Great vacation in a beautiful house in a quiet neighbourhood
"We really enjoyed staying in Casa Juliana, the house is splendid, clean, comfortable for 10 persons. We we're 2 family traveling together (4 adults and 6 kids), we have enjoyed every minute of our stay. The pool was awesome and the resting area around it was perfect and comfy. Our favourite spot was next to the BBQ where we could all sit around the chef and enjoy the warm weather. Tv station on the second floor was perfectly located to enjoy a movie without being disturbed. great selection of DVD - Great idea! All the bedroom were nice and cosy with huge bathroom. Georgina was a great help by giving us nice tips on different activities for the time being and very charming. She was right, the pizza next to the house was a big hit and she hook us up with a fish guy, fresh shrimps and marlin - perfect for a bbq night and a ceviche. Playa Junquillal provided nice bodysurf experience but need to be very careful with these enormous wave. The other playa (20 - 45 minutes) away are offering other amazing experience. We loved the area and the house. AMAZING VACATION! Thanks"

"My family (four kids ages 14-4) stayed here for the month of June. We absolutely LOVED it! What a great house in a beautiful location! It is quiet and secluded which is just what we wanted during our stay. It was within an hour drive of some great places to visit (Tamarindo to the north and Nosara to the south which are both fun places to visit but I was glad we weren't staying there - too touristy for us). There are plenty of great beaches in-between.
The home itself is clean and comfortable. Well equipped and furnished with everything you would need. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals (since we were there for a month we made most of our meals at home). Bridget (the home owner) and Mario (the property manager) put us in contact with a local fisherman so we had fresh fish which we prepared. It was delicious. We spent hours in the pool - it was always the perfect temperature an so refreshing.
Bridget (and Tom) are a pleasure to work with - so kind and responsive. We met Bridget while we were there and she is a lovely person. Such a pleasure to meet her!
The property manager is fantastic. He understands a lot of English and helped us with our Spanish immensely. If we had a question about the property or the surrounding area he was able to answer all our questions.
I would HIGHLY recommend staying here without any reservations. We LOVED it!"

"This villa is absolutely to die for. The concierge (Claire) was a sweetheart and very helpful, recommending the best activities with people who she knows personally and trusts, making our experience comfortable and enjoyable! We woke up to monkeys right above our room, iguanas basking in the sun, and colorful birds chirping by our window and above the infinity pool. I was speechless and felt as though the best of costa rica was right in my back yard. The beach behind the villa had clear blue water and the view was phenomenal in the morning and in the evening. I booked with luxury retreats, who's team was very hospitable during their short visits every morning to clean the pool, cook, and tidy up the house. Although speaking spanish is ideal, everyone I encountered spoke english and was very kind. Out of all the things I was grateful for, frm the view, to the hospitality, the food, and fun activities, the directions I was given before my arrival to Costa Rica was SO HELPFUL when we drove our rental car from the airport to the villa.. I didn't even get lost on the dirt roads in this foreign tropical country and the GPS nor wifi didn't even work! It was amazing how thorough my concierge was with her directions with every recommended spot to visit. I recommend this home for big families, or couples, groups of friends, whether you want to explore the best of costa rica or stay on the property all day-- its like your own resort. Love!"
