"The house is perfectly located. Short walk to the beach and close to the grocery store. The pool area is great and we liked the layout of the house. We were there during the Easter week but it was never that busy. All in all a great place to stay."

"The villa was wonderful for our family of four. I loved having two bedrooms so the kids didn't have to share a room with us. The common area is large and kitchen has everything you need to do some cooking. The market around the corner had more American products than the Super Sized one in Tamarindo so check that one first if you are looking for something familiar (assuming you are American of course - LOL). With only six villas in the property the pool was always free for a dip which was nice in the afternoons when the beaches were a little too rough for our little ones. The owner was delightful coming by twice in the week. We really enjoyed working with her as everything went smoothly. My only surprise was that the villa only had air conditioning in the bedrooms and not throughout. Not a deal breaker for us since sleeping was the time we needed it most but just sharing for others."

"We couldn't have found a more relaxing place to get away! Kelly and David's home in Playa Grande far exceeding our expectations! I feel SO rejuvenated after spending a week in their paradise. I love that there is such an awesome alternative to crowded beaches and hotels. From the beach, you wouldn't even know that anyone lives here, yet you are actually just steps away from the surf. I love the soothing natural sounds that lure you to sleep at night - what an incredible change from city sounds. I enjoyed taking the walk to the other end of the beach for yoga classes. For anyone wanted to get re-attuned to nature, this is an awesome place. You'll feel revitalized on all levels - body, mind and spirit. AND don't forget to go for a night walk. If you REALLY want to see what the stars look like - take you beach towel down to the beach AFTER dark - and soak in god's wonder.
We'll be back for sure!!! Thanks Kelly and David for sharing this very special place with us. You're the best!

"Stayed for 2 weeks with my 3 teens and my husbands parents. PERFECT! Modern! We took the second level and everyone had their own space, even my only daughter had a her own bed and area (the sitting room upstairs). My in-laws had the main floor so they had their own bathroom and could get up earlier.... There are 3 bathrooms with lots of hot water pressure. The master suite bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in my life. Very clean and everything you need. Even have the option to have groceries delivered before you get there. This is a very safe place to stay. Owner was helpful and all payments directly were fine. He has an agency that looks after the cleaning and maintenance while you are there.
Make sure you book surf lessons and rentals with Frijoles Locos Surf (super close) great service!
Also worth every penny excursions even if you only do 1 thing, do this! (book early): Javier (bi-lingual) lovingcostarica.com
A few minor comments to make 110%: a table and chairs on the upstairs balcony would be nice to enjoy the nights. Provided lawn chairs and enough towels for sleeping max to take to the beach should also be provided as there are no chairs at the beach.
NOTE: You need to rent a car for this location. We used a mini SUV from Vamos from the Liberia airport which was great and provided a complimentary emergency cell phone. Strapped luggage to the top and could fit all 7 of us comfortably and reasonably priced. Remember this is a developing country, wi-fi and power is not always running during wind storms. Roads were in good condition. No mosquitos except when we went on the Palo Verde tour (where I got 60 bites without feeling them until after...)
You will love this place.
Also we had to use the emergency clinic close by (there are 2, one is 24hr but they are connected) for an unexpected kidney stone and the service was amazing AND in English."
