"Casa Costa Palmera is a little slice of Heaven. Our family had the best time on this amazing beach and in this amazing house. We hired Maria to cook our meals (the best decision ever) and she is an amazing cook. We also used the food stocking service (another perfect decision) and Alyssa brought us our food so we didn't have to waste time at the grocery store. Orlando and Maria are absolutely amazing, kind, and wonderful people. They made us feel welcomed and like royalty. The beach is absolutely splendid and we spent every day swimming or body boarding in the surf. We walked on the beach every morning and were on the beach every evening till sunset. We went snorkeling at Playa Carbon as well which is something that you definitely shouldn't miss when you visit. Alyssa, our concierge, helped set up several tours and trips for us including ziplining and fishing. She was so amazing to work with. We cannot wait to go back! This was the best vacation our family has ever been on! Thank you so much Alyssa, Maria, and Orlando!"

"The house is perfectly located. Short walk to the beach and close to the grocery store. The pool area is great and we liked the layout of the house. We were there during the Easter week but it was never that busy. All in all a great place to stay."

Amazing secluded beach getaway with all the comforts of home!
"My husband and I were so thrilled that casa que pasa was available for our last minute vacation. We needed a week of rest and relaxation on a beach - and we got that and much more! The house is beautiful, with a fantastic kitchen which offers an amazing view of the jungle as you cook. Everything was clean and bright, and the bed was super comfortable. The balcony overlooking the walk to the beach is a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, evening wine, and to spot the monkey family.
We decided to try surfing, so we rented a few boards from a surf school down the road. The 1 min walk to the beach made it extremely convenient for us to go surfing 2 times a day. The beach is fantastic for beginner surfers - no rocks or coral, easy waves (and some harder ones if you're an expert).
After our morning surf we would walk to the estuary to get a boat ride into Tamarindo (for $1). We'd head home, have a nap, surf again, and then head out to one of the local restaurants within walking distance.
Casa Que Pasa has everything - the comforts of home, beach, jungle, restaurants, and a little grocery store all within walking distance. In short, it was a perfect getaway and we can't wait to return!"

"We stayed at Casa del Mar, their house next door, two years ago, and we just knew we had to come back to Playa Grande. This time, we decided to try Casa Syl Mar. We knew that it would have the same great view, the same wonderful staff, and the same excellent hosts, so we didn't think we would have any real surprises. But, of course, we were pleasantly surprised to see just how beautiful this house is. I think it might be the prettiest house on the beach. You really can't go wrong with this place.
Playa Grande is a great place if you like things a little quiet and love the outdoors. Boogie boarding and surfing here are just amazing (we took lessons from Doug and Kieley at Frijoles Locos) because of the consistent breaks. We also highly recommend doing the Estuary Tour through Jonathon at the Hotel Las Tortugas. This is a canoe trip into the salt water estuary where we saw hundreds of birds, crocodiles, and got a great close-up view of a troop of howler monkeys. Avoid the smelly, noisy motor boats. You won't see nearly as much wildlife (and they are, technically, illegal anyway).
Ask about the fresh fish truck too! Gabriela helped us get some wonderful fish delivered right to us. Fantastic!
Seriously, you just don't need to keep looking. I promise you won't regret staying here!"
