff prepared our entire dinner ahead of time so all we had to do was just grill it up and serve it. Complete with a delicious, festive dessert of course. No aspect went unforgotten. Isabel arranged for us to go fishing (caught a huge Mahi Mahi), paddle boarding, sail/snorkel cruising and shopping. She even accompanied us to the local rodeo that was in a nearby town. What a great experience that was! I shouldn’t forget about the local rescue Monkey Farm either. Very interesting and worth the visit. Everything was perfect and you just can’t put a price on being able to spend quality family time together with no hassles. I would certainly recommend this wonderful villa to anyone."

  • Amazing

"We have been traveling for the last 10 years to a warm destination and VilIa Ocotal is hands down our best vacation every. We have traveled to both all inclusive and VRBOs. There were 16 people from ages 12-57 in our group. Some of us enjoy relaxing and the others enjoy a active vacation. This vacation met everyone's needs. From the time we landed in Costa Rica to the time we left everything was perfect. Doris and Hermon went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. My husband is still talking about how delicious the was food was. I think everyone wanted to take them both home with them. We also enjoyed Freddy's outgoing personality every morning. Guillermo was very helpful and responsive with our questions and setting up messages and excursion. You can tell everyone puts their heart and soul into making everyone's week outstanding. If you are traveling with a group and want unforgettable vacation this is place for you."

  • Alabama and Tennessee Villa Lovers

"We arrived at the Villa on 3/22/15 for a weeks stay, and found the Villa to be even more beautiful than the pictures displayed. Our stay will be one we remember, as one of our best trips in years. We enjoyed all the features of the Villa, including the pool, grilling porch, laundry, and the very refreshing garden showers. The emenities and furnishings were all top notch, and left one feeling that you were indeed in a real home. Breakfasts on the veranda, mid day plunges into the pool, afternoon cocktails, and cool evening breezes made each day special. We also had the Villas property management group book us a tour with pick up and drop off right from the Villas front door. We don't believe you will find a better place to stay, or an easier owner to deal with for the quality and beauty of the property offered. This would be a solid selection for a family, young or elderly, children, or couples, as well as a group of people. One of the best in the Tamarindo area, bar none. You will also find it is just a few minutes walk to down town and the action, or it also works as a very comfortable hide away. You won't regret taking this Villa as your home away from home. A fully satisfied Customer!"

  • Breathtaking.

"We spent a wonderful week at Casa de Serenidad. The whole place is amazing. To start with of the hosts, Babe and Don are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our unit had the most amazing views perched like an aerie over the Pacific. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen well supplied. The AC sufficient. The unit had a nice private deck to hang out on or have dinner or have a massage. We remember one moonlit night with the surf glowing and lights across the bay twinkling, Breathtaking. The rest of the property was equally amazing. The architect had some fun. There is a cable bridge between the tops of two of the buildings. What a kick. And a spiral staircase to get down from one of the roofs. Another bit of fun was two hammocks suspended over a wading pool under a ramada on the roof of a building perched over the Pacific. These hammocks were a wonderful place to read. There is space for grilling out. There is an indoor cool Jacuzzi which turned out to be wonderfully refreshing on a hot day! We highly recommend Casa de Serenidad and we hope that we can return soon."
