"Our family of 6 just spent two weeks at Casa Ganesha. What a wonderful home and property. The house was as pictured. Our 4 kids all had their own bedroom with air conditioning and we took over the master. No air conditioning but so open and with ceiling fan it really wasn't needed or missed.
Overlooking the ocean, it was nice to hear the crashing waves at night and the howler monkeys in the morning. Lots of wildlife: bird visitors every morning and two iguanas on our roof!
Our kids lived in the pool much of the day but enjoyed their time in the waves boogie boarding and learning to surf.
Good restaurants in the area and being part of the hotel Playa Negra complex made us feel safe (on site security). Being able to run a tab a the restaurant was convenient for beachside pina coladas (and smoothies for the kids).
House is located about 30 minutes south of Tamarindo (great touristy spot) which is nice for a visit, a dinner out or to stock up on groceries. Santa Cruz (also 30 min) was the most reasonable place to pick up groceries. Be sure to check out the cool church tower there!
Know that the weather it is HOT on the west coast during dry season. 33-36 degrees (91-97F) almost every day with high winds some of the time. Landscape is pretty brown. Well worth taking a day or two to see rainforest. We spent one night in Fortuna to see the Arenal Volcano and rainforest. This was the rainforest I had come to see. Rainforest hike and incredible zip lining experience over the canopy. It was lush and green. Great experience but was nice to return to the sun, beach, pool and wonderful home of Casa Ganesha.
Everyone we dealt with through this rental was wonderful! Serge answered emails quickly and answered all our many questions. Judy, the house manager was always available and Jennifer, the housekeeper did a wonderful job. People at the hotel were friendly and helpful.
Casa Ganesha is well worth the visit!"

"Casa Ventana has everything you need for a very comfortable stay in lovely Playa Negra. The kitchen is clean, large and well equipped. The ac is chilly. There is plenty of hot water. The house has a satellite tv and speedy wifi. The pool is pretty and was always the perfect temperature. The house has a large wrap-around porch which was the perfect place to enjoy the spectacular ocean views, flawless sunsets and cooling breezes. Every time we pulled into the driveway we remarked how much we loved our cute sea-side casa. It felt like home. Mary (the manager), the maintenance staff, the cleaning staff and the security team were excellent. We felt very safe and well cared for. Highly recommended!"

"Casa Fuego in Playa Negra was the perfect getaway for our family (my husband and I, our two kids, and my parents). The house slept us all comfortably and we enjoyed beautiful views of Playas Sandy and Negra from the bottom and top floor balconies. The pool and pool area was perfect for hanging out, having a BBQ, swimming and enjoying the sun. We had our own private path to the beach where the whole family was able to surf any time of the day! Jarrod and Meaghan were super accommodating and available for anything we needed. What a relaxing, adventurous few days! Thank you!"

"My husband and I stayed at Casa Luna Miel the first time in 2014 after having stayed in a hotel on our first trip to Costa Rica in 2012. We loved it from the moment we stepped inside and came back this year for a longer stay. It is a perfect house for a couple or a family as the guest room has a queen bed and the coolest built in bunk beds! Staying at Luna Miel is like coming home. My husband and I truly enjoy the entire Costa Rica experience one gets from renting a house. In 2014, Jarrod put us in touch with Adobe Rental Car for our vehicle and graciously explained where to go when we arrived...drawing maps for us, etc... so we were able to get groceries, gas, go to restaurants, and different surf breaks. This year, he did the same and after having helped refresh our memories, we can make our way around as easily as if we were locals! ...well, almost LOL... This year, the surf was pumping when we arrived, so my husband headed for the beach first rather than getting groceries. At the last minute, Jarrod had Mariah get us a few groceries to tide us over. To say Jarrod is accommodating is an understatement. The house itself is like a dream. The view of the ocean and the sunsets stay with me all year long. The exhilaration of jumping in the beautiful pool after coming back from the beach is awesome. The grounds are meticulously maintained. This year we did a few new things, which I recommend for anyone coming to Rancho Playa Negra. First, in home massages! Francis and her gentleman counterpart were unbelievable. I have massages regularly and have never been as relaxed as I was after having Francis work on me. The other is horseback riding along the beach to Avellanas. I have only been on a horse a couple times in my life and to ride a horse at sunset, along the beach and over rocks on the Costa Rican shoreline is an experience I will never forget. Jarrod and his team are honest and fair and a pleasure to be around. We have fallen in love with Costa Rica and Playa Negra and it is our dream to build a home in Rancho Playa Negra. While on this trip, Jarrod showed us some properties and spent time explaining the nuances of buying, building and living in Costa Rica. We hope we can be neighbors some day! Anyone thinking about a trip to Costa Rica should really consider any house in Rancho Playa Negra, but if there is such a thing as a perfect house, Casa Luna Miel is it. See you next year!"
