  • Wow!

"What a great vacation home and location! Great beaches abound near by. Fantastic beach combing right in front. Spectacular views. Very comfortable. We were worried about the small pool. But it was perfect. Just a quick dip to cool off then back into a lounge chair. A bigger pool is unnecessary. Also close to great zip lining, fishing, cruises, and other adventures. Lots of great restaurants also close by; from pizza to lunch on the beach to fine french dining (Villa Deveena). Jarrod and Meaghan, the managers, are unbelievable hosts. The pictures don't do it justice. I couldn't recommend it more highly."

  • The Best!!

"This was my 6th trip to Costa Rica, and Rancho Playa Negra is the best place to be, and Casa Luna de Miel is the best home to be in. It's luxury living in a beautiful, quiet, secluded part of the world. The house is better than the pictures, beautifully furnished and very secure. Our sunset horseback ride began at our house; we visited the community of Guaitil, with its amazing pottery, after a 40 minute drive of spectacular beauty. The local restaurants are wonderful (arroz con pollo was my favorite), with offerings to satisfy anyone's taste. Tamarindo is a nearby city for lunch and good shopping (but too "busy" to stay in). Jarrod and Meaghan are terrific down-to-earth hosts who are always available to answer questions and offer advice. We spent a lot of time at this incredible house, walking the beautiful grounds of Rancho Playa Negra, and it's beaches and tidal pools. We left totally relaxed, and looking forward to returning next year to another perfect week!"

  • Gorgeous views, great house!

"Casa Ventana has everything you need for a very comfortable stay in lovely Playa Negra. The kitchen is clean, large and well equipped. The ac is chilly. There is plenty of hot water. The house has a satellite tv and speedy wifi. The pool is pretty and was always the perfect temperature. The house has a large wrap-around porch which was the perfect place to enjoy the spectacular ocean views, flawless sunsets and cooling breezes. Every time we pulled into the driveway we remarked how much we loved our cute sea-side casa. It felt like home. Mary (the manager), the maintenance staff, the cleaning staff and the security team were excellent. We felt very safe and well cared for. Highly recommended!"

  • Far Above our Expectations

"My wife and I spent the 2nd week of Jan at the treehouse, and it was spectacular.Been to Costa Rica before, and stayed at an all inclusive further up the coast, but for me drinking watered down liquor at the pool bar gets old in a hurry.I can do that at home.Any way, this time we wanted to get out and do our own thing, and we were definitely not disappointed. First off, the treehouse is everything it's claimed to be and more.Such a beautiful isolated location, with all the amenities, makes the perfect base camp to get out and enjoy Costa Rica. Beaches with world class surfing are a ten minute drive from the front door.( I timed it) We hooked up with Pargos Adventures in Playa Negra, went standup paddle boarding in the mangrove swamps, hiked into the mountains to some cool waterfalls, learned to surf, and just chilled on the beach. Everywhere we went people were friendly, and very helpful. Even with with the communication barrier we always felt more like friends and less like tourists. We ate out several times , and everyplace we ate at neither had doors or windows, just little open air places in and around nearby Playa Negra, and the food , the drinks , as well as the atmosphere were all great. If your idea of a vacation is going to the amusement park, or sitting by the pool being waited on and eating whatever they serve you, this is probably not the place for you. BUT,if you want to "get off the reservation",and do your own thing, enjoy the countryside, the wildlife, the people, the food, trust me you will not be disappointed. I'm already planning my next vacation to this area, as are friends that we've shared our experiences with."
