  • Slice of Heaven!

"Wow! What an amazing girls trip in Playa Hermosa! The views from every inch of this beautiful villa were breathtaking. The owners were so prompt and generous with suggestions and information about their favorite sights, restaurants, tours, beaches, etc. Laura at Milargro was like a family to us! She provided us "Beck and Call" service beyond any rental company that I have dealt with. I have rented over 50 homes all over the world through VRBO and this home was spectacular for our party of 4 ladies! We each had our own bedroom and tons of space to spread out, relax and spend sunsets out by the pool or the rooftop terrace. Bernal and Lilliana at Tico Tours provided private tours for us with amazing guides. We had so much fun with all of them at Tico. It was all first class- the restaurants, the volcano tours, natural steaming mud baths, private massages at the villa, chef services from Rocio, great diving, day trip to Nicaragua, Palo Verde National Park and river tour, Miravalles Waterfalls, etc. We saw 3 types of monkeys, countless species of birds, iguanas everywhere, baby crocodiles, etc. We cannot wait to return! Pura Vida!"

  • Homey and well appointed villa

"My husband myself and our 14yr old son stayed at Chris's lovely villa for 10 days. I was reluctant to book a VRBO as we had a previous bad experience. This was a very positive experience from start to finish. A welcome reprieve from our long cold Canadian winter. The villa was exactly as described and more. We lived mostly on the large patio, eating all of our meals outside. The plunge pool was fabulous. We made good use of the blender for margaritas/pina coladas and the new barbeque. Separate AC in every room was a nice touch. Very quiet location at the end of the street. We used the resort pools and enjoyed having cocktails watching the sunset at the restaurant. We did not partake in the meals at the resort.. The trolley to the beach was much appreciated as it is a steep walk up the hill in 38C. We spent most of our vacation enjoying Playa Hermosa and the villa. Great beach for swimming and boogie boarding in the waves. Our son spent many hours perfecting his skim boarding. Favorite memories will be watching the sunset with 2 for 1 cocktails from Roberto's. We also had a few meals there which we thoroughly enjoyed. Look for Adolfo/Alonso (brothers) to take you out to the "island" for a up-close and personal snorkelling experience. Chris's referral to Avispas Adventures was much appreciated. Amy and her crew were very accommodating, prompt and professional. They picked us up at the airport as promised only 20 minutes to the villa. Carlos took us to Playa Grande for a day of surfing. Beautiful never-ending surf and sand. Beware there is no shade here. We also had an enjoyable evening dining at Ginger's. I would suggest to do most food shopping at Coco Beach at the new supermarket, very nice and everything you will need including inexpensive boogie boards and skim boards. The grocery store in P. Hermosa is OK for basics, we found it to be pricey. We were looking for a relaxing beach vacation and this is exactly what we had. We did not see the green/jungle Costa Rica as seen in pictures as it was the end of the dry season. We plan to go back to see the "jungle/adventure" Costa Rica we have heard and seen so much in the rainy season Thanks again Chris"

  • Beautiful villa...beautiful people of Costa Rica

"6 "golden girls" spent 2 weeks in this beautiful villa. The residence is safe and secure. It is even more special than the listing description indicates. Andre, Audi and their beautiful family live on the grounds. They were wonderful to us and we fell in love with them and their kind ways. The parrots who live on the grounds gave us endless laughs mimicking us & our laughter. Louise, the property manager & Kelsey, the concierge, gave us great advise and interesting trips were arranged that all of us enjoyed (not an easy feat with 6 women). The property is clean & well maintained. The pool was perfect as the weather was quite warm. Andre cleaned the pool daily. Howler monkeys visited the compound several times, to our delight, to eat from the mango trees. What a treat. If you plan to go to the cloud forest and Arenal, it is a 3+ hour drive each way so you may want to plan to spend a night away from the Villa. We did not want to stay anywhere else so we did not make the trip...sorry now we didn't do it. Roberto's Restaurant is right next door...the food is delicious, reasonably priced and they have 2 for 1 specials on Wednesday & Saturday. Kelsey arranged several trips for us and each one offered a different look at the beauty of Costa Rica. Would recommend Rio Perdido, Los Pumas, and a boat ride down the River Tempeste, The owners, Bonnie & John; the property manager, Louise; the concierge, Kelsey; & the grounds & housekeeper, Andre, "Audi" and their wonderful family, made this a most memorable vacation. Thanks to you all!! We would most definitely recommend Villa Daiquiri to both young, old and in between. There is something for everyone in beautiful Costa Rica."

  • Fabulous Villa in Beautiful Playa Hermosa!

"We had a fantastic two weeks at Villa Camelia - Sam and Camelia are amazing hosts and tended to our every need! The villa has absolutely breathtaking scenery, is beautifully appointed inside and out and situated perfectly to easily access all that Hermosa has to offer. We couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy our first visit to Costa Rica! Thanks also to Antonio, Jose and Stephanie for their help and friendship during our stay. Sam and Camelia, thank you so much for your hospitality - loved every minute and can't wait to return someday!"

Playa Hermosa Travel Tips

Picture Perfect Vacations in Playa Hermosa Beach Rentals

For anyone looking for a small beach town vacation in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica, Playa Hermosa beach rentals will be perfect! Situated along the northwest coast of the country, Playa Hermosa resorts offer plenty of fun in the sun and surf. Located just 25 minutes from the Liberia International Airport, planning vacations in Costa Rica has never been easier when you choose Playa Hermosa as your destination!

Playa Hermosa Resorts Offer Quiet Serenity

In Spanish, “hermosa” means “beautiful” so the town is aptly named. Playa Hermosa beach rentals line the gray sanded beaches and are situated between two spectacular mountains. Surrounded by the more populated beaches of Playa del Coco and Playa Panama, Playa Hermosa resorts offer privacy and lots of quiet relaxation. The water even reflects this as the waves here are much more serene than surrounding areas, making Playa Hermosa ideal for swimming and splashing rather than surfing and sporting.

National Parks Are a Must-see During Vacations in Costa Rica

You simply cannot plan vacations in Costa Rica without a visit to some of the many national parks in the country. In fact, quite a few are located rather close to many Playa Hermosa beach rentals so the trip will not be difficult. Rincon de la Vieja National Park, Santa Rosa National Park, and Palo Verde National Park are all worth a visit. If you want to view local wildlife (monkeys, jaguars, tropical birds, and more) up close and personal, this is your chance!

Laid-back Vacations in Playa Hermosa Beach Rentals

The atmosphere surrounding Playa Hermosa resorts is very laid-back. And that is what vacations in Costa Rica should be--ultimately relaxing. The country offers the opportunity to escape it all in a lush, tropical setting surrounded by oceans, beaches, and mountains. A trip to Playa Hermosa will cleanse the mind, body, and soul, making you ready for anything when you return home!
