"Casa Ventana has everything you need for a very comfortable stay in lovely Playa Negra. The kitchen is clean, large and well equipped. The ac is chilly. There is plenty of hot water. The house has a satellite tv and speedy wifi. The pool is pretty and was always the perfect temperature. The house has a large wrap-around porch which was the perfect place to enjoy the spectacular ocean views, flawless sunsets and cooling breezes. Every time we pulled into the driveway we remarked how much we loved our cute sea-side casa. It felt like home. Mary (the manager), the maintenance staff, the cleaning staff and the security team were excellent. We felt very safe and well cared for. Highly recommended!"

"My family stayed here last week. My kids are 7 and 11. We had such an amazing experience. The pool alone was used at least twice per day for probably 4 hours. We would explore the beach just steps from the house in the morning and afternoon. The kids loved playing with the hermit crabs that are everywhere. The beaches are so much fun, with boogie boarding, surfing, and just playing in the waves. We also would love to sit on the porch and watch the surfers get walloped by the big sets rolling in. The house is super, with a/c units in each room to keep everybody comfortable. The bedrooms are layed our really well, with an awesome bunk room for the kids. When not exploring, we watched TV and worked on internet. Although we cooked several meals in the kitchen, we also went to many of the nearby food joints, and they were fantastic. This is a great house for surfers for sure, but also for families that want a great place to enjoy an awesome beach vacation."

"We stayed at Casa Genesha with our two younger children (ages 12 and 10), our adult son and his girlfriend (twenty somethings). The house is beautifully designed with a perfect balance of outdoor spaces to enjoy the surrounding environment and comfortable indoor accommodations. Hitting the beach in the morning (short walk) and them relaxing in the pool was great. Playa Negra is a renowned surfing beach, and it lived up to its reputation. Sandy Beach just a minute walk away was great for the non surfers. The small village of Los Pargos was a pleasant surprise with some great dining choices.
There are limitless opportunities for adventure in Costa Rica. We chose to drive a few hours up to the Rincon De La Vieja park for a riding, tubing, and zip lining tour which as superb. A drive south to the surfing outpost of Marbella was also a lot of fun.
Judy the manager was terrific - very friendly and helpful.
This house was perfect for our family!"

"My husband and I stayed at Casa Luna Miel the first time in 2014 after having stayed in a hotel on our first trip to Costa Rica in 2012. We loved it from the moment we stepped inside and came back this year for a longer stay. It is a perfect house for a couple or a family as the guest room has a queen bed and the coolest built in bunk beds! Staying at Luna Miel is like coming home. My husband and I truly enjoy the entire Costa Rica experience one gets from renting a house. In 2014, Jarrod put us in touch with Adobe Rental Car for our vehicle and graciously explained where to go when we arrived...drawing maps for us, etc... so we were able to get groceries, gas, go to restaurants, and different surf breaks. This year, he did the same and after having helped refresh our memories, we can make our way around as easily as if we were locals! ...well, almost LOL... This year, the surf was pumping when we arrived, so my husband headed for the beach first rather than getting groceries. At the last minute, Jarrod had Mariah get us a few groceries to tide us over. To say Jarrod is accommodating is an understatement. The house itself is like a dream. The view of the ocean and the sunsets stay with me all year long. The exhilaration of jumping in the beautiful pool after coming back from the beach is awesome. The grounds are meticulously maintained. This year we did a few new things, which I recommend for anyone coming to Rancho Playa Negra. First, in home massages! Francis and her gentleman counterpart were unbelievable. I have massages regularly and have never been as relaxed as I was after having Francis work on me. The other is horseback riding along the beach to Avellanas. I have only been on a horse a couple times in my life and to ride a horse at sunset, along the beach and over rocks on the Costa Rican shoreline is an experience I will never forget. Jarrod and his team are honest and fair and a pleasure to be around. We have fallen in love with Costa Rica and Playa Negra and it is our dream to build a home in Rancho Playa Negra. While on this trip, Jarrod showed us some properties and spent time explaining the nuances of buying, building and living in Costa Rica. We hope we can be neighbors some day! Anyone thinking about a trip to Costa Rica should really consider any house in Rancho Playa Negra, but if there is such a thing as a perfect house, Casa Luna Miel is it. See you next year!"
