  • Wonderful stay

"We stayed at this condo for the month of Feb. and fell in love with it so much so that we are going back for the month of Feb. / 2016.😄 The condo was equipped with everything we needed and anything we didn't have the owner was more than helpful to accommodate us. It's the perfect spot around an awesome center pool away from the busyness of Tamorindo which is a nice walk down the beach .Love love love it"

  • Perfect, fantastic beach house,

"Casa Kalumina is a place of unexpected adventures and luxurious silences, of being greeted by name the second time you stop for breakfast at the surf school down the street, and enjoying vegetarian pizza while listening to a live jazz/reggae trio a five-minute stroll from the front door – under a cloudless canopy of a billion stars. If I sound a little over enthusiastic, trust me, I haven't scratched the surface. We stayed with two other couples and a single friend and each had spacious, private accommodations. It seemed twice as many would be an easy fit with a little communal spirit. A gorgeous, lush garden ensures absolute privacy. The house is thoughtfully laid out with well-appointed kitchen, bathrooms, and spacious common areas including a breezy covered deck with a seductive hammock secreted over the garage. The beds are comfortable and the furnishings tasteful but practical. Friendly and unobtrusive folks tend to the pool and grounds so everything is always groomed and inviting. There was never a bit of trash on the huge beach unless you count the thousands of seashells. There were very few other people on the beach. I never noticed any biting insects. About a half-hour walk up the beach is a turtle museum, a yoga studio, and a nice bar/restaurant with fine, spicy Bloody Marys. Casa Kalumina is a treasure; enjoy it. You will not want to leave. Pura Vida. Pure life!"

  • paradise

"My wife and spent 2 outstanding weeks here. The condo was just like home, had everything we needed and the ice maker was used a lot. Lots of room and very peaceful. Will definitely stay here again, looking now at next year. Had only one issue with the internet and after contacting Rita, they were out and had it fixed within 2 hours, very impressed with the service. We were only woken up two morning by the howler monkeys, they sound like dogs howling, its loud. The walk to the beach is really 2 1/2 minutes about 250 meters, closer than some of the resorts we have been at. We rented a car and visited 7 different beaches in the area, so this condo is very well situated for traveling around. There is some excellent restaurants in the area, El Hurto has outstanding pizza and the Café del Pueblo has a Mahi Mahi in shrimp sauce that is to die for. • What a beauty

"Thanks to Kai and Ruth ( sorry never met you!) we were on a whirl and Casa Linda Vista was Wonderful! You have an amazing piece of your own paradise Kai! You were hospitable inviting and warm! Wish we stayed the month but our 2 nights was all we could squeeze into our fantastic CR vaca! Love the walking paths and your foliage! Loved the comfortable house and the views! The upstairs deck was my go to when we were home...coffee in the am and sips of wine or cold refreshing water and tea in the eve! Easily hands down a winner! Walked and biked to the beach, ate at Rip Jacks, Bula Bula for cocktails and just down the driveway at El Heurto! Also managed a low tide bike ride from our beach area to Tamarindo ( with help from the local motor boats!) hung out pretty much at Nocuis while our kids biked around/swam/shopped and then we biked back via Frijoles locos suggestion of water taxi to Bula Bula! Biked the road from there! So fun! Live love be happy! That's life in Playa Grande"
