Amazing secluded beach getaway with all the comforts of home!
"My husband and I were so thrilled that casa que pasa was available for our last minute vacation. We needed a week of rest and relaxation on a beach - and we got that and much more! The house is beautiful, with a fantastic kitchen which offers an amazing view of the jungle as you cook. Everything was clean and bright, and the bed was super comfortable. The balcony overlooking the walk to the beach is a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, evening wine, and to spot the monkey family.
We decided to try surfing, so we rented a few boards from a surf school down the road. The 1 min walk to the beach made it extremely convenient for us to go surfing 2 times a day. The beach is fantastic for beginner surfers - no rocks or coral, easy waves (and some harder ones if you're an expert).
After our morning surf we would walk to the estuary to get a boat ride into Tamarindo (for $1). We'd head home, have a nap, surf again, and then head out to one of the local restaurants within walking distance.
Casa Que Pasa has everything - the comforts of home, beach, jungle, restaurants, and a little grocery store all within walking distance. In short, it was a perfect getaway and we can't wait to return!"

"This property was perfect...it had all the amenities such as A/C, fans, hot water, pool, outdoor covered patio, fully stocked kitchen, king beds, laundry, etc
We always seek privacy, which this has, and to be close to the beach (10 minute leisurely walk). You can't really get much closer than that in this area. You are in walking distance to the mini-market and several restaurants. It is a very private location.
It was super easy to arrange rental agreement and check in. The owner and property manager were always timely in their communications.
We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return! Both the house and the property are beautiful!

"When we were searching for options for our honeymoon, we considered resorts, traditional hotels, and private homes. We were SO HAPPY we made this choice. The house was in a great location, very private and quiet, and had everything we needed for a romantic honeymoon + days trips for adventures. We used the awesome pool every afternoon. Thanks goodness for the AC as it was 90+ every day! We ventured out to Llanos de Cortez (waterfall), Playa Carbon (black sand beach), Playa Flamingo (non-touristy, non surfing beach), played golf several times (Four Seasons, Conchal, and Pinilla), had an estuary tour, and of course, took the water taxi to Tamarindo Beach. If you like a surfer vibe - you'll love Tamarindo. If you like a great beach tiki bar, you'll love Lola's. Be sure to go to try the Mango Jalapeno Margarita's at RipJack's and the Sunday night BBQ at Seven. As the other reviewers have mentioned, Mike stops by every morning to clean the pool. If you are up early he is very willing to share tips and ideas for getting the most out of your Costa Rica vacation. The ONLY downside is the dirt road to get into Playa Grande. Very bumpy and rutted."

"The house is perfectly located. Short walk to the beach and close to the grocery store. The pool area is great and we liked the layout of the house. We were there during the Easter week but it was never that busy. All in all a great place to stay."
