"Thanks to Kai and Ruth ( sorry never met you!) we were on a whirl and Casa Linda Vista was
Wonderful! You have an amazing piece of your own paradise Kai! You were hospitable inviting and warm! Wish we stayed the month but our 2 nights was all we could squeeze into our fantastic CR vaca!
Love the walking paths and your foliage! Loved the comfortable house and the views! The upstairs deck was my go to when we were home...coffee in the am and sips of wine or cold refreshing water and tea in the eve! Easily hands down a winner! Walked and biked to the beach, ate at Rip Jacks, Bula Bula for cocktails and just down the driveway at El Heurto! Also managed a low tide bike ride from our beach area to Tamarindo ( with help from the local motor boats!) hung out pretty much at Nocuis while our kids biked around/swam/shopped and then we biked back via Frijoles locos suggestion of water taxi to Bula Bula! Biked the road from there! So fun! Live love be happy! That's life in Playa Grande"

"I've stayed here a handful of times now and the only reason I am loathe to write this review is that I don't want others to catch on and start competing for booking the best weeks. This place is everything you need in a surf/beach vacation spot and nothing more. Simply walk out the front door in the morning, surf, walk back in, jump in pool, grab beer, sit on upstairs porch overlooking surf, and repeat. This house is a labor of love for Alan and Kathy and they do a great job of making their guests feel comfortable and welcome. If you're looking to hit the "easy" button on a surf/beach vacation and don't want to hassle much, then do yourself a favor and spend a week at Villa of the Rock."

"A group of 8 rented both apartments for 10 days at the end of February 2015. The two apartments joined together with the door on the terrace worked perfect for us. Frijoles Locos location in Playa Grande is peaceful, safe and quiet. The only thing better than the apartments themselves were the people. Corynne, Ian, Felix, and the staff in the surf shop and spa were more than willing to accommodate our every request. We booked four different tours through the surf shop and were able to rent anything we needed for a day on the beach. Corynne gave us guidance well in advance of our arrival on which tours we should book in advance and which tours we would be able to book once we arrived. She never steered us wrong and the whole group was glad she booked us a tour in the Palo Verde national park with Javier from Loving Costa Rica as soon as she did. We never rented a car during our stay in Costa Rica and Frijoles Locos was able to arrange transportation for us anywhere we wanted to go with Tamarindo Travel including getting us to and from Liberia when we arrived and left. I would recommend Frijoles Locos to anyone from a family with young kids to a group of adults just looking to get away. I look forward to going back Costa Rica and Frijoles Locos in the future."

Amazing secluded beach getaway with all the comforts of home!
"My husband and I were so thrilled that casa que pasa was available for our last minute vacation. We needed a week of rest and relaxation on a beach - and we got that and much more! The house is beautiful, with a fantastic kitchen which offers an amazing view of the jungle as you cook. Everything was clean and bright, and the bed was super comfortable. The balcony overlooking the walk to the beach is a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, evening wine, and to spot the monkey family.
We decided to try surfing, so we rented a few boards from a surf school down the road. The 1 min walk to the beach made it extremely convenient for us to go surfing 2 times a day. The beach is fantastic for beginner surfers - no rocks or coral, easy waves (and some harder ones if you're an expert).
After our morning surf we would walk to the estuary to get a boat ride into Tamarindo (for $1). We'd head home, have a nap, surf again, and then head out to one of the local restaurants within walking distance.
Casa Que Pasa has everything - the comforts of home, beach, jungle, restaurants, and a little grocery store all within walking distance. In short, it was a perfect getaway and we can't wait to return!"
