  • Beautiful Luxury Home with Amazing Views & Pool

"Our family of four had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Luna de Miel. The views are absolutely incredible and the very clean and refreshing pool is located on the side of the house and provides shade and privacy. We did have an a/c issue at the beginning, but it was taken care of very quickly. Although Jarrod is the property manager, Mariah helped us out quite a bit with suggestions about where to eat and things to do. She acted as a surf guide for me since I hadn't been to the area and my surf skills were very rusty. She helped by explaining a bit of the local culture and etiquette, set me up with a trip to Ollies and Witches Rock, and threw out a few very good surf tips. In addition, she arranged surf lessons for our daughter with Monica who was extremely patient, and really broke down surfing into easy to understand steps in such a positive way. Our daughter now loves surfing and after 3 days of lessons was riding wave faces. Both Monica and Mariah are super honest, reliable and great role models. Also, don't miss the fabulous massage given by Francis! After surfing for 3 days, my shoulders and neck were very out of sorts. Francis straightened everything out and I was able to surf 2 more days. Overall, a wonderful trip! We will be returning!"

  • Loved our stay at Casa Ganesha!

"Our family of 6 just spent two weeks at Casa Ganesha. What a wonderful home and property. The house was as pictured. Our 4 kids all had their own bedroom with air conditioning and we took over the master. No air conditioning but so open and with ceiling fan it really wasn't needed or missed. Overlooking the ocean, it was nice to hear the crashing waves at night and the howler monkeys in the morning. Lots of wildlife: bird visitors every morning and two iguanas on our roof! Our kids lived in the pool much of the day but enjoyed their time in the waves boogie boarding and learning to surf. Good restaurants in the area and being part of the hotel Playa Negra complex made us feel safe (on site security). Being able to run a tab a the restaurant was convenient for beachside pina coladas (and smoothies for the kids). House is located about 30 minutes south of Tamarindo (great touristy spot) which is nice for a visit, a dinner out or to stock up on groceries. Santa Cruz (also 30 min) was the most reasonable place to pick up groceries. Be sure to check out the cool church tower there! Know that the weather it is HOT on the west coast during dry season. 33-36 degrees (91-97F) almost every day with high winds some of the time. Landscape is pretty brown. Well worth taking a day or two to see rainforest. We spent one night in Fortuna to see the Arenal Volcano and rainforest. This was the rainforest I had come to see. Rainforest hike and incredible zip lining experience over the canopy. It was lush and green. Great experience but was nice to return to the sun, beach, pool and wonderful home of Casa Ganesha. Everyone we dealt with through this rental was wonderful! Serge answered emails quickly and answered all our many questions. Judy, the house manager was always available and Jennifer, the housekeeper did a wonderful job. People at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Casa Ganesha is well worth the visit!"

  • Eco Oasis

"After two trips for two weeks each to this amazing refuge I can sit back and think of all the great memories of this extraordinary place with happiness. Fresh warm ocean air blowing thru the treetops as we looked out over the canopy from the open top floor of the treehouse, watching the iguana's in the jungle floor below eat fresh fruit, nitetimes looking out at the starts thru the floor to ceiling glass walls in our master bedroom, and relaxing in the hammock reading with the sounds of the jungle in the background. The house had everything we needed and is well cared for, and is private and spacious. The country itself is welcoming, costa rican's are warm friendly people, and their are also the interesting expats who have figured out how to make a life down there running the local great restaurants. We spent many days on the beaches, surfing, swimming, soaking up the sun, and side trips up to the hotsprings, volcano's, and offshore fishing. This playa negra area is away from the overbuilt overtouristy (which are about an hour's drive away at Tamarindo) and is much more to our liking, there is so much to explore, I can't wait to get back again."
