Great vacation in a beautiful house in a quiet neighbourhood
"We really enjoyed staying in Casa Juliana, the house is splendid, clean, comfortable for 10 persons. We we're 2 family traveling together (4 adults and 6 kids), we have enjoyed every minute of our stay. The pool was awesome and the resting area around it was perfect and comfy. Our favourite spot was next to the BBQ where we could all sit around the chef and enjoy the warm weather. Tv station on the second floor was perfectly located to enjoy a movie without being disturbed. great selection of DVD - Great idea! All the bedroom were nice and cosy with huge bathroom. Georgina was a great help by giving us nice tips on different activities for the time being and very charming. She was right, the pizza next to the house was a big hit and she hook us up with a fish guy, fresh shrimps and marlin - perfect for a bbq night and a ceviche. Playa Junquillal provided nice bodysurf experience but need to be very careful with these enormous wave. The other playa (20 - 45 minutes) away are offering other amazing experience. We loved the area and the house. AMAZING VACATION! Thanks"

"My husband and I are retired and we rented this casa for almost three months this winter. It was perfect for us and had enough room for when my daughter and two children came to visit. The beds are very comfortable. The air conditioners in every room work well. The pool is the best feature of all. It is large and deep and kept so clean by the house manager, Mario. We had fun learning Spanish from him and he likewise was trying to learn English. He helped us in so many ways. We had a flat tire when we were there and he changed it and told us a good place to go and have it repaired. He showed us where to go to get a Sim Card for our tablet in Santa Cruz so that we could access the internet both at the house and in the car. He refilled the gas tanks when our fuel ran out for our stove. He really was so very helpful and as a result we felt very well cared for and safe. His Dad is the gardener and he came every morning early and did a wonderful job of tending their lovely grounds and he gave us bananas, papayas and limes grown fresh right on the property! Because we had such a long term rental there were things that we missed having at the house that others staying for just a week or two probably would not care. I missed having a microwave for example. Some of the pots and pans were not in too good of shape and there were no muffin tins, cake pans, casserole dishes that sort of thing that one needs for a longer stay. For everyday cooking all the necessary items were there for our use. We were happy to have beach chairs available to take with us to the beach but we had to buy a cooler and a thermos to take cold drinks with us. The property itself is very beautiful and the pool area is surrounded with lush tropical plants and flowers. My only complaint would be the road getting there was long and a dirt road and you really do need a four wheel drive to drive on that every day as well as getting up the hill to reach the house. Keep in mind you are in Costa Rica though so this is to be expected. We found all the people in the village and everywhere we went to be very friendly especially when we tried to speak our broken Spanish to them! All in all it was a wonderful holiday and I would love to go back again in the future!"

"Una casa muy linda, la encontramos super limpia, todo muy ordenado y equipada con todo! Las áreas sociales del condominio son espectaculares, la piscina una belleza. Tuvimos una situación con unos tubos e inmediatamente llegaron a arreglarlo, y era 1 de enero! Georgina nos dio un excelente servicio, informándonos de todo, sugerencias de restaurantes. Pasamos un excelente año nuevo en esta casa."

An authentic Costa Rica experience in a comfortable setting!
"We just returned from a great Costa Rica vacation where Woodbox was our home away from home. Woodbox has everything a family could possibly need for an ocean vacation - walk to the beach, boogie boards, an outside shower, a pool for relaxing, a bbq, a laundry room and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms! We had two families, 4 adults and 4 kids ages 7 - 11, and we never felt crowded. Woodbox provided a secluded atmosphere, with at least 4 restaurants within walking distance, a great concierge service who can arrange all travel and excursions, and friendly people EVERYWHERE. In addition, if you need access to wifi or TV/DVDs, it is there for early mornings or end of the day when everyone wants to relax. Woodbox makes it easy to totally unplug or stay connected. You can hear the howler monkeys from the house and walk to both a swimming beach and a black sand beach with tide pools. Zip lining was a favorite activity for the entire family, but the volcano hike, waterfall jumping, boat tour and surfing lessons did not disappoint. A week at Woodbox will be sure to be fun and relaxing!"
